Sharp 1983 944. This is the first year of this model, which Porsche has called "the best cornering Porsche". 80k original miles, interior nearly perfect, paint shines, she looks every bit as good as the photos.
Alas, too many cars for me and it is time for her to go to a good new home.
New tires on awesome BBS rims, new battery, runs great, a fun car that has been well cared for. The photos tell the story best.

Mechanically excellent, A/C blows cold. K&N Air filter.
There are a couple of things I have not yet addressed since getting the car:
Windshield washer does not work, I have replaced the pump, and expect, from the forum reading I have done, the contacts on the switch (arm on the steering column) need to be cleaned.
The cable on the heater control in the cabin needs to be tightened in the dash. This slippage is also noted in the forums, and means once you turn on the heat, it is on, with the short term remedy to go under the hood and manually move the switch on the heater hose to off.
All gauges and controls work, transmission shifts smoothly, clean undercarriage, and it is a blast to drive.

Porsche Museum highlights history of the 911 RSR
Sat, 12 Jan 2013Porsche has amassed quite an impressive trophy case in just about every racing series it has ever entered, and one of its most dominant machines has to be the 911 RSR from the 1970s. Taking part in various GT-class competitions, the 911 RSR managed to take home three international and seven German victories in 1973, its very first year of competition.
Not one to downplay its racing successes, Porsche has released an informative video detailing the 911 RSR's impressive heritage. The 1973 RSR model owned by the Porsche Museum is detailed beautifully on video, and we have to say it looks absolutely stunning in its vintage Martini Racing livery.

Watch this Koenigsegg CCX hit 211 mph on a runway, outpacing McLaren's P1
Tue, 03 Jun 2014Vmax200 in in England organizes events where those who care to show up with a supercar can run them down the two-mile runway at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground. Evo attended the latest event, bringing an impressively green Lamborghini Aventador to test its girth and gaping vents against other precious metals like the McLaren P1 and F1, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Enzo, a Porsche Carrera GT and enough 911 Turbos to start a dealership. Speaking of those Porsches, nine of the top ten slots in the top speed competition are claimed by modified 911 Turbos.
A monochrome Swede ruled them all, though, a black-and-white Koenigsegg CCX setting fire to the speed trap run after run, hitting 211 miles per hour at its quickest. It was followed by, surprise, a 911 GT2 modified by 9E that did 210 mph. Muffler Man gets racing suit to mark progress on Porsche Experience Center
Sat, 19 Oct 2013In a dramatic change of careers, a fiberglass Muffler Man statue on the side of a busy Los Angeles freeway, formerly known as "Golf Guy," traded in his clubs for a Porsche driver's suit a couple days ago. It's no coincidence, as he's standing on land that the German automaker bought from the Dominguez Hills Golf Course a couple years ago to build its west coast Porsche Experience Center - which will be complete with a test track, restoration and maintenance facilities, a cafe and restaurant, a home for Porsche Motorsports North America and more, when it's finished in the fourth quarter of 2014.
The Porsche Muffler Man will serve as the gatekeeper to the 53-acre center and overlook the test track on the side of the 405 freeway. We can't think of a better job for a fiberglass giant that used to watch golf all day than to watch Porsche road cars and racecars getting wrung out on a test track in the middle of LA. Since Muffler Men are quite adaptable, we're sure this one will fit into his new role in no time - just as easily as he can double as Paul Bunyan.
