2013 Ram 2500 4x4 6.7 Cummins Turbo Diesel Like Dodge Crew Cab Tradesman 35's on 2040-cars
Holden, Louisiana, United States
Selling for a friend: Up for sale is my 2013 ram 2500 4x4 tradesman diesel truck with only 4600 miles. Equipped with the most factory horsepower and torque chrysler has made with the cummins in a 2500 series truck. With a frame rated at 50,000 pounds and 800 ft lbs of torque at 1500 rpm, this truck will pull with the best of them. This isnt your grandpa's f-250, this truck was built to work hard and last a lifetime. It is equipped with an optional highway gear of 3.42 to optimize fuel mileage. The truck does have an exhaust brake sustem and trailer brake control mounted on the dash. the back up camera will assist in backing. I have leveled the front with a 2.5 inch kit from pro ryde. This allowed new 35 inch mud terrains to turn freely without any rubbing. I also added some mean looking black aluminum wheels to replace the factory steelies. The truck has never been in 4 wheel drive so the new owner can have the honors of seeing how this beast will pull in 4 low. The exterior is in excellent shape with no dents or scratches. I did haul several things in the bed so there are scratches which im sure will be covered with a bedliner. Finances have forced me to sale so my loss is your gain. I have posted a picture of the window sticker so bidders can view all factory options. This truck has a clear title. 1 owner, no accidents. Upon payment the title will be received within a few weeks, as it will be sent from the dealership after payoff. There is NO RESERVE on this truck so if you want it bid to win! Serious bidders only please. Payment due within 7 days. Feel free to ask with any questions. Thanks for looking and good luck! |

Pickup prices rising at 2x industry average
Tue, 11 Jun 2013We've said it before, but bears repeating: Pickup trucks are the financial engines of America's automakers. Good thing, then, that the segment is in rude health - in fact, Automotive News is suggesting that pickup truck sales are arguably healthier than they were pre-recession, even though the segment's volume is still significantly down from where it was before the bottom fell out of the US economy. That's because per-unit profits on full-size trucks are skyrocketing, outpacing the industry's average price increases by more than double since 2005. According to data from Edmunds, the average transaction price of a full-size pickup is now $39,915 - a heady increase over the $31,059 average price in 2005 - a gain of over 8 percent after inflation is factored in.
Just how important are trucks to automakers' bottom lines? Automotive News quotes a Morgan Stanley analyst as saying the Ford F-Series is responsible for 90 percent of the company's 2012 profits, and General Motors isn't far behind, with the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins chipping in about two-thirds of the automaker's earnings.
Automotive News points out that Detroit's automakers now have the money to invest in modernizing their full-size truck offerings, in part because they don't have the same overhead and legacy costs that pushed General Motors and Chrysler into bankruptcy. Certainly, the pickup segment has seen a lot of innovations as of late, including turbocharged V6s, coil-spring rear suspensions and active aero. Those improvements in important areas like fuel economy and ride comfort have given existing pickup buyers new reasons to upgrade. In addition, automakers are piling on the tech and luxury goodies, creating more and more high-content, high-profit models like the Ford F-150 King Ranch, Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn and Chevrolet Silverado High Country (shown).
Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines
Fri, 16 Nov 2012Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.
Ram bringing Rumble Bee Concept to Woodward
Wed, 14 Aug 2013The 2013 Woodward Dream Cruise is taking place this weekend, and will see the arrival of over 1.5 million people and around 40,000 vehicles of seemingly every make in history. It's also a huge event for the manufacturers that call Detroit home, with Chevrolet setting up shop in Birmingham, Ford and its Mustang Alley locating itself in Ferndale and Chrysler hunkering down at 13 Mile in Royal Oak.
Ram will take advantage of the captive audience (if you think we're joking with the use of the term "captive," you've never tried to get off of Woodward during The Cruise) to show a new concept truck. And, judging from these teasers, it's going to be.. the Rumble Bee. In the past, Ram offered a Rumble Bee edition Ram 1500 that was mainly a styling treatment, but they were kinda cool trucks for those that wanted a muscle car but needed the room and utility of a big vehicle.
Details on the new Rumble Bee are scarce, but judging by the images seen here, it will sport bright yellow paint and a pair of large, black, five-spoke wheels wrapped in low-profile tires. The hood sports a set of hoodscoops for a bit more aggression, while the interior gets a reinterpreted dial shifter for the eight-speed automatic. We also see what may be a button to let a bit more rumble emanate from what we'd assume is a large Hemi engine underhood. Take a look at the gallery below to see both teaser images, and check back here for more as soon as we get it.
