Porsche Boxster Only 33,500 Miles!!! Brand New Top With Glass Window!!! on 2040-cars
Levittown, Pennsylvania, United States
Up for sale is my 1999 Porsche Boxster. Finished in beautiful Ocean Blue Metallic with Graphite Gray leather. This car is in absolutely excellent condition inside and out with only 33,500 miles!!! Pampered, driven only on nice spring and summer days. Always garage kept no dents, dings or noticeable scratches. You really need to see this car to appreciate it's condition. I brought this car from the original owner in Florida two years ago. Since then I have made many upgrades like a brand new GAHH top with glass window. I had the LN Engineering IMS Bearing Upgrade Retrofit Kit installed. While that upgrade was performed the Rear Main Seal, New Water Pump, New Battery, New Air/Oil Separator, Clutch and Flywheel were also replaced. When I purchased the car it came with 17" OEM wheel. Last summer I purchased a set of 18" OEM Turbo Twist wheels that are on the car now. I also put new tires on so there is just over 5,000 miles on the tires. I will include the 17" wheels with very good tires with the car. Extremely clean interior with New Leather Upholstery installed last summer. Other nice upgrades include Full Front End 3M Paint Protection and Alpine CDA-9885 radio with Alpine speakers. The car needs nothing all maintenance is up to date. Oil was just changed ready to enjoy this summer! This is a two owner car with all records, books and 2 keys. The original owner did retitle the car twice under his different businesses. Any questions please ask my # is (201)780-0293. More photos available upon request. Please serious inquiries only!! I will consider any reasonable offers... Hate to see her go, but I have no room. Thank You.

Porsche 911 Targa Turbo for Geneva debunked, 919 Hybrid and 911 RSR racers coming instead
Fri, 28 Feb 2014Porsche has proven adept at making sure there is a version of its venerable 911 for practically any wealthy driver's desires. If you just want a great all-rounder then buy a standard 911; open-air driving, then the Cabriolet is for you, and if you need a compromise between them, there is even the new 911 Targa.
Gossip earlier this week surfaced on various websites that at next week's Geneva Motor Show, Porsche had designs on introducing an even higher-performance Targa variant, a Targa Turbo. The rumored mashup would combine the wide body from the 911 Turbo with the super-complicated power roof from the Targa (see right). Assuming no changes in power, that would mean 520 horsepower or even 560 hp in a Targa Turbo S model. Unfortunately, we're hearing that this tasty bit of scuttlebutt is incorrect. Autoblog asked Nick Twork, Porsche North America Product Communications Manager, about the rumor, and his response couldn't have been clearer: "Totally false."
Twork did elaborate that company will be "debuting the Porsche 919 Hybrid, our new LMP1 race car" at the Swiss show, and Stuttgart has also announced this morning that will show its 911 RSR racecar, too - either of which we reckon is a lot more exciting than another Targa variant.
Porsche 960 could come with quad-turbo flat-eight engine
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Getting a bead on the target that is the so-called Porsche 960 is not easy, as the target keeps moving. First labeled the 960, then the 961, and now back to being called the 960, it is Porsche's take on a supercar specifically aimed at Ferrari - the latest report in Automobile says that Porsche's internal moniker for it is "FeFi," which stands for "Ferrari Fighter." Because it is expected to cost as much as the top-tier V12 Ferrari, Porsche wants the engine solution to justify the price tag. That means, according to author Georg Kacher, a 3.9-liter, quad-turbo flat-eight engine with 650 horsepower.
Last summer, the engine was mooted to be a twin-turbo flat six. A few months later, the rumor was that it would use the 4.6-liter V8 from the 918 and have about 570 horsepower. This new mid-engine configuration would be quite the leap, giving the 960 more power than the 918 Spyder (pictured) and 911 GT2 RS, and utilize other tech features like four adjustable camshafts and "a complex multistage intake manifold." In this scenario, power would be run through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.
Build materials are still slated to be a hodgepodge of materials including aluminum, steel, carbon fiber, titanium and magnesium. The boosted flat-eight, all-wheel drive and a 3,000-pound weight could get the 960 from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds. Since it is looking squarely at Ferrari, the idea that the 960 will be a "four-door coupe" can probably be put to rest. For now.
Porsche Macan to debut at LA Auto Show
Wed, 29 May 2013Auto Express reports Porsche will unveil the upcoming Macan SUV at this year's LA Auto Show. Citing an unnamed "insider," AE says that the five-door will bow with engines, suspension and interior architecture that will help differentiate it from its Audi Q5 chassis mate. Big shocker there. We've been hearing the same line since we first caught word of the Macan back when it was still rolling around under the Cajun name. The report does shed some light on the model's pricing, however. That same insider says the Porsche Macan will carry a price tag of 36,000 pounds.
What does that mean for American buyers? Do some quick math based on current conversion rates, and average UK and US prices, and we come up with a sticker of roughly $42,000 here in the land of the free. That fits in line with the rest of the company's stable, with the larger Cayenne starting at $49,600.
Still, we'll wait for more concrete word before jumping behind the AE report wholeheartedly. The 2013 LA Auto Show gets going in late November.
