1999 PORSCHE BOXSTER

54,950 ORIGINAL MILES

ALWAYS GARAGED

LET ME START BY SAYING THIS CAR IS IN IMMACULATE CONDITION.  CAR IS A LOCAL CALIFORNIA CAR.  ALWAYS GARAGED KEPT.  NEVER BEEN IN ANY KIND OF ACCIDENT AND HAS ALL ORIGINAL PAINT.  NEVER HAS HAD ANY PAINT ISSUES OF ANY KIND

*INTERIOR
THE CAR IS NEAR FLAWLESS ON THE INSIDE.  LEATHER IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION.  CARPET, DOOR PANELS, DASH, GAUGES AND EVERYTHING IN THE CAR IS EXCELLENT.  THERE ARE NO BLEMISHES TO SPEAK OF ON THE INTERIOR.  ITS A 9 OUT OF 10.

*EXTERIOR
THE CAR IS AMAZING ON THE EXTERIOR AS WELL.  ORIGINAL, BEAUTIFUL BERGUNDY PAINT SHINES LIKE NEW, YOU WOULD NEVER BELIEVE THAT IT IS A 14 YEAR OLD CAR.  I REALLY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NEGATIVE TO SPEAK OF ON THE EXTERIOR AS WELL.  ORIGINAL TOP AND WINDOW IN UNBELIEVABLE CONDITION! ORIGINAL WINDOW CLEAR AND SUPPLE STILL! HEADLIGHTS STILL LOOK NEW WITH ZERO FADING OR HAZING.  THE CONTINENTAL/CONTI TIRES ARE NEAR NEW, AND THEY ARE ON VERY RARE AND EXPENSIVE, GENUINE PORSCHE  CARRERA S  WHEELS  (NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON A BOXSTER AND THESE ARE THE $6k CARRERA S WHEELS!) THE CARS EXTERIOR IS A 8 OUT OF 10

*MECHANICALLY
THE CAR NEEDS NOTHING.  THE CAR HAS BEEN SERVICED WHEN REQUIRED. MECHANICALLY THE CAR IS PERFECT AND NEEDS NOTHING.  (JUST HAD THE SERPENTINE BELT REPLACED AT 48k MILES, AND I WILL INCLUDE AN ORIGINAL PORSCHE SPARE, PICTURE INCLUDED ABOVE).

I KNOW SOMETIMES ITS TOUGH TO BUY SOMETHING WITHOUT SEEING IT.  I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT THIS CAR IS EVERYTHING THAT I SAY IT IS.   I HAVE BEEN AROUND ALOT OF CARS AND THIS BY FAR IS THE NICEST CAR IVE EVER SEEN FROM 1999.  IT  SERIOUSLEY COULD PASS FOR A 2011 OR 2012.  I HAVE GREAT FEEDBACK AND HAVE SOLD MORE THAN 5 OTHER CARS ON EBAY.  I AM ALWAYS UPFRONT AND ACCURATE ON MY DESCRIPTIONS.  BE CONFIDENT TO KNOW YOU COULD BUY THIS CAR AND HAVE IT SHIPPED TO YOUR DOOR STEP AND KNOW THAT YOUR GETTING WHAT I SAY YOU ARE.

I AM THE 3RD OWNER OF THIS CAR AND HAVE ENJOYED IT FOR OVER A YEAR. IT HAS ONLY BEEN DRIVEN ON THE WEEKENDS, AND I HAVE ONLY PUT ABOUT 5000 MILES ON IT IN THE PAST YEAR. THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD ONLY DRIVEN THE CAR FOR 6000 MILES IN THE 7 YEARS SHE OWNED IT! CAR HAS A CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE.

WINNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING THE CAR, BUT I CAN GIVE SUGGESTIONS ON SHIPPING, AS I HAVE SHIPPED CARS THAT I HAVE PERSONALLY BOUGHT ON EBAY. (SHIPPING PRICE CAN RANGE FROM $500-1500 DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU LIVE).

WINNER AGREES TO PAY A NON-REFUNDABLE $500 DEPOSIT IMMEDATELY AFTER AUCTION ENDS, AND REMAINING AMOUNT OWED WILL HAVE TO BE BANK WIRE TRANSFERRED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END REGARDLESS OF WHEN YOUR SHIPPER PICKS UP THE CAR.

