'71 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. Engine out and apart due to head gasket leak, and have complete
extra engine to go with it. Missing motor mount, otherwise complete.
Would make a super interesting street rod project, and came standard
with GM 400 transmission, so easy to retrofit. Original leather full
interior with only minor defects. Good straight body with one respray. The pics are from before the motor was removed.
Worth far more in parts than I am asking for the whole car. Good grills w/flying lady are in the $2,500 range alone.... If you own and drive a Shadow, this is perfect to have for extras. $5,000 OBO Must Sell May take part trade, but need at least half in cash. **Sold AS IS and on bill of sale only. If I can find the title, you can have it as well....I have paperwork from a dealer to me to show the car is clear. The actual title (if I can find it, is clear, not salvage, etc.) Located in Pueblo, and I can deliver it in state, or anywhere north of here for gas money. (I am going to Edmonton Alberta to pick up another car, so I can go as far north as that. |

Rolls-Royce Ghost getting a nip and tuck
Fri, 26 Apr 2013While there isn't too much competition in the "vehicles priced more than houses" market, automakers still have to keep their products fresh, and it looks like the Rolls-Royce Ghost could be getting a slight facelift for 2014. Like the rest of the Ghost, these spy shots show that Rolls-Royce even makes exquisite body camouflage as it takes a close look to really see that any material has been added to the face.
From what we can tell, though, it looks like the Ghost might be getting a nip/tuck to the front end. This will bring its appearance closer to what we saw on the Rolls-Royce Wraith - the coupe version of the Ghost that debuted back in March at the Geneva show - reshaped headlights that feature LED running lights and also what appear to be LED turn signals. More minor changes to the Ghost include restyled door mirrors that might get some aero tweaks, as well as a smooth rear fascia devoid of visible exhaust outlets.
What we don't know is whether the Ghost will also be getting the more powerful version of the V12 found in the Wraith that produces 624 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, versus the current Ghost's 563 hp and 575 lb-ft.
Rolls-Royce starts a turf war in the Garden of Wraith
Fri, 03 Oct 2014The Rolls-Royce Wraith would not be our first choice for hooning. Sure, it's god 624 horsepower channeled to the rear wheels, but it's an automatic, it costs the better part of $300,000 and it's laden with more leather, wood and carpeting than Harrod's. Leave it to Tax the Rich to toss it around then.
For those unfamiliar, the YouTube channel sporadically features videos of some of the most powerful and expensive pieces of automotive machinery being put up to no good. They've done the Ferrari 288 GTO, F50 (two of 'em, in fact) and Enzo and even the Jaguar XJ220 - twice - but now they've turned their attention to the most powerful Rolls ever, tossing it around the grounds of an old-world mansion estate like it was a Subie.
Neglected Rolls-Royce Phantom may be the saddest of all time
Fri, 30 May 2014Rolls-Royce prides itself on exemplifying the pinnacle of automotive elegance. The brand is synonymous with quality and luxury. However, in the end even a Rolls is still just a car, and if you don't keep it up, it's bound to fail. That deterioration can be seriously fun to watch, though.
This 2005 Rolls-Royce Phantom might now be one of the worst cars on the planet and only has a little over 95,000 miles on it. The video claims that the original owner in New Jersey didn't make payments on the car for three years but rented the sedan out to people and used it for a livery service. Now, it's repossessed and would probably cost more to fix than it's worth.
This Phantom has had a hard life. We don't want to spoil too many of the broken pieces because they pile up to become increasingly absurd. However, the pièce de résistance must to be the broken Spider-Man umbrella in the door.
