This auction is for a 1991 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet (Convertible),  non-Turbo vehicle with a 3.0L 4-cylinder 16-Valve engine and a 5-spd Manual tranny.

Vehicle is in great running and driving condition for the model year and mileage.  It is NOT a perfect vehicle or a new vehicle - it's a 20+ year-old USED sports car.  But it LOOKS great and it's a CLASSIC Collectible.
AutoCheck indicates a Salvage Title in 1997(!) which may or may not be correct.....I have no idea why and I have no history of the vehicle that far back.  It was purchased with a CLEAR CT Title  and now it has a CLEAR NY State Title (see photos).  No further information is available.

Only a handful of Black Porsche S2 were made in 1991 (the last year of this style 944s) and it has the most powerful naturally aspired engine of 3.0L and 220 HP.   No Turbo lag and no costly maintenance bills to worry about...Plenty of torque throughout the RPM range.

The Timing Belt and Water pump were done at 103K miles....Recent tune-up includes new NGK plugs and oil and filter change.   No service records are available from previous owners.   I have maintained this Porsche (along with my Porsche 928 vehicles) in nice running condition with regular oil and filter changes.

The paint shows very well and there are no major scratches or dents anywhere....The interior is in average condition for the model year and mileage and there is a separation on the driver's seat....The dash is in great condition with no rips. The carpet looks fine.  The original Cabrio top is also in average condition with no leaks but there are a couple of patches on it....It looks ok but it might need replacement down the road since it's 20+ year-old.

Big brakes and upgraded suspension is carried over from the Porsche 944 Turbo and the 17" Upgraded wheels and HUGE rear tires made this Porsche S2 stand out anywhere you go. People take photos and ask what kind of Porsche this is!!!
Not many of them around and certainly NONE looking this good.....

Aren't you tired of seeing Porsche Boxters everywhere you look???

Get it and drive something unique with timeless styling and GREAT LOOKS.....

As with all vehicles sold on eBay, there is NO WARRANTY and NO REFUNDS.....A $500 deposit is due immediately via PayPal  and the balance due within 7 days in the form of Bank Certified funds or Wire transfer.   Any other arrangement
needs to be discussed and agreed upon.

This 1991 Porsche 944 S2 Cabrio will be sold AS IS and where is.

Vehicle is located in POUGHKEEPSIE   NY  12603

It's a current driver on sunny days so the mileage will be higher at pickup time.

NO DELIVERY   -  PICKUP ONLY in NY after payment has been made in full....

Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R named Road & Track Performance Car of the Year

Mon, Nov 9 2015

With a 526-horsepower, 5.2-liter V8 that roars to 8,250 rpm, it's really hard to consider the 2016 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350R an underdog in any fight. However, the Shelby held the lowest as-tested price and was only middle of the pack in terms of power in Road & Track's 2016 Performance Car of the Year challenge. The 'Stang's numbers clearly didn't tell the whole story about the potent coupe because Ford's muscle car grabbed the title in this year's test. A model needs to be new or significantly updated to be eligible for the honor, and R&T found an impressive slate of eight candidates this year. The challengers included the Bentley Continental GT3-R, Cadillac ATS-V Coupe, Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Dodge Viper ACR, Mercedes-AMG GT S, and Porsche Cayman GT4. The Ferrari 488 GTB was the most expensive of the bunch with an as-tested price of $347,942, which is five times more than the Shelby. Once the group was together, R&T hustled them over curving roads and on the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park. There was a lot to love about the Shelby, even in this impressive crew. "With a flat-plane crank and Sport Cup 2 tires, the GT350R is a Mustang turned up to 11," editor-in-chief Larry Webster said in the announcement of the results. The GT350R joins some great company. Past winners include the Porsche 911 GT3 last year and the Corvette in 2013. For some fantastic photography and the complete appraisal of these performance machines check out R&T's website for the full story. The article appears in the December/January issue, on newsstands November 17, and on RoadandTrack.com. "With a flat-plane crank and Sport Cup 2 tires, the GT350R is a Mustang turned up to 11," said Larry Webster, editor-in-chief of Road & Track. "Not only does the car have soul and harness so much firepower with such ease, but the real achievement here is that it's so approachable. It's a car you can't help but love." The Mustang Shelby GT350R was the winner by a runaway vote.

Here's the stunning Porsche Vision GT car we can't have

Wed, Jul 13 2016

By now you've seen plenty of the Vision Gran Turismo cars featured in Gran Turismo 6. These are radical designs from real car designers at major automakers – some exist purely digitally for gameplay, while others have been rendered as show cars as well. Participating companies range from Hyundai to Aston Martin, but one notable exception is Porsche. All of Porsche's cars have been absent from Gran Turismo ever since the first game due to licensing issues, some of which have also plagued other game developers. However, a small, independent team of designers decided that wouldn't stop them from coming up with their own concept of a Porsche concept for the game. The team consisted of six people from around the globe – five automotive designers and one expert photo retoucher. They say their inspiration was the 1969 Porsche 908 LH race car, and this 908-04 certainly shares the classic racer's lengthy tail. The design also borrows from some current Porsche designs, including the 918 Spyder, the 919 Hybrid racecar, and the Mission E electric concept that has been greenlit for production. Creating a raw, visceral, simple machine seems to be the goal of their design, as they say it is "a purely manual car" and that they want it to "give you goose bumps just by imagining yourself driving it." It's not meant to be a fantastical concept either, as the designers state they aimed to make it so someone could realistically fit inside and drive. Which is more than can be said for the laser-propelled Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo. We'll only be able to imagine ourselves driving it, though, as this is not an official concept from Porsche. And even if it was, it's highly unlikely Polyphony Digital would go through the necessary hoops to get Porsche in the game. Instead, we can just drool. To see more of this stylish hypothetical Porsche and read more of the backstory, check out the designers' website at www.porschevisiongt.com. Supercars for the win | Autoblog Podcast #515

Fri, May 19 2017

Some days at Autoblog are better than others. And in this episode, we talk about those days. Specifically, the days where we get to drive supercars. Mike Austin, Greg Migliore, and Alex Kierstein join up in this episode to talk about driving the McLaren 720S, Ford GT, and Porsche 911 GT3. We also drove some less-super, but still notable cars that we talk about at the top of the show. And as always, we play the game Spend My Money where we get to tell readers what we'd do if we were them. We had a lot of fun with this one, we hope you enjoy listening to it. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too.
