PORSCHE 944, 1984, great classic car! Fun, runs great, and well taken care of. Engine: 2.5L 2479CC I4, aluminum block and head, naturally aspirated Transmission: 5 speed manual The Good: All original - except for the radio. Kalahari gold exterior with brown interior (all original) 116k predominantly highway miles 2.5L I4 5 speed manual trans Sunroof A/C Power Windows and Mirrors Newer HD Radio/CD (will also include original Blaupunkt) Garaged its entire life with regular maintenance. Factory manual. Interior is in very good/clean shape. Paint is original and in very good shape. The Less Good: Very minor dash cracks (typical for the age of the car). While paint is very good, front has some chipping and some very small scratches. Radio antenna does not extend or retract. Tires are okay, but are dated and probably need replacing. Needs a tune up and A/C needs a charge. |

Porsche inspecting 2,500 Euro-spec Macans for damaged brake boosters
Thu, 29 May 2014Porsche is investigating a potential brake issue with 2,500 of its new Macan CUVs. The inspection focuses on the state of the brake systems following tests that discovered the brake boosters may have been damaged during assembly.
Porsche has pointed out that, despite the concern, the affected Macans still meet safety regulations. The issue is predominantly found in European-spec Macans, which according to Porsche, have been delivered to consumers. Owners of affected vehicles in Europe will be notified and asked to come in for a brief, no-cost inspection.
American consumers, though, have no reason to worry. We reached out to Porsche Cars North America, who confirmed that the vehicles in question were assembled before US-spec cars were screwed together.
Porsche planning customer driving center at Le Mans
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Porsche seems to be on a campaign to build driving centers for its customers to allow them to experience the capabilities of their cars on track. It has one under way in Los Angeles, another in development at its North American headquarters in Atlanta, and a British center set up at the Silverstone circuit. Now the latest reports indicate that Porsche is planning yet another driving center at Le Mans.
The new facility is earmarked to be built at the Circuit de la Sarthe right by the start/finish line, incorporating the Porsche Curves that bridge the Arnage corner and the Ford Chicanes on the West side of the famous track.
Porsche is reportedly still seeking approval from the Automobile Club de l'Ouest that manages the circuit, and once given the green light, would still take some time to complete. But the idea of driving a 911 flat out on the legendary track is likely to make more than a few mouths water, particularly as the German automaker prepares its full-on assault of the famous endurance race next year.
Proof the world revolves around the Porsche Cayman
Sat, 27 Apr 2013Or at least the world revolves underneath the Porsche Cayman, in the latest video showing off Stuttgart's mid-engine coupe. Porsche put an Easter egg in the world that spins triple-time, a "famous relative" of the Cayman hidden somewhere on the marble planet, and gave a Porsche Martini bag to one of the first 50 people who could point it out.
