501-372-3033, ask for Chuck (who has serviced the car for the 15 years we have had it.)  Investments include but not limited to are: engine rebuild, transmission replace, power steering rebuild, fuel pump replaced, alternator replaced, brake system rebuild, various belts and hoses replaced, paint, interior leather, headliner all replaced, wood refurbished, new carpets throughout. No missing parts except the original ashtray and 8 track player have been removed and 6 disc cd player installed with am fm sound system. Front and rear windshields replaced, plastic lens covers replaced.  Has the original jack, good whitewall tires, seat belts replaced.  All lighting works, locks, boot and bonnet releases, and emergency brake. The undercarriage is clean, exhaust system replaced.

This car was gently used in our spa business as a motor coach and has been garaged ever since we have had it.  We are the third owners. She was originally sold in Beverly Hills to a film producer and then sold to a screen writer and then to us.  We are planning for our retirement and it's time to let our baby go.  She drives beautifully. Like an grande dame she is showing her age here and there with a few minor paint chips and cracks, there is a little rust speckle on the front bumper, the wood finish inside shows minor surface crazing, some of the leather on the dash has lifted and can be reglued.  All in all these are minor fixes but our time of enjoying her is ending and we will be sad to see her go.

This is a good solid car that is a daily driver ready for a new home.  She does everything a car should do, starts, stops, and has a lovely cushy ride.

Serious bidders only, please. You may call with questions if genuinely interested 501-351-2783   No warranty, with a clear title, ready to go. Buyer must arrange transport, or drive her home. This is a well cared for stunningly beautifully expertly maintained car.

Rolls-Royce readying Wraith convertible

Thu, 08 May 2014

For seven years, Rolls-Royce got by on the Phantom line alone, expanding on the original saloon with a long-wheelbase version, a coupe and the convertible. But now that the Ghost is part of the family, Goodwood seems to be following a similar expansion.
What started with the Ghost sedan has since been joined by the extended-wheelbase model and the Wraith fastback coupe. And now we're receiving spy shots of a Wraith-based convertible undergoing testing.
Potentially to be called the Wraith Drophead Coupe like its larger Phantom-based counterpart, the cabrio is likely to borrow much from the Wraith fastback - including its 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 624 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque - but with a folding cloth roof mechanism to let the wind and engine note in, although the prototype pictured here is wearing a makeshift hardtop.

BMW profit of $2.7B is down as automaker invests to keep luxury lead

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

Despite selling 6.6-percent more vehicles - a record by volume - and posting higher revenues in the second quarter of 2013, BMW Group's profit of 2.07 million euros ($2.75 billion) is down 8.8 percent from last year. Investments in new technology (e.g. the new i3) and personnel, in addition to a competitive market, are to blame, BMW states. But the automaker remains committed to its fiscal targets for 2013, which, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG, Norbert Reithofer, says will be "on a similar scale to 2012."
The BMW brand's sales performance in the first half of the year, which increased by 7.7 percent to 804,258 vehicles delivered, was good enough for it to maintain its lead in the luxury market, narrowly beating Audi, which delivered 780,510 vehicles, Automotive News reports. Mercedes-Benz delivered 694,433 vehicles to cement third place.

Rolls-Royce planning plug-in hybrid

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

Rolls-Royce is not the first marque you'd think of when it comes to environmentally friendly transportation. Its cars are big - often the size of SUVs - and pack ginormous twelve-cylinder engines displacing over six and a half liters. Those upright Parthenon grilles can't be very aerodynamic, either. But the way the wind is blowing these days, Goodwood will have to get with the program sooner or later.
It developed an electric version of the Phantom a couple of years ago called the 102EX and showed it to customers around the world. But people weren't interested, so Rolls-Royce killed the program. Not to be deterred, however, Rolls is now said to be working on a plug-in hybrid that would countermand some of the shortcomings - like range and recharging times - that killed the 102EX.
The technology would apparently be borrowed from parent company BMW which is developing it for the X5 eDrive and allow Rolls-Royce to reduce its carbon footprint and offer a more environmentally friendly mode of transportation to those who don't want to skimp on the luxury and prestige.
