1980 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Ii * One Owner * Immaculate Original Condition on 2040-cars

1980 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II -One owner. -Completely unrestored and in 100% original factory condition. -Meticulously maintained by the original owner since new. -106,xxx miles. -Overall immaculate for its age. -Original everything (mechanicals, paint, interior, chrome, glass, lighting, electronics, etc), all in pristine condition functionally and cosmetically. -Garaged since new. -Never modified or abused. -100% accident free with a clean and clear history and title. -Only serviced using original Rolls Royce parts since new. Mechanics: -Starts, runs, and drives great with no problems. Starts on the first turn of the key, idles smoothly, and accelerates with full power and proper compression in all cylinders. As per all 30+ year old European cars, there is a normal "warm up" period required on cold starts only. Meaning, if not used regularly, upon starting the car for the first time it will need a few minutes at idle for all of the fluids and mechanical components to get up to normal operating temperature. This is only on cold start. -The transmission shifts smoothly and effortlessly through all of its gears. Absolutely no slipping, delays, or problems of any kind. The gear selector is on the steering column and has a very effortless, yet precise feel when changing throughout gears. -The suspension and steering have a very confident feel that is both firm and precise, yet also very soft and comfortable. Words cannot describe how great this particular example rides. I welcome and encourage any potential buyers to see the car in person and experience it for themselves. -The brakes do work well and leave me with full confidence in their stopping power, however there is a warning light on the dash, one of the two brake pressure warning lights. Only the "2 Brake Pressure" warning is lit, the "1 Brake Pressure" warning is NOT lit. Fortunately, it does go off at times -- usually after driving the car for about 10-15+ minutes. I have not had the time to have this checked, however I'd like to disclose it to the new owner. -No leakage of any fluids anywhere on this vehicle. -A/C blows ice cold on the hottest of days. Heater works flawlessly as well. -Wheels and tires are all in great shape as well. -This beauty drives like it's on clouds, with extreme effortlessness, "the car drives you". It is extremely solid and feels like the brilliantly crafted luxury car that it is. Cosmetics: -Beautiful two tone exterior finished in the sought after Silver Sand over Chestnut Brown with an equally beautiful Tan leather interior with Banana piping. Both interior and exterior are in amazing unrestored original condition. The color combinations are absolutely beautiful. -Paint is in excellent shape all around. Overall a solid 9/10. Deep and glossy, it still bares its original luster in all of its glory. Extremely minor bubbling under the paint, a little bigger than the tip of a ball point pen, is starting to pop up in a very small and unnoticeable section on the passenger side where the rear wheel well meets the lower rocker. There is no rust showing, it is just bubbling under the paint, but the paint itself over the bubbling is not cracked or chipped at all. It is barely noticeable, though I'd like to disclose it to the new owner. -All rubber and weatherstripping is original and has held up great throughout the years. Virtually crack free, it is still fresh looking, and not dried-out as commonly found on cars of this vintage -No rust around the front and rear windshields, which is another commonly found problem on cars of this vintage. -The entire structure which makes up the car is extremely solid and completely rust free. The floors, wheel wells, and rockers are all extremely solid as well with no rust. -It is continually evident that this car was meticulously cared for and constantly garaged. -The interior is in immaculate condition all around. Overall a solid 9.5/10. The carpets, door panels, and headliner are all in great shape with no stains, rips, tares, or defects or any kind. All of the wood is in magnificent condition with absolutely no cracking, splitting, or chipping of the veneer. The wood's color and condition beautifully compliment the car and it's color combinations. It all comes together oozing old world English craftsmanship. The headliner looks like new, with not even the slightest of sagging anywhere. The leather is all in amazing shape and looks like new. There is some extremely minimal wear on the driver's seat, but absolutely no rips, tares, holes, or defects of any kind anywhere. -All chrome is original and exceptional with no pitting, cracking, or oxidation anywhere. -All glass and lighting is also original and in excellent shape. -The hood, trunk, and all four doors open and close with precise craftsmanship similar to that of a safe. Disclaimer: Despite being a meticulously maintained, one owner example of this English built luxury sedan, it is a used 1980 model year Rolls Royce with 106,xxx miles. For its age, the car is immaculate, but one cannot expect a brand new car. It is not without very minor flaws and blemishes, which are inevitable and should be expected on a vehicle that is 34+ years old. Regular care and maintenance is required to keep this car in perfect working order. Car is sold as-is, where-is. No warranty is express or implied. I encourage all interested parties to come feel, see, and hear this beautiful machine in person. Feel free to email with any questions or concerns. Good luck bidding! I have many more photos that I can email any interested parties. I also have many detailed videos of the car driving from different points of view. |

2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Wafting In The Fastest And Most Powerful Vehicle RR Has Ever Made
It is said that Rolls-Royce co-founder Sir Henry Royce once proclaimed: "Take the best that exists and make it better: When it does not exist, design it." The second part of that quote is most curious, as the century-old automaker recently introduced an all-new Ghost-based coupe with no apparent peers - a two-door boasting a 624-horsepower, twin-turbocharged V12 with rear-wheel drive and sleek fastback styling.
