Up for sale is a 2007 Saab 9-5 2.3T in very good condition. Finished in a Fusion Blue Metallic exterior and a Parchment interior the car looks very elegant. Wood interior trims and many features that include all electric seats, XM Radio, Harmon Kardon Sound System.
The interior is in extremely clean condition, leather has no tears, I have taken good care of the leather. The rear seat has been rarely used and looks great. Clean black carpet and comes with OEM All Weather floor mats which I bought about a year ago. This Saab is mechanically sound, runs and drives very smooth. Comes with a 260 hp turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, a five-speed automatic with manual gear selection in the steering wheel. Safety features include all-disc antilock brakes, traction control, an electronic stability system, front side-impact airbags, and active front head restraints. Currently has 143,440 miles on it, all highway miles. I am no longer driving it every day this is why I am selling it. It has been a very good commuter car for me. I am the second owner of this vehicle and have meticulously mantained it. Oil/filter has been changed every 5k miles. Some of the recent work done on the vehicle is the following (done in the last 10k miles) Installed Complete Front & Rear Brakes Installed (2) New TOYO Front Tires Installed a new Ignition Cassette Installed a NEW Throttle Body Installed a NEW Power Steering Pump Replaced Idler Pulley & Timing Tensioner Replaced the main motor & transmission mounts Replaced the Headlight Level Sensor Replaced the A/C Expansion Valve + Freon Recharge Replaced the Cabin Air Filter Transmission serviced new fluid added. This Saab has a clean Car Fax, never been in any type of accident. Has some dings, dents and road rash. Basically it's what you can expect from a car that has been driven for 7 years. I have all the original papers, some of the dealer service papers from the original owner. Comes with 2 keys all owners manuals and original window sticker. |

Autoblog sell-it-yourself highlight: 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero Wagon
Tue, Apr 25 2017Want to sell your car? We make it safe, easy and free. Quickly create listings with up to 6 photos. Reach - literally - millions of buyers. Log in and create your free listings. In a recent Autoblog sampling of 10 pre-owned choices at least 10 years old and selling for under $10K, an Autoblog editor gave a shout-out to Saab's 9-5. And who could blame him? Despite its departure from the US market and subsequent closure as an automaker, Saab's brand still resonates among a committed core of enthusiasts. The Saab 9-5, available in both sedan and wagon variants, was the upper model of a two-model lineup; the 9-3 sedan sat below it, while the GM-sourced 9-7 SUV didn't appear until 2005. Both the sedan and wagon 9-5 were surprisingly roomy, and the Aero variant, pictured here, incredibly fast. This for-sale example, located in North Carolina, is at 176,000 miles a well-used example in need of (at least) a repaint. But this is the perfect color combination, plus a combo of sport and utility. Buy it for around $2K, hold another $5,000 in reserve to cover the obvious needs, and you can enjoy a distinctive piece of practical and powerful transportation. Related Video:
Junkyard Gem: 1988 Saab 900
Tue, Nov 29 2016Saab had a cult following in North America going back to the two-stroke Saab 96, but it wasn't until the 900 made its debut for the 1978 model year that the marque started to be considered a mainstream – if still a bit odd – brand here. Based on the venerable 99 but seeming a lot more modern, the 900 sold well to those who wanted to drive something sensibly Scandinavian but didn't want the stodginess of a Volvo. These cars were especially popular in Colorado, and I found this high-mile-but-solid '88 in a Denver self-service wrecking yard. Nearly made it to 300,000 miles, but it never got the chance. The key is still in the console-mounted ignition switch, and the steel lanyard indicates that this car went to the wrecking yard via an insurance-company or dealership-trade-in auction. Since the car has no major body damage, that means that its final owner traded it in – reluctantly, we hope – on another car, and nobody was willing to bid over scrap value for the elderly Swede at auction. Most such auctions have an arrangement with a local wrecking yard to take all the unsold cars for a set price, and that's what we can assume happened to this car. Chances are that it was still in running condition when it showed up here. You could get a 1988 Saab 900 with a three-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission, but I can't recall having ever seen one so equipped. Most Saab 900 buyers insisted on manuals. The engine in this car is a slant-four based on the same Triumph engine used in the Triumph TR7. By the 1980s, Saab had made sufficient improvements to the design that it was several orders of magnitude more reliable than its British Leyland ancestors. This one made 110 horses, which did an acceptable job of moving the car's 2,695 pounds. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. There will be five new SAAB EVs, starting in 2017
Thu, Dec 17 2015National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS), which bought Swedish automaker Saab out of bankruptcy in 2012, has finally solidified some of its vehicle-making plans. And given the prominence of the word "electric" in the company's name, NEVs is staying true to its vision, announcing that it will have five electric vehicle models for sale by 2018. The company recently made the announcement in Stockholm, according to Saab Blog. The first EV will be based on the Saab 9-3 platform and may be available in China and Sweden by 2017. The following year, NEVS is planning to debut four more all-electric models, including a sports car, SUV, crossover, and a fastback. The cars will be assembled in Tianjin, China. Whether the Saab badge will actually be used remains in question, as NEVS is no longer affiliated with the Saab AB aerospace company. Making things even potentially murkier is the fact that NEVS said this fall that it would sell the intellectual property rights for the 9-3 to the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), which would make the model the official Turkish National Car. Then again, nothing's been simple for Saab, which has passed through General Motors and Spyker and has had multiple reorganizations. Either way, the plan follows up a summer announcement that NEVS would work with China-based automaker Dongfeng Motor Corp. to develop electrified vehicles. Dongfeng has worked with electric-vehicle leaders Nissan and Renault as well as Honda, Kia and Peugeot. The company made more than 3.8 million vehicles in 2014.
