This auction will be for a 2005 Saturn Vue. This front wheel drive four door Sport Utility Vehicle has a very nice Black exterior appearance with a Gray cloth interior. This Saturn comes nicely equip with power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, tilt wheel steering, air conditioning, a factory am/fm/cd player, rear window defrost and a rear window wiper.
The drivetrain is a clean and has a super smooth running 2.2 liter fuel injected four cylinder engine with a manual five speed transmission. The engine runs like new, really! No leaks, no smoke and no problems. The transmission is the issue.. All other gears work fine and shift as they should. All the other mechanics of the car are in great shape. This Vue starts right up, idles smooth and driving down the road is smooth and easy. The Gray cloth interior overall is in good shape but there are some dirty soil stains in the floor carpet, some on the seats and some small tears from normal use on the seats as well. That is it though, the interior is complete with head and arm rests on the seats and a fold down rear seat. All the electrical systems are working, the air conditioning and A/C are working, the lights and gauges all work. There is also a check engine light on but I do not know the code? It might need tune up coz it comes and gone. The Black exterior body is really outstanding. The paint is all original and all in very nice shape. No damage, no broken or missing parts and just a really nice clean appearance. This Saturn Vue has alloy wheels, factory tinted glass and factory mud guards. All the glass and trim is in good shape and it really is a nice looking car. With 123,953 miles this 2005 Saturn Vue . It is a perfect export vehicle too if any exporters are looking. This Saturn is a good reliable strong running vehicle, excellent to use for light duty work, service type vehicle or even someone who has long commutes. GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll

588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
Saturn Ion steering probe closed by NHTSA
Tue, 22 Apr 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has closed its investigation into faulty electric power steering motors affecting 334,728 Saturn Ions from 2004-2007, because General Motors has issued a recall for them. The group's research found that the part failed at a high rate in the vehicles.
GM recalled over 1.3 million vehicles a few weeks ago, including the Ion, because the power steering could suddenly fail. If broken, the cars could still turn, but it took greater effort. The automaker is also covering 96,324 2003 Ions with a lifetime warranty for their motors, but it's not immediately replacing them.
NHTSA opened its investigation into the motors in September 2011, and it found 4,787 complaints and 30,560 warranty claims that showed failure for the Ion alone. It estimated a complaint rate of 14.3 incidents per 1,000 vehicles and warranty claim rate of 9.1 percent. The investigation also found evidence of 12 crashes caused by loss of steering, two of which resulted in injuries.
GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
