Up for Auction is a 2013 Subaru BRZ that has a non repairable title, this is not a salvage title, there is no option in the title type for Non repairable. This vehicle can not be registered in California, it may be able to be registered in other states but please make sure with your State before making an offer or bidding the car. The vehicle runs and drives. The driver airbag and 2 seat belts deployed in the accident but the passenger dash bag is ok. We included photos of the dealer equipment sheet with the options the car had. With only 6XXX miles on it, its a shame that the insurance company processed this as a non repairable vehicle.

We included pictures of the damage and the title but if you need any other information please let us know.

We have a California Nonrepairable Vehicle certificate on this car, that including a bill of sale will be given in case of export to another country. We are obligated to collect sales tax on the vehicle at the time of sale.

If the vehicle is sold to a buyer outside of California, it must be arranged to be transported by certified transport company to an address outside of California to avoid paying sales tax. If you are an out of state buyer and pick the vehicle up from our address, you will be required to pay sales tax. If you have any questions regarding registration, purchase or general items, please feel free to contact us.

Subaru Forester, Legacy and Outback earn IIHS Top Safety Pick+ ratings

Thu, 26 Dec 2013

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety announced its more rigorous standards for the Top Safety Pick+ crash test rating back in September, and has recently called out some new models that have attained this highest rating. Last year, the TSP+ category was created for vehicles passing the then-new small overlap crash test; this year the top award has been amended to include crash prevention technology.
Thanks to its EyeSight technology, the Subaru Legacy, Outback and Forester are among just 22 vehicles to have been named a 2014 TSP+ by the IIHS. Without this technology, all three vehicles - and the Impreza and XV Crosstrek - were still named a Top Safety Pick (without the +).
To test the crash prevention technology, the IIHS uses two tests (one at 12 miles per hour and one at 25 mph) to see how well the systems do to lessen the severity of an impact. or prevent an impact altogether. Vehicles are then given a rating from Superior (best), Advanced or Basic, and cars that do not offer forward collision warning or auto braking are not given a rating in this category. To be named a TSP+, a car must achieve at least a Basic score for crash prevention, but all three Subaru models earned a perfect score to receive a Superior rating. Toyota GT86 turbo, convertible, sedan variants back on the table

Fri, 02 May 2014

Okay Toyota, make up your mind. Figure it out. Quit playing games with our heart. Either build a bunch of variations of the excellent GT86 (also known as the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) or don't. At this point, we're just tired of the back and forth. After no shortage of denials, an Australian website is claiming that Toyota is reconsidering convertible, four-door, turbocharged and all-wheel-drive hybrid variants of the GT86. Kindly pass all the salt.
It's not that we don't want to believe the Aussies; we do. But when the story lists the same "sources in Japan" as a lot of the other denials and confirmations about GT86/BRZ/FR-S variants, well, there's a certain sense of the "Boy That Cried Wolf," here. Ignoring all that, then, what does Motoring.com.au claim to know?
Sources claim the GT86 Convertible will arrive in October 2014, while the turbocharged and hybrid sedans are slated for 2016.

Subaru updates EyeSight system with color-detecting cameras

Sun, 26 Jan 2014

Subaru is giving its EyeSight driver assistance camera system a major upgrade for the 2015 model year with new color cameras, as well as reducing its size by 15 percent over the rather bulky original system.
Subaru locates its EyeSight hardware inside the vehicle at the top of the windshield, which is unlike most other camera-based systems that have their hardware mounted somewhere in the front fascia. The benefit is that these rather expensive components are protected from any detritus that may hit the car, but the original system's size ate up a chunk of the driver's outward view. Thus, the shrinkage should be appreciated by new owners.
The upgraded stereo cameras have a 40-percent longer and wider detection range than the original system's cameras, and their ability to see color allows the system to recognize brake lights at a speed differential of 30 miles per hour, instead of 19 mph before. And as before, EyeSight continues to offer adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and pre-collision breaking that can slow the car automatically if an imminent accident is detected, even bringing the vehicle to a complete stop.