Yet despite its specifications, it was never planned to be a sports coupe. Rather, the British automaker tells us that it was thoroughly engineered to be, "a car where the sense of arrival and joy of the journey are as important as the canvas upon which it is drawn." Whatever that means.
Third Rolls-Royce Wraith teaser looks inward
Wed, 20 Feb 2013After shadowy images of the 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith in profile and of the car's rump, the slow striptease of this hyper-luxury coupe finally starts to show us what the inside of the car will look like. We'll get our up-close look at the 2014 Wraith at the Geneva Motor Show on March 5th, but to tide us over until then, Rolls-Royce has provided a pair of images showing just some of the details that will be present inside.
Promising the interior of an "ultra-luxury yacht," the Wraith will get plenty of soft leather and real wood paneling, and as we suspected, this car will share a lot of interior bits with its sedan counterpart, the Rolls-Royce Ghost. We can somewhat see this from the second image provided showing the placement of the clock and the air vents that look almost identical to what can be seen currently on the Ghost. On the Wraith, though, the clock's hands feature "Blood Orange" tips, which not only contrast the high-gloss, piano black finish of this instrument panel but also is designed to pay homage to the aviation side of Rolls-Royce.
Upcoming Rolls-Royce Ghost wears evolutionary design in spy photos
Thu, Jan 24 2019The wow factor of a Rolls-Royce does not come from wild, outlandish design. Its cars and SUV are stately, mature, handsome and do not change looks with a shift of the wind like many vehicles in the auto industry. Those who know model cycles know that Rolls-Royce follows a slightly longer timeline than most, and for the current Ghost, its time is nearly up. These spy shots give us an early glimpse of what the updated model will look like. Even with a ton of camo on the car, the photos confirm what we already know about Rolls-Royce: It's a company that does not stray from what its designers deem to be a classic look. The new Phantom looks like the old Phantom, the Wraith looks like the Ghost, and the Cullinan looks like the Phantom. And thus, the new Ghost is pretty much going to look like the current Ghost, just with a few modernizations that will help the model age as well as Pierce Brosnan. What the spy shots show is evolutionary. It retains its traditional three-box sedan design, if slightly smoothed over. It retains the long hood with the blunt snout and vertical bar grille, it has a high belt line that extends the length of the car, the same coach door handles, and even the exact same wheels (though that is typical of a test car). The changes we notice are minor. The car will likely have updated front and rear lighting, the side mirrors appear to have slightly more aerodynamic designs with cameras embedded, and the small third window appears to have a slight change in shape. Following in the footsteps of the Phantom, the new Ghost will likely ride on Rolls-Royce's new Architecture of Luxury platform for an improved ride and drive. We expect the Ghost will take on the Phantom's new 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 powertrain, and it's possible it could also gain four-wheel steering technology. There are rumors about Rolls-Royce producing an EV in the future, but there's no indication which vehicle it would be, or if that's real at all. Check back in the future, as we'll update details on the upcoming Ghost as we see more photos and learn more information. Related Video:
