2000 SAAB 9-3 Turbo Convertible! NO RESERVE AUCTION!
This vehicle is a solid running car and needs a little TLC. Transmission, engine and all power features work. The top does not currently open but the motor for it works, it is most likely the cover that is stuck which activates the pinch control. The turbo pulls strong and the car makes 30+ miles per gallon.
Expect normal
wear and tear for the year and mileage. Don't miss out; please feel free to
email or call us with any questions you might have. We are here to help and
want you to bid with confidence. As always we welcome pre end of auction
inspections, and remember that this is a used vehicle and to expect to always
have to do something to your new car. Also if you would like a picture of
something specific feel free to ask. You are entering into
a legal and binding contract to purchase this vehicle described above. Winning
bidder MUST contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements
for FULL payment at that time. Pickup times must be scheduled with 72 hours’
notice, due to getting the vehicles fully detailed, paperwork ready, etc. If no contact is made
within 48 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the
next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Appropriate feedback will be left at
the end of all transactions! There is a $199 dealer services fee added to all
transactions. Buyer is responsible
for pickup or shipment of this vehicle within 14 days of auction end and PAYS
ALL SHIPPING COSTS. All vehicles not picked up after 14 days from the close of
auction will be subjected to a $20.00 per day storage fee, unless satisfactory
prior arrangements are made and full payment has been received. We works with
several local and national auto transport shipping companies. If you need
shipping you may contact us for a listing of quality and reliable transporters.
You may also locate shippers by doing a web search for “auto shippers”. We guaranty that this unit comes with a
clean and lien free title. All vehicles are sold "AS-IS,
WHERE-IS." No warranty is expressed, written or implied from the seller
whatsoever; however, there may be a manufacturers’ factory warranty remaining
on the vehicle. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description,
authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in
connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any
incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or
representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be
construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to
have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself as to the
condition and value of this vehicle and to bid based upon that judgment solely. Pre-sale inspections
are not only welcome, but are recommended and encouraged. We will make every
available effort to accommodate a time for either you or a certified mechanic
of your choice to inspect this vehicle at our location. Please have all
inspections done prior to bidding. Inspections companies are listed on our page
and easily found on the web as well as within eBay. The seller shall and will
make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this
vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no
responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the
vehicle. Please remember the age of the unit that you are purchasing and expect
to spend for repairs accordingly. If you have any
questions about this vehicle - please ASK. Never assume anything not listed is
included. We reserve the right to end this listing if the vehicle is no longer
available for sale and to notify bidders and cancel this auction at any time.
Additionally, we reserve the right to cancel bids placed from those with
excessive negative feedbacks or zero feedbacks. PLEASE be realistic
and realize that these are used vehicles and although we only buy the cleanest
cars available, a nick or chip is always possible. All used cars including this
one may have dings, nicks and chips, scratches and any other marks that are
associated with use consistent with the age and mileage of the vehicle.
Obviously, a car that is 10 years old will show more wear and have more flaws
than one that is only 2 years old. Classic cars will show difference in their
condition based on whether original or restored expect normal wear and tear.
Most cars are sold at wholesale prices, many, way below book prices. Therefore,
there is minimum profit, especially on "no reserve" auctions. As
such, we cannot afford to warranty the vehicle as if you had purchased it for
full list price. We strongly recommend that all buyers purchase the Extended
Service Warranty (available on most cars). This will help defray the cost of
mechanical repairs should any become necessary in the future. Remember some of
these cars are near a decade old and they may be new to you, but that does not
change the fact that they are used vehicles and repairs may be needed at any
time regardless of how short a time period you have owned the car. All basic
maintenance should be done to start off from scratch with your new vehicle we
will check all fluids. While we try to service any known defects it is always
possible for any used vehicles to need service or repairs in the first days or
weeks of ownership; NOT likely, but possible! Since these vehicles are used,
please remember that books, extra keys, remote entry keys, CD cartridges,
etc....do not always remain with the vehicle throughout their life. We will not
be responsible for these minor accessories. These items are all replaceable at
any local Factory Dealer or here on eBay for a few dollars. Placing your bid on
this auction constitutes your agreement and acceptance of these terms and
conditions. In addition, all non-paying bidders will be held liable for a
$500.00 re-listing fee that, if not paid, WILL be filed with all 3 major credit
bureaus. TERMS OF THIS SALE YOU ARE ENTERING INTO A LEGAL AND
BINDING CONTRACT TO PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE DESCRIBED ABOVE DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS AUCTION

time. A minimum deposit of $500.00 is due

GM re-recalls 11k SUVs
Tue, Oct 13 2015General Motors is recalling a bunch of previously recalled SUVs because, well, they still aren't quite fixed. The latest repairs are necessary on 10,974 SUVs in North America, including 9,932 in only the US. Affected models include the 2006-2007 Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and GMC Envoy; plus the 2006 Trailblazer EXT and Envoy XL. While not listed by NHTSA, a statement by GM to Autoblog says the 2006-2007 Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender are also affected. In these SUVs, it's possible that liquid could get into the driver's door master power window switch module and cause a short circuit. This could potentially lead to a fire, and owners are urged to park the vehicles outside until repaired. GM has been trying to fix this issue for years. It started as an investigation into fires, and that led to a recall for about 250,000 vehicles in cold-weather states. A nationwide campaign came in 2013 for 193,000 of them in the US. Last year, the automaker decided to replace the whole module as a repair. However in a recent investigation of these recalls, GM discovered that this latest group of SUVs never received the new part. According to documents submitted to NHTSA (as a PDF), "Some dealers incorrectly used the labor code associated with module replacement when, instead of replacing the module, they only added a protective coating to the module." To fix things this time, the models finally get the correct component. Related Video: GM Statement General Motors is recalling 9,932 older midsize SUVs in the U.S. because they were mistakenly excluded from an earlier recall. Certain 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL, and 2006-2007 TrailBlazer, Envoy, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender vehicles may continue to have a condition in which the printed circuit board inside the driver's door may corrode and short if exposed to certain fluids such as melted snow containing road salt. GM is aware of four fires but no crashes, injuries or fatalities associated with the expanded recall. The total number of vehicles being recalled, including Canada, Mexico and exports is 10.974. Customers are urged to park these vehicles outside until repairs have been made. GM reported this recall to the NHTSA on September 23.
