2014 Ram 1500 Sherrod Conversion on 2040-cars
Houston, Texas, United States
More infos regarding my car at: leonwent@juno.com .
This is a beautiful Dodge Ram ProMaster 2014 Sherrod conversion 7 passenger wagon/van with LOW mileage and front
wheel drive. This van is one of a kind because we had all the back seats professionally moved forward to allow for
a huge area (40 inches deep by 58 inches wide) behind the back seats. You can travel with as much luggage as you
desire or use the space as you would a pick-up truck or for camping/skiing/fishing/etc. gear/equipment. This
vehicle is in excellent condition! We bought it at Christmas as a new demonstrator with 3,300 miles on it. It has
never been wrecked or flooded. We have enjoyed it, and the only reason we are selling is because we found a van our
family likes better. So this one has no problems, runs beautifully, and is equipped with a Blue-ray DVD player with
pull-down big screen, 2 ear phone sets, separate front and rear sound systems (radio, CD drives), front and rear
air and heat, neon blue running lights on the top inside of van as well as that run through the middle. It has
blackish-grey carpet in wonderful condition, tan leather upholstery, 4 captain's chairs and one electric bench that
moves down into a bed. The windows are limo tint in back with blinds, and there are 4 overhead storage
compartments. It is 7 foot 6 inches tall. Middle captain's chairs are movable in all directions. Cruise control,
power windows and door locks, and 4 key sets. This is an amazing van--especially for a family who likes to travel,
or for an organization that wants to take their clients places in comfort and style.

Cummins builds 2-millionth diesel for Ram
Wed, 12 Dec 2012Ahead of a new Ram Heavy Duty that will debut sometime next year (check out the spy shots below), Chrysler and Cummins are celebrating a milestone in a 24-year partnership that has supplied the Ram pickup with diesel engines.
In its early years, the Cummins straight-six turbo diesel was rated at just 160 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, and its clattering 12 valves could be heard from a mile away. Its most recent configuration still uses a straight-six layout, but displacement grew to 6.7 liters in 2007 allowing the engine to now produce up to 385 hp and a whopping 850 lb-ft of torque. While a rumored smaller Cummins engine for use in the light-duty Ram 1500 never materialized, the work-ready 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel accounts for 80 percent of all Ram HD sales.
Chrysler has not yet announced when and where this two-millionth engine will be on display, but you can read more about the engine and the partnership in the press release below.
2014 Ram Promaster recalled over brake hoses
Sun, 02 Mar 2014It's barely been a year since Chrysler brought the Fiat Ducato over to these United States as the Ram Promaster, but already it's being subjected to its second recall - both of them revolving around essential controls that are critical to the vehicle's operation.
The first came less than a month ago, when the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a recall for nearly 10,000 of the vans due to a sticky accelerator pedal. Now Chrysler has issued a second recall to deal with the brake hose.
This second recall affects some 6,800 units of the ProMaster, half of which Chrysler says are on dealer lots. The automaker is instructing dealers to inspect both the vehicles it has in stock and to bring in customer vehicles to perform the same check, to ensure that the brake hose was properly installed in the first place. If not, the brake hose will be replaced.
GM also sheds parts from its pickups to boost payload ratings
Thu, 31 Jul 2014The row between Ford and Ram over who boasts the best-in-class tow rating for heavy duty pickups has revealed a number of things. Chief among them is a report that Ford removes items like the spare tire, jack, radio and center console from its vehicles in a bid to lower its base curb weight and therefore keep the truck's gross vehicle weight rating down.
For those that need a refresher, GVWR is the vehicle's curb weight plus its maximum payload. A lower GVWR allows Ford to station its F-450 among the so-called Class III pickups, despite the fact that internally, it has the makings of a more brutish Class IV truck.
Ford explains away these deletions, saying a customer could order their vehicle in such a manner. It has also come to light that Ford is not the only automaker to engage in such practices.
