This has to be the best and most original unmolested Porsche 968 cabriolet in existence today. It’s a one careful owner gem.

It has only 14,560 miles showing. These vehicle were hand-built and this car has been kept in a climate controlled atmosphere all of its life, only being sparingly used on weekends and holidays by its Commercial Pilot Owner. This is the perfect classic Porsche for the discriminating collector who desires the best in the country.

With a perfect weight distribution (50/50), six speed manual transmission, large bore 3.0 liter engine, this 968 cabriolet is marvelous to drive, and of course it has the legendary Porsche reliability.

Having never seen inclement weather this beautiful red over black leather roadster looks brand new.  You'll be hard pressed to find any physical signs of wear as there has never been a scratch or dent requiring paint work over its 20 year life. The paintwork just received the attention of our detail shop and $700 later (Yes I know, but they are the best) it looks like it should be in a new car showroom.

The interior shows no wear. The A/C blows powerfully cold. There are no chips or scratches in the glass. The rear window plastic and stitching look perfect and it gleams with no imperfections to the finish. The doors, hood and trunk lid align perfectly and close with the Porsche  "thunk". The rims have no scratches and the Tires are 500 miles old. The head light glass, turn signal covers, rear tail light covers and tiny bumperettes (front and rear) are perfect. Every electrical and mechanical component works as it did when it rolled out of the Porsche factory at Zuffenhausen, Germany in 1992.

Hennessey Porsche of Atlanta just serviced the Cambelt and secondary Belt,  (The second change it has had) so there is nothing to worry about mechanically. All fluids, Brake, Coolant, Oil etc have been changed last week.

It even comes with the factory supplied gloves in the engine bay compartment.

Included are 3 keys, original books, tools, air pump and extensive service receipt history. The vehicle obviously has a clean Carfax report and a copy of that will accompany the car.

In the 10 years we have been searching for an unmolested 968 convertible, this is the finest example we have ever seen. If you are a classic Porsche enthusiast looking for that special vehicle whose condition is considered "right out of the wrapper", this is your vehicle.

Only 2300 of these special 968 cabriolets were imported into the US from 1992-5. With most of them well used and with high miles, here is your opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind Porsche treasure.

Personally I would treat it to a set of modern wheels and an MP3 payer, it has not been upgraded to preserve its originality.

Porsche reveals new 911 Turbo Cabriolets, starting from $160,700*

Mon, 23 Sep 2013

Porsche has come a long way from the days when its entire model line revolved essentially around the 911, but its prototypical rear-engined sports car is still what it's known for best, and still keeps the German automaker pretty busy. With a seemingly endless array of variations on the theme, the 911s just keep on coming until a new generation arrives and then it starts all over again. And what we have here is the new king of the hill (for now, anyway).
Set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show a little less than two months from now are the new Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolets. And no, that's not a typo: that's cabriolets, plural, because what you're looking at are two new models. First up is the 911 Turbo Cabriolet, whose 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six develops 520 horsepower, driving the droptop to 60 miles per hour in 3.3 seconds. That's Porsche's claim, and we have a feeling it's a bit conservative. But if that's still not enough, the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet adds an extra 40 hp for a total of 560 to drop the benchmark acceleration run down to 3.1 seconds.
That makes the new topless Turbos 30 horses stronger and 0.2 seconds quicker than the respective models they replace, but the weight penalty involved with replacing a fixed roof with a folding one (and the necessary structural reinforcement) does make the new 911 Turbo Cabs a smidgen more lethargic than their contemporary coupe counterparts, which run the gauntlet in 3.2 and 2.9 seconds in standard Turbo and upgraded Turbo S specs, respectively. They only lose a single tick on the top speed, though, which clocks in at a follicle-tickling 195 mph in either spec. Otherwise the specifications are as identical as you might expect.

Jaguar F-Pace vs. Porsche Macan | Performance luxury crossover comparison

Mon, Jul 16 2018

TRANSCRIPT: The luxury performance crossover. 10 years ago, the list of examples was only a few vehicles deep but today it seems like every luxury car company makes at least one of these. This specific example is a 2018 Jaguar F-Pace S and it happens to be Autoblog 's newest long-term test vehicle. And here's the thing: It's really great to drive. Welcome to the Jaguar F-Pace S. Under the hood we have a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that makes 380 horsepower and 332 pound feet of torque, which pulls the F-Pace from 0 to 60 in just 5.1 seconds. That's a pretty sizable upgrade from the base model's 247 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired to an eight speed automatic transmission that responds pretty quickly to the paddles when in sport mode. There are three driving modes to choose from: You have dynamic, normal and eco. Even though the F-Pace name sounds like the F-Type, aside from the powertrain, they really aren't related. It's named that because it's based on the rear-wheel-drive Jag XF, just like the E-Pace is on the XE and the J-Pace will end up being based off of the XJ. Even though the F-Pace is all-wheel drive compared to the rear-wheel XF, it is a rear-bias system, which means it belongs exactly where we are right now, on twisty, turny back roads. This is a Jaguar, which means it sounds good but it looks even better. In my opinion, this is the best looking SUV on the market today. The Caesium Blue is a new color in the U.S. for this model year and we opted to get the black package, which includes black side vents, a black grill and roof rails. This is a $70,000 luxury crossover and the materials, they're okay. The plastics, I don't know, they kind of feel cheap even with the luxury interior upgrade package. The 10-inch touch screen is pretty big, in a good way. And while the surround sound isn't the best that I've heard, it's perfectly serviceable, especially since all I want to hear is this engine. For $70,000, this is what you get: A beautiful SUV that performs incredibly on the road. But what if you want more? This Macan costs over $96,000, which is almost $30,000 more than the F-Pace S. If you wanted to, you could buy a base Cayenne and a base F-Pace for that kind of money. But with that price comes more power, thanks to this Macan Turbo's performance pack. 60 more horsepower and 90 more pound-feet of torque than the F-Pace S bringing the total to 440 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque.

Another cool projection vid, this time with a Porsche 911

Fri, 28 Dec 2012

Porsche has become the latest automaker to take advantage of clever projection technology. The automaker worked up a quick presentation for the 2013 911 Carrera 4S to show off a bit of "motionless driving." The display tracks the sports car from production to back-road caning and city-center cruising, displaying a variety of exterior color choices and wheel options without resorting to a two-dimensional video.
This isn't the first time we've seen an automaker use its new product as a projection screen. Subaru, Hyundai, Lamborghini and others have all done the same, and the trick never fails to be visually interesting.
As you may recall, we got to play with the 2013 911 Carrera 4S back in November and found the machine to be a better daily driver than its rear-wheel drive counterpart. You can check out the projection video below.