Boeing, Saab take first flight in T-X trainer 36 months after starting development
Wed, Dec 21 2016This post is appearing on Autoblog Military, Autoblog's sub-site dedicated to the vehicles, aircraft and ships of the world's armed forces. Bringing a new fighter from drawing board to its first flight is generally a lengthy endeavor, taking years of planning and tweaking and engineering. Or, at least it normally does. Boeing and Saab just took their new joint-developed training fighter, the T-X, out for its first spin just 36 months after starting development. According to Saab's deputy program manager for the T-X, Eddy De la Motte, that's half the time it usually takes to get a new jet in the sky. "We went from [critical design review] to first flight in 12 months. We don't do that very much at the Boeing Company," Boeing's program manager for the T-X, Ted Torgerson told Defense News. "I don't want to say it has not been done, but for a manned aircraft to go through a complete production-ready design, that is as fast and as efficient as we've ever been through it." Boeing/Saab's first test flight was a simple, 55-minute matter for Boeing test pilots Steven Schmidt and Dan Draeger. The pair took the plane up to 10,000 feet and hit speeds of 231 knots (265 miles per hour) while running handling checks on the twin-tail, single-engine jet. "I've been a part of this team since the beginning, and it was really exciting to be the first to train and fly," pilot Schmidt said. "The aircraft met all expectations. It's well designed and offers superior handling characteristics. The cockpit is intuitive, spacious and adjustable, so everything is within easy reach." "It was a smooth flight and a successful test mission," Draeger, who rode shotgun in the instructor's seat said in an official release. "I had a great all-around view throughout the flight from the instructor's seat, which is critical during training." Boeing/Saab's T-X is one of four jets competing for the role as the US military's next training aircraft. Northrop Grumman is fielding a clean-sheet design that allegedly flew earlier this year, while Lockheed Martin and Raytheon are modifying existing designs with partners – the South Korean KAI T-50 for Lockheed and the Leonardo M-346 for Raytheon. Junkyard Gem: 1971 Saab 96
Sat, Jan 9 2021Americans could buy the very first mass-produced Saab car, the 92, all the way back in 1950. Few did, because a tiny and odd-looking Swedish car with a smoky two-stroke engine buzzing out 25 horsepower didn't seem suitable for highway use, especially when a new Plymouth business coupe sold for $1,371 (about $15,180 today). Then came the 93, notable to Americans mostly for being sold by novelist Kurt Vonnegut's Saab dealership in Massachusetts. The first Saab to win over respectable numbers of American car shoppers was the 96, introduced here for the 1961 model year. North American 96 sales continued through 1973, and I've managed to find one of the later 96s in a junkyard located near Pikes Peak in Colorado. North American sales of the much less oddball 99 began in the 1969 model year, and that car evolved directly into the original 900 that sold very well through the early 1990s. Still, some Americans living in icy regions stayed loyal to the 96, so Saab kept selling 96s here until federal emissions and safety regulations made such sales unprofitable. Meanwhile, Scandinavians could buy new 96s all the way through 1980. My grandfather, a self-taught engineer who set foot outside the city limits of St. Paul, Minn., only to race Corvettes at Elkhart Lake (in summer) and all manner of rust-prone imports on frozen lakes (in winter), had this Saab 96 when I was a kid. The somewhat uneven bodywork near street level is the result of house-paint-over-Bondo corrosion repairs, and I recall going on some terrifying high-speed rides around town with Grandpa, circa 1975, watching the pavement flash by through the holes in the floor as we headed to the VFW for the meat raffle. Hey, the St. Paul VFW had Grain Belt on tap for cheap, a consolation for those who failed to win any meat. After that, a man could take his Saab to an establishment selling authentic St. Paul booya. As I recall, this Saab finally broke in half at an ice race in the late 1970s and got replaced by a slightly less rusty Rabbit. The serious Saab 96 nuts— including my grandfather— preferred the two-stroke three-cylinder engine, due to its chainsaw racket and allegedly superior performance on ice. By 1969, however, a Ford-produced V4 became the only powerplant available in a new 96 on our shores (the V4 had been an option for a couple of years prior to that). Someone grabbed the 65-horsepower V4 before I reached this car.
