2006 Scion Xb on 2040-cars
Cypress, California, United States
NO RESERVE!!!!! 2006 Scion XB I Purchased this XB about 3+ years ago with 88,000 miles on it. I bought it from a private seller in Houston, Texas. I flew back, Paid for it and drove her back to Southern California. I had lost my job and needed to get a vehicle that got great gas mileage. Since we already had great experience with our 2008 XB I was sold on the Scion XB but the newer models were too much money. When I researched the 2006 I found they got better gas mileage and were much more affordable. This has been an excellent car. We can get 5 of us in it with lugage for a weekend trip. This is a very roomy vehicle. Best of all it is a very inexpensive car to own and maintain. I hate to sell it but needed to get another car for work. Currently the XB has new tires, New Battery and Newer Brakes. Things I have added: Tein Springs, Tokiko Shocks, Projection Beam Headlights with Driving Heilo Lights, LED Tail Lights, Pioneer Touch Screen Stereo NAV., A Landeau Top with the Mat Black finish, Tinted Windows. (Currently has the Back up camera option but License Plate Camera is not included) I also have a NEW rear wing never installed that goes with it. It is painted Matt Black like the top and ready to install. Exterior: The Burgandy is the original color. The top has been painted in the Matt Black with a Landeau Top. It has the Driving Heilo Lights that come on with the ignition. The low and high beams work normaly off the headlight switch. This one also has the optional factory driving lights. The Burgandy is in good condition with some cosmetics. I was backed into in a parking lot and the rear drivers side has a dent that needs to be repaired. I was planning on having the lower portion from the windows down re painted in the factory burgandy. Even with the damage (Which is minor. No Structural) this is a really nice looking XB. Once the bottom is painted it would be an awesome looking car. Interior: The interior is in great condition. Non smoker. Black Cloth seats with a couple minor spots (May come out with a good detail). All lights and guages work properly. Carpet is in great shape. Original floor mats are still in it and in great shape. Even has the rear carpeted floor mat. Underside: The underside is in great shape. No leaks. Engine: Runs strong with no noises. No leaks. all Accessories work properly. A/C Blows Cold Trans: The 5 speed shifts smoothly. The clutch is tight and doesn't slip at all. The XB is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Clean and Clear Title in hand. I will be more than happy to show the car or take some more pictures of specific areas if needed. Watch My listings as there will be 73-74 Chevy Truck Parts and more 70-71 Cuda Parts coming soon. I am more than happy to answer any questions so please ask any questions before bidding. Also ask to bid if you have less than 10 positive feedbacks. Been burned too many times in the past. I will cancel bids with less than 10 positive feedbacks if you do not ask before bidding! Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. There are many transport companies out there. I have found that Uship is a great way to find a shipper too. $500 deposit via Paypal is due within 3 days of end of the auction. Remainder due within 7 days via Cash in person, Wire, Cashiers Check or Money Order. |

Toyota CEO Lentz still envisions Scion as a small premium brand
Sat, Dec 6 2014Ward's Auto has published a piece on Scion that further confirms that we really have no idea what to expect from the brand. In speaking with Toyota USA CEO Jim Lentz about what was once firmly intended to be a hip, experimental youth brand, Lentz said, "I still personally believe small-premium is the direction we should be going." We'll walk right on by Lentz's use of the word "still" and focus on "small-premium" with the question: How? As much as we dig the FR-S, nothing in the brand's lineup can get within a whiff of the word "premium." It's even further away from being able to sniff the lifestyle-powered exhaust of a Mini or Fiat 500, and the production version of the forthcoming IM Concept (inset) will only draw it closer to its plain vanilla parent. Of course, Scion could head the premium way, but the amount of time and money needed to make it work would seem to go against everything the brand currently stands for. The murk stays just as murky when Lentz's words are placed next to those of Scion brand VP Doug Murtha, who spoke to Ward's at a different time. Murtha's response to the "small-premium" note was, "He may be having discussions at levels I'm not," and that such intent is "probably a longer-term proposition than we're looking at right now," with planning under way out to 2025. We're already being prepared for the iM to come in under $20,000, which will ensure the "attainability factor" of the "younger audience" that Murtha still views as Scion's base. And at the moment, Murtha is probably focused on adding desirability to the current lineup, halting the 14-percent year-over-year sales slide to a point that's just over half the annual volume necessary for profitability, and making sure he and his dealers have the support necessary to make the required splash with new product. Aside from all that, what might we expect? We know there'll be another product shown along with the production IM at the 2015 New York Auto Show, and Murtha isn't against a small crossover if they can come up with "something appropriately Scion-esque." So... there's that.
Toyota GT86 gets TRD treatment in UK
Fri, 08 Feb 2013As dearly as we love the Toyota GT86 / Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ franchise, we readily admit we wouldn't look sideways at a model with a bit more firepower. And while that's not quite on the table yet, Toyota has been busy amping up the visual firepower of its rear-drive coupe with a whole host of TRD parts. To this point, that's been a largely à la carte affair, but the automaker's UK outpost has just announced a special-edition model that allows our British friends to pick up the whole shooting match all in one go.
The Toyota GT86 TRD will only be available in black and white, and just 250 examples are to be built. As you can see from the excellent gallery above, the catalog of look-faster bits include a more aggressive front air dam, side skirts, rear bumper fascia, spoiler and unique 18-inch forged alloys. Additional flourishes include a TRD shift lever and branded radiator cap. The sole concession to actual performance? A "fast-response quad exhaust" that might only improve things audibly - 0-62 mph is apparently unchanged at 7.7 seconds, and the top end is still 140 mph for the manual transmission model. (The auto gets by with 8.4 seconds and 130 mph).
Pricing? Glad you asked. £31,495 for GT 86 TRD manual, £32,995 for the automatic - that's nearly $50,000 US for the tripedalist and just over for the automatic. (Those are heady prices, but bear in mind that UK MSRPs and taxes are generally significantly higher than their US counterparts). If the standard GT86 is more your speed, it still rings up at a more affordable £24,995 - roughly $39,500 - leaving plenty of budget for actual performance parts. No word yet on North American availability of a special TRD model, but we've got a call in...
2015 Scion FR-S gets suspension, appearance enhancements
Thu, 15 May 2014A couple of weeks ago, we told you about some suspension and appearance changes for the European-market Toyota GT86 - a car that's better known as the Scion FR-S (and Subaru BRZ) here in the United States. At the time, our US contacts at Scion told us we'd have final confirmation "soon" as to whether or not these upgrades would make their way to our FR-S, and now, we have those official details.
For 2015, the FR-S features a more rigid front suspension setup, and the rear shock absorbers have been retuned, all of which has been done to reduce body roll and improve feedback. Other upgrades include a new shark-fin antenna and larger exhaust pipes that are now flush with the rear bodywork. Inside, buyers will be treated to an updated interior panel with a carbon fiber look, the addition of automatic on/off headlights, and a new key design. All of this comes at very little additional cost, with the manual transmission-equipped 2015 FR-S starting at $24,900 (not including $755 for destination) - an increase of $400.
Elsewhere in the Scion range, the tC coupe has been updated slightly for 2015. The not-as-sporty coupe now features steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters on automatic transmission-equipped models, and a couple of new colors are offered: Cosmic Gray and Blizzard Pearl. The 2015 tC starts at $19,210 - the same as the 2014 model.
