2004 Porsche Cayenne S Sport Utility 4-door 4.5l on 2040-cars
Hartland, Wisconsin, United States
My truck of almost 3 years.. Love it.. Need to get in something newer.. Drive a ton for work. These miles are ALL highway miles since I live in the sticks of Milwaukee and I travel the state and beyond as an equipment appraiser.
The weak spot of the motor are the coolant return tubes.. When I purchased the truck in Jan. 2011 that was the first thing I fixed. The Porsche Alloy Tube set are in place!! Over the years I have replaced 2 sets of Cam Sensors, Evap. Cannister, and vacuum tubes. Recently (last few months): New HID Bulbs, Spark Plugs, Tires (Conti LX20's), Brakes/Pads (Cryo-Stop) My truck here ALSO has a set of dedicated SNOW TIRES.. Porsche Alloys (same style as mounted) with Blizzaks DM-V1 new as of last December.. So only driven for 3 months. Bose has the Sub. Nav. (never learned how to use it.. Have a Garmin..) Heated Wheel and front/rear seats. Full set of Weather Guard Mats and rear cargo as well.. The nice ones that have a lip around the outside. E-mail with questions.. I am selling this truck at a live Auction in Wisconsin.. Please go to GerlachAuctions.com and look for the Winona Pattern Auction.. Register on ProxiBid to bid from your computer.. I am selling this with a reasonable minimum.. What is reasonable?? Look around and see what others are selling for and that will give a good indication.. OR... BID THE BUY IT NOW as IO believe that to be a fair price as well.. Since these trucks ARE THE BEST TRUCKS ON THE ROAD... PERIOD ! |

Porsche 911 RSR in bizarre, terrifying rally crash
Sun, 22 Sep 2013As far as rally crashes go, this one is pretty terrifying. At this month's Hellendoorn Rally, Harry Kleinjan failed to negotiate a turn and drove his Porsche 911 RSR straight into a Jersey barrier, flipping the car into the river.
While it's unclear what caused the accident, German Car Scene notes, "We can see his brakes locking up ahead of the impact, which also ripped both driver's side wheels off, so it may be a case of ill-judged late braking, locking brakes or a jammed throttle." Us? We're betting it might have been bad pace notes. Fortunately for Harry and his co-driver, all indications are that no one was hurt. Check out the videos below to see the spectacular crash for yourself.
40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
Audi RS7 vs. Porsche Panamera Turbo, which would you pick? [w/poll]
Wed, 08 Jan 2014We live in a blessed time - a time when you can buy not just one, but two (or three, or four) monstrously powerful, blazingly fast four-doors that can't only keep up with modern supercars, but in some instances, will outperform them as well. Two of the finest are the Audi RS7 and the refreshed Porsche Panamera Turbo, and Motor Trend has been messing around with the both of them in this comparison video.
MT provides a comprehensive and entertaining look at the RS7 and the turbocharged Panamera as they go through a battery of tests, before getting tossed about on both the road and the track. Starring flip-flop aficionado Jonny Lieberman, it's a must-watch, whether you're in the market for one of the two super sedans or merely want to see the former Autoblog editor again.
After having a look at the video, register a vote for the car you'd park in your driveway in our poll. Hop below for the full video from the team at Motor Trend.
