For sale is a very rare, extreme performance SUV. This is your opportunity to own the fastest SUV in the world! Only 5 of these vehicles were driven in the US in 2010. For die-hard Porsche fans, the legendary Techart tuning program needs no explanation. For all others, it is the top authorized tuner for the Porsche marque. If you are not familiar with the Techart program, I highly suggest visiting here for more information.

At an added cost of over $100,000 to the vehicle's original price, the full Techart tuning options were applied to this Cayenne Turbo. Rest assured that these upgrades were not installed by some random garage mechanics. An official Techart team was flown in from Germany to Los Angeles where they completed the install. Some of the highlights include: one-of-a-kind LED lighting system, full aerodynamic Techart bodykit, Techart air suspension module, T2 engine upgrade w/ massive Turbo Chargers and 150 hp increase, and Techart Formula II 23" wheels.

This California vehicle has super low miles and has never seen snow or been off-road. If you are looking for an SUV, but also love the experience of a top performance vehicle, you do not have to compromise anymore. When you mash the pedal on this beast, the AWD launches you forward with no clock-killing wheel spin, and it does not let up until you've reached the top speed of 202mph!

Shipping will be buyer's responsibility, but I will help where I can. Please only bid if you intend to purchase this amazing vehicle. Bid with confidence, as I have a 100% feedback score and highly value trustworthy eBayers just as you do.

Jay Leno welcomes Emory's outlaw Porsche 356s

Tue, Aug 4 2015

Classic cars can have a lot of character, but purposely passing up on some of the enormous advancements made to the automobile over the decades since those classics were made can be a difficult proposition. That's where restomodders like Emory Motorsports come in. Emory specializes in customizing Porsche 356s, modifying them to their clients' specifications and giving them an added dose of performance and refinement, all without losing that timeless appeal. The LA-based company is headed up today by third-generation Southern Californian gearhead Rod Emory. After seeing some examples of his work out on the road, Jay Leno invited Rod by the garage along with a pair of his company's custom creations. Both are based on 356 coupes from the late 1950s, but take pretty different approaches in their comprehensive restoration and extensive modification. Since classic Zuffenhausen enthusiasts are notorious for their rigid adherence to originality, Emory's modified 356s are deemed to be "outlaws" by many on the vintage Porsche scene. But they've also gained quite a following, similar to what Singer has done with 911s. Whether you're more inclined to cling to authenticity along with the purists or embrace the novelty espoused by the restomodders, after scoping out these irresistible specimens, you'll have to admit that Emory does some pretty compelling work. Watch the 25-minute video clip above to see what we mean, and check out Petrolicious' profile of the same company's work from last year for another look.

Some kind of Porsche 911 spied in Germany

Wed, May 20 2015

Seeing a Porsche undergoing testing in Germany – even at the Nurburgring – is hardly a rare sight. But this one has us scratching our heads. Though almost entirely devoid of any sort of camouflage, this particular 911 clearly has something going on. It's got LED daytime running lights (similar in appearance to those on the Cayman GT4) integrated into the front end, extra air vents around back, and a pair of exhaust tips poking out the middle of the rear bumper. In the end, we could be looking at the upcoming facelift scheduled for the 911 that will see it shift to forced induction across the entire range (save for the GT3 and GT3 RS) – or this could be another version of the existing model. Porsche has been known to churn out a steady stream of those, after all. One way or another, though, it looks like we'll be finding out sooner than later – judging from how ready this particular Elfen looks to hit the show stand and showroom. Meet the man that discovered and restored the oldest existing Porsche

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

Luciano Rupolo is an absolutely fascinating gentleman. He was born in France but spent nearly his entire life in Italy as an auto mechanic running his own shop. His grandfather and father instilled a love of sports cars in him that he carried on by historic racing in Italy for decades. He saw his life-long automotive passion repaid when he found and restored the car that might have been the first Porsche registered for the road.
You can spot in his garage a split-window Corvette, Ferrari 250 GTE and other exotics, but Rupolo's most interesting automotive story concerns his Iso Grifo Competizione (pictured above). The sports coupe was found in the Canary Islands as little more than a shell, but Rupolo got help from a prestigious source for its restoration. The result is a motoring masterpiece.
Rupolo is a fantastic storyteller with a captivating, tale to tell. Settle in, scroll down and watch the bittersweet documentary about his life with one of the first Porsches.
