2003 SAAB 9-5 Linear 2.3L TURBO!!

100% Ebay rating

This 2003 SAAB 9-5 is a good running car with 179K miles. Has normal wear and tear and a few extra dings. This is not a new car, but runs well. It does need a few things and I list with "buyer eyes" so there are no surprises. I want to keep my good rating. Bid with confidence, but also ASK QUESTIONS before bidding. It is my daily runner to college, but with our rough PA winter the potholes gave me some trouble and now I get a noise and vibration on the front right tire. I am ready for something newer. I think it could be a bent tie-rod end or a wheel bearing finally gave out. Bid expecting to make that repair. It passed inspection until August 2014. Moonroof motor is tired, but works. Trunk motor stopped working so I removed it and was going to buy a new one on ebay. It has been removed, but I didn't buy that part yet. I will give you the old motor so you have the right part. Tires are in good shape. Interior good shape. Radio and sound system are great. This would be a great car for someone looking for a decent European car. Engine oil changed regularly. This has a low reserve and starting at $100. Upon winning the bid you must pay 20% via PAYPAL. This deposit is non-refundable. The balance is due upon pick-up. Please only bid if you plan to buy. You can drive this home, but you will hear the noise I'm talking about... or you could flatbed it if you are worried about the vibration. I really like the styling of this SAAB and it had a very smooth ride until the pothole deal. The Turbo kicks in great. No fluid leaks that I know about. Always used premium gas to keep it running nicely. I bought this a couple of years ago from a neighbor that had a salvage title because he had a small accident on the front end. He had all the repairs done & in PA you have to have it re-inspected (a very stringent inspection) before they re-issue a title. For that matter, the car has to pass inspection every year. So you are getting a good car here. Feel free to ask questions via ebay. Good luck bidding!

Koenigsegg plans a ‘CO2 neutral’ hybrid supercar

Fri, Feb 1 2019

Fresh from receiving a 150 million-euro infusion from National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the Chinese-backed company that bought up Saab's assets out of bankruptcy, supercar maker Koenigsegg has signaled just what it plans to do under the new joint venture. Christian von Koenigsegg gave an interview to Top Gear in which he said he wants to develop an all-new supercar to sit below ultra-exclusive models like the Agera RS and Regera, priced at around ˆ1 million (about $1.15 million) to grow sales from 20 a year into the hundreds, because "our brand has outgrown our production volumes by quite a big margin." And it will feature a novel, "completely CO2 neutral" hybrid powrtrain using the "freevalve" camless combustion engine technology the company has been developing in concert with battery-electric power. "Given the freevalve technology, we can actually cold-start the car on pure alcohol, down to -30 degrees Celsius, so there's no need for any fossil fuel mix then," he told Top Gear. "The idea is to prove to the world that even a combustion engine can be completely CO2 neutral." Von Koenigsegg previously hinted at the setup after talking about how his engineers were responding to Tesla's claims that its forthcoming next-generation Roadster would be capable of a 1.9-second 0-60 mph time. He further hints that the new hybridized supercar will look unmistakably like a Keonigsegg but be in a different segment altogether from either the Agera RS or plug-in hybrid Regera. Consider us very much intrigued and eager to hear more. Meanwhile, Koenigsegg has said it plans to reveal the successor to the Agera RS next month at the Geneva Motor Show based on a refined version of the same supercharged V8 combustion engine. The new joint venture with NEVS, meanwhile, sees that company take a 65 percent ownership stake, with Koenigsegg holding the rest and contributing its trove of intellectual property, technology licenses and product design. NEVS also gets a 20 percent stake in Koenigsegg itself. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Saab's latest Chinese owners facing their own credit woes

Sat, 16 Aug 2014

Poor Saab, it can't seem to get a break. General Motors couldn't seem to make a go of it, neither could Spyker, and now it seems that its latest owner is encountering some problems of its own.
That owner, of course, is National Electric Vehicle Sweden, a Swedish holding company owned by Chinese investors. NEVS recently restarted production at the Saab plant in Trollhättan, Sweden, and had some ambitious plans for the brand's revival, but it appears to have run out of cash.
This according to a report in The Wall Street Journal, which discovered that NEVS is having trouble paying its suppliers. One such supplier, called Labo Test, has reportedly been owed some $22,000 by NEVS since February, and without payment, petitioned the Swedish government to place NEVS into bankruptcy proceedings. If that seems a little extreme to you over twenty-two grand, it would seem the parties agree, as the petition has reportedly since been withdrawn.

Son surprises mom with her dream car, a 1973 Saab 99

Wed, Aug 13 2014

Often, it feels like the news is just a never-ending stream of one depressing headline after another. It can be so liberating to see something positive and uplifting every once in a while. Just look at the ecstatic expression on this mother's face after receiving her dream car from her son. Mom has some seriously quirky taste too: she isn't after a muscle car or a two-seat droptop; instead, it's a 1973 Saab 99 EMS in a very '70s shade of copper at the top of her wish list. According to the video, it took her son about a year to track down this hunk of Swedish steel and save up the money to purchase it. Though, judging from his mom's reaction, it was worth every penny. She puts together what's going on with the Saab pretty quickly and immediately starts swearing at her son – out of love, of course. If you're feeling a little blue, consider this a much-needed pick-me-up. Watching the unbridled joy of someone getting something that they always wanted just feels wonderful.
