This car runs fantastic and is a blast to drive. Fully Loaded with all the TRD upgrades including Suspension, Stainless Exhaust, Strut Bar, 19" Wheels and Tires, Spoiler and Carbon Fiber Trim. This XB even has the Dual DVD's in the headrest with wireless headsets. Great for the kids. The condition of the wheels are far from perfect. They do have some curb rash on them and shows some signs of corrosion here and there. The tires have been replaced 10k miles ago. There is one dent on the pass. side fender. You can't notice it looking straight on, but can see it from an angle. There are several very tiny stone chips on the front end as well. This car has never been smoked in and has had the oil changed every 5k miles along with tire rotation. Family is growing and I need to up-size. I am not interested in any trades. Please don’t ask. I will not accept a return, and there is no warranty on the vehicle. I reserve the right to end the auction early as this car is for sale locally. Bidders who have less than 10 feedback need to contact me prior to bidding or I will cancel the bid. A $500.00 deposit must be paid within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The deposit may be made thru paypal, cashiers check or cash. The remainder balance must be paid in full within 7 days, via cashiers check or cash. I will not accept paypal for the remainder. This Scion XB will not leave my possession until payment is made in full. If this car needs to be shipped then that will be full responsibility of the winning bidder. |

Customize a Scion, make it out of paper [w/video]
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Shin Tanaka is a "Japanese artist, graffiti writer, paper toy creator, designer" with Kennedy Center credentials - his Paper Shaper sneakers are especially popular. Scion has done a DIY collaboration with Tanaka that can get you every one of Scion's five models as a Paper Shaper.
There are two ways to get in on the auto origami, the first being to stop by the Scion booth if you happen by one of the coming season's auto shows. Since that's a lot of work and waiting to acquire a perforated sheet of paper, you can also download the Scion Paper Shaper app from iTunes. In the app you can customize your model, complete with custom paper sneakers on the custom paper base, then print it out and build it yourself.
If you have any more questions, well, the video and photos below will put it all together for you.
Lightweight Toyota GT86 spotted on Nordschleife with carbon panels, upgraded aero
Tue, 24 Jun 2014We've seen (and frankly reported on) so many rumors of more powerful and performance-focused versions of the Subaru BRZ, Toyota GT86 and Scion FR-S at this point that haven't materialized that, at this point, we're almost tired of them. Almost. But what we have here was enough to pique our jaded interests as only a carbon-bodied sports car on the Nürburgring could do.
What we're looking at is, well, we don't quite know, to tell you the truth. What we can tell is that it's a Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S for us) wearing new wheels and a carbon-fiber hood, roof, racing-spec rear wing and subtle lip spoiler. The vents in the hood indicate that the prototype in question could be packing an upgraded engine to go with the lighter body panels and upgraded aero, and the interior (at least as far as we can see) looks pretty well stripped out.
The right-hand drive configuration tells us this is either destined for former territories of the British Empire or for the racetrack. Considering the ride height, full glass and apparent lack of roll cage, our money's on this prototype is being developed for the Japanese Domestic Market, where Toyota badges the sports car simply as the 86. We can always hope, though, that some version makes it into Scion showrooms in North America... we just won't get our hopes up too high.
Toyota GT86 convertible could debut in March
Tue, 27 Nov 2012The dates are lining up, now we wait to see how the badges align. Just before the Toyota GT 86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ line-up was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show last year, there was a report that Subaru was considering a convertible while Toyota wouldn't even comment on it. That got swapped around when earlier this year the chief engineer on Toyota's side said a convertible was coming, and then a Scion FR-S droptop was confirmed for early 2014.
Autocar now reports that the Toyota GT 86 convertible will make its first appearance at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. In a car whose specs like weight, packaging, horsepower and center of gravity were all tightly controlled to get the most from the least, the changes necessitated by chopping the roof could make this a very different car. It's said to employ a fabric roof to keep a "small" weight gain check, and the suspension will be softened to work more harmoniously with the decreased body stiffness. And somewhere in all that the back seat and trunk space will need to take a hit.
In other news, Autocar says the hi-po GT 86 with some kind of capacitor system instead of batteries is being worked on for 2015.
