Southern Calfiornia has some great driving roads if you can get out of the city, from the Angeles Crest Highway to Mulholland Drive. Driving in LA itself, on the other hand, is usually more of an ordeal than a pleasure. But Magnus Walker is here to show us we're wrong. In this latest, artfully produced video for eGarage, everyone's favorite outlaw Zuffenhausen enthusiast takes to the streets of Los Angeles in his highly modified 1971 Porsche 911T street racer, carving his favorite route through the city. The drive takes him through plenty of tunnels (so you'll want to turn up your speakers to hear the exhaust note reverberate), around corners aplenty, past the Petersen and even down some freeways – it is LA, after all. But the key here is that he's driving late at night, when the streets are empty and Magnus can do his best homage to C'etait un rendez-vous. Porsche 911 Carrera 4S named Motor Trend Best Driver's Car [w/video]

Motor Trend has named the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S its best driver's car for 2013. The annual
competition for the title included some of the best performance cars that have gone on sale in the past year. The new C4S follows the 2012 Best Driver's Car award winner, a two-wheel-drive Carrera S.
Determining the winner of the coveted title isn't easy. Each vehicle is pushed through Motor Trend's normal battery of instrumented tests. Editors then spend time with each car over a 500-mile tour of mixed conditions before a final batch of testing at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, with pro racer Randy Pobst at the wheel.

Audi and Porsche squabble over future product platforms

In the buildup to the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans, Audi delivered an amusing video that worked on the playful rivalry between the German brand and its favorite frenemy, Porsche. We called it sibling rivalry, and at the time, it may have been just that. But just like sibling rivalries, it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and that's just what seems to be about to happen in the formerly peaceful Volkswagen Group family.
A new report from Automobile calls out the growing animosity between Porsche, who is backed up by Bentley, and Audi, whose primary ally is Lamborghini. No blows have actually been thrown, although there is a fair amount of "he said, she said" going on.
As Porsche tells it, for example, the new global fullsize SUV architecture being developed by Audi isn't up to snuff, citing size and structure issues, as well as an inability to accommodate a wide variety of engines.
