One owner Cayenne Turbo that has been babied it's entire life and has extremely low mileage.  This is not your average Cayenne as it is loaded to the gills and had a MSRP of $123,945 because the car enthusiast owner checked almost every box on the order form.  The owner leased this car for business reasons when it was new and then bought the lease out last September.  This Cayenne has to be the newest used car we have ever seen.  The Black Metallic paint is absolutely flawless with not a ding, dent, or scratch anywhere.  The Black leather interior is equally as nice and not only looks new but smells new as no one has ever smoked in it.  The 21" tires are in good shape and mounted on Sport Edition factory wheels that are powder coated black to match.  (Second set of tires and wheels mounted on Bridgestone Blizzak tires available)  Naturally the Cayenne has a Certified Clean Carfax with no accident history.  The Porsche went in service September 2010 and is covered under warranty until September 2014 or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.  Have 2 keyless transmitters, valet key, and all books and manuals.  Would be happy to arrange to have the Cayenne delivered to your front door or pick you up at the Kansas City airport so you can drive your new Porsche home as you let the Navigation guide you, listening to your Satellite radio on the Burmester Sound System, talking on your Bluetooth phone while you enjoy this great handling vehicle.  It just can't get any better than that!  This Porsche maybe purchased anytime prior to the end of the listing by Calling RON 913-707-8111 for details.

Porsche names new motorsport chief

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

Though it may have expanded into crossovers and sedans, Porsche is still a company with racing at its heart. You might even argue that Cayenne and Panamera sales only serve to fund the company's motorsports activities. Competition-spec 911 coupes still make up a large portion of the grid in any GT racing series, and those activities are presided over by the Porsche GT division (separate from its LMP1 program), which has just announced a changing of the guard.
Porsche's GT unit - which is responsible both for racing models like the 911 RSR and road-going models like the 911 GT3 - has until now been steered by Hartmut Kristen (pictured above, left) in his capacity as Vice President of Motorsport at Porsche AG. During his ten-year tenure, Kristen gave birth to the RS Spyder that competed in the American Le Mans Series and the pioneering 911 GT3 R Hybrid. He also fostered what Porsche characterizes as "arguably the most comprehensive youth development program in motor racing" and saw the marque return to Le Mans last year with a dominant 1-2 class victory.
Kristen, now 59 years old, is leaving the German automaker, but will remain an advisor to the company's R&D department. Taking over as VP of Motorsport will be Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, who has until now been head of the 918 Spyder project (a responsibility he will continue). Walliser (pictured above, right) was previously Porsche's general manager for motorsport strategies and will now be responsible for Porsche's GT projects on and off the track, while Fritz Enzinger continues at the helm of the LMP1 program in pursuit of better results next year than the 919 Hybrid achieved at Le Mans last month.

24 Hours of Le Mans an on-and-off love affair

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

There was little usual about this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans - intermittent rain in the weeks before the race meant cars didn't get on track as much as they wanted, and intermittent rain during the race meant cars went off track a lot more than they wanted. The race started with a wet track, and one of the records broken because of the random downpours was the number of times the safety car led the field - 11 times this year - although the record of two hours and 53 minutes of lapping behind the safety car, set in 2011, was not eclipsed.
None of that served to dampen the action. With little more than an hour left in the race there were cars still only a few seconds apart fighting for position, leads still changing because of pit stops and everyone drafting anyone they could.
Things didn't go the usual way up front, either - well, not exactly...

Porsche recalling 24,500 Panameras for a potential HVAC coolant pump issue

Tue, Feb 14 2023

A possible coolant pump problem for the HVAC system is causing Porsche to recall 24,467 units of the Panamera from the 2017 to 2020 model years. Bentley's recalling 650 examples of the sibling 2020 Continental GT for the same issue. Porsche was notified of a malfunction in the external heat pump for the Panamera's climate control in December 2022. An automaker investigation found that it's possible for excess humidity or even liquid to get past the pump seals and short out the pump's circuit board and connector. In rare instances, the malfunction could cause a fire. This can happen even when the engine is turned off because the cars in question are equipped with a residual heat function that keeps warming the cabin after shutdown. Panameras built after July 26, 2021 were fitted with a different pump. The Stuttgart carmaker's field analysis showed "a very small number of instances of thermal damage possibly attributable to this issue." Bentley changed the part in July 2019 to a model with a pressure compensation seal. Porsche said it will begin notifying owners on March 27. It also said it will reimburse any Panamera owners who have paid to have the part fixed previous to this recall. The fix is a trip to the dealer for a new pump with better sealing, sourced from a new supplier. Bentley will begin notifying owners on the same day. In Bentley's case, though, the automaker says "A hardware change will be required but the final solution is currently under investigation and cannot be confirmed at this time." Since the automaker moved to a new pump that isn't part of the recall population, we aren't sure why a resolution remains under investigation. Porsche owners can contact Porsche customer service at 800-767-7243 and refer to internal recall number APA1. Bentley owners can call 800-777-6923 and refer to RE23/02 (RC67). Anyone in that group can go straight to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration at 888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or nhtsa.gov, citing campaign number 23V033 for the Panamera or 23V034 for the Bentley.