2017 Porsche 911 gains AWD traction for its turbos [w/video]

Wed, Oct 7 2015

The new 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 (in all its numerous iterations) joins its downsized, turbocharged, rear-drive brethren, but adds the benefit of an electro-hydraulically controlled all-wheel-drive system. These latest additions to the 911 family feature all updates applied to the new Carrera, both cosmetic and functional. The rear-end bodywork is also widened by 1.7 inches, with a light strip running across the tail. There are two engine choices, but either way you're getting a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six. The base version produces 370 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque, while the S model cranks up to 420 hp and 368 lb-ft. Then you'll need to choose your transmission: seven-speed manual or dual-clutch. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) suspension comes standard, but the Sport Chrono package (which adds a 918-inspired drive mode selector switch on the steering wheel) is an option. Four-wheel steering is available on 4S models as well. And of course you'll need to choose between body-styles. There are three in all: coupe, convertible, or Targa – each available in either engine tune. Those are largely the same choices you'd have to have made for the previous models, but now they're faster and more powerful, while delivering up to 12-percent higher efficiency. Zero-to-60 times are down 0.3 seconds over the preceding, naturally aspirated models: the Carrera 4 is quoted at 3.9 seconds, and the 4S at just 3.6. Convertible and Targa models add 0.2 seconds to those times, with top speeds ranging from 178 to 189 miles per hour. Pricing for the US starts at $97,295 (with delivery) for the new 911 Carrera 4, and stretches all the way up to $123,595 for the Targa 4S. Don't feel the need to rush your decision though, as the all-wheel-drive 911s won't start hitting dealers Stateside until April of next year. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. THE PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 4 AND 911 TARGA 4 MODELS WITH NEW TURBOCHARGED ENGINES AND ENHANCED ALL-WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEMS ATLANTA, Oct. 6, 2015 -- With the new 2017 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Targa 4 models, the traction advantage courtesy of an enhanced all-wheel drive system is paired with innovative turbocharged engines that are more powerful and consume less fuel than their predecessors.

Cars selling highest above MSRP and lowest below MSRP

Wed, Feb 14 2024

Automakers have returned to offering incentives and promoting new vehicles after a few years of tight inventory and elevated prices. Despite that, prices are still higher than they should be, as a new iSeeCars study found that the average new car is priced above MSRP, though they’re slightly less painful than they were a year ago. iSeeCars found that the average new car price has been marked up to 7.2 percent above MSRP, down from 8.9 percent a year ago. Interestingly, the five most overpriced cars came from two premium brands, while four of the five priced the lowest below MSRP were EVs. New cars selling highest above MSRP Mini Hardtop: 25.5% above MSRP Porsche Taycan Sedan: 23.1% Porsche Cayenne: 21.9% Porsche Macan: 21.3% Porsche Taycan Wagon: 20.9% Cadillac CT5-V: 20% Porsche 718 Boxster: 19.9% Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid: 19.4% BMW X3 M: 19.4% Cadillac CT4-V: 19.3% Porsche, Mini, and Genesis were the three most overpriced brands overall, with Buick, Acura, and Infiniti landing as the lowest-priced brands. Electric vehicles dominated the list of the 10 most-discounted vehicles: New cars selling lowest below MSRP Hyundai Kona Electric: -4.6% VW ID.4: -3.6% Ford F-150 Hybrid: -3.3% Kia EV6: -2.5% Hyundai Ioniq 6: -2.4% Nissan Maxima: -2.2% Chrysler Pacifica PHEV: -2% Nissan Ariya: -1.9% Hyundai Ioniq 5: -1.9% VW Arteon: -1.8% Those numbers align with what we saw in the market last year, as EV sales grew, but far slower than many had hoped. iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Brauer said. (For a sense of that, you can look back at our coverage of most marked-up cars and most discounted cars from 2023.) “The market appears to have reached a saturation point for electric vehicles," Brauer said, "with both prices and sales struggling compared to a year ago. The high cost of full-size trucks and SUVs, along with the cost of fueling them in the face of inflation and reduced consumer spending power, has dampened demand for these notoriously pricey vehicles.”

Watch onboard video of the Porsche 918 Spyder's record 'Ring lap

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

"Pics or it didn't happen!" You could almost hear the Internet shouting this when news started to trickle in about a sub-seven-minute Nürburgring lap by the new Porsche 918 Spyder. Well, after an official press release, which we ran earlier today, we have your "pics." Moving pics, to be more exact. Porsche has released on-board footage of the 6:57 lap.
The video, which runs about eight-and-a-half minutes, and shows the 918 from inside the car on a flying lap of the German track. Perhaps what's remarkable is just how undramatic it all looks. Sure, there's some sawing at the wheel from test driver Marc Lieb (one of three testers, including legendary rally king Walter Röhrl), but he makes wrangling the Martini-liveried 918 look kind of easy.
Take a look down below for the full, on-board video, and then click over and read our initial write-up from earlier this morning and take a glance at the more stylized video that Porsche originally posted.
