Up for sale is my beautiful 1983 Porsche 930. This is a Euro spec. ROW. coupe. VIN# WP0ZZZ93ZDS000504 With certificate of authenticity from Porsche. Factory rated at 300 bhp with large euro spec fuel system. Last of the light weight 930's. The car was imported November 27, 1984 by its first owner who was a German engineer. 76.011 miles. The car was ordered with a very rare paint to sample color schwarzmetallic. One professional very expensive repaint last year using original color code. Paint is beautiful, almost looks black in the evening, with shades of silver and gold metallic in the sun. Super straight, no dings or scratches. Car is very original with original seats in great condition and full leather interior. Carpets are excellent. There is a period correct Fittipaldi personal leather steering wheel and a factory 934 boost guage in place of the factory clock. Dash was replaced with a later model in perfect shape. Full carpeted trunk area, and original tool kit. Optional limited slip differential, sunroof, factory fuchs that have been polished are in great shape with no rash. Mint H4 headlights. Smooth shifting 4 speed with strong smooth clutch and no grinds. I have a large stack of maintenance records and paperwork all the way back to the early nineties that show consistent mileage history, as well as all the EPA and customs paperwork. The motor runs great. Paperwork shows invoices from mahle for pistons and cylinders in the mid nineties which would indicate a full rebuild was performed at that time. The engine is equipped with a K-27 7200 turbo, B&B intercooler, B&B headers and dual outlet muffler. No Cat. Converter (Original heat exchangers and intercooler are included). Engine is dry underneath. Car performs as it should and is super fast, also A/C blows COLD. There is no rust anywhere on the car, front pan and battery tray area are mint and the car has never been hit. I hate to sell it as these cars are appreciating very quickly but I have another opportunity to pusue. Call me with any questions and feel free to come take a look or have it inspected. Thanks for looking. Ryan 239-218-9114

Porsche to only build next Panamera in Leipzig?
Sun, 06 Oct 2013Manufacture of the next-generation Porsche Panamera could be moving, if a report from Reuters is true. The current-generation Panamera range has its bodies welded together and painted at a Volkswagen facility in Hanover before being shipped to Leipzig where final assembly takes place.
According to Reuters, Porsche is looking to cut VW out of the equation and focus production of the Panamera in Leipzig. While this could cost 800 of the 14,300 workers at Hanover their jobs, it's not entirely clear what Porsche stands to gain by the move. It recently invested 50- million euros (about $680 million at today's rates) on a paint and body shop for its Leipzig factory, ostensibly so the facility could have Macan production underway by that car's spring 2014 on-sale date. If the facility was also designed with next-generation Panamera production in mind, then Porsche's decision to put all of its eggs in one basket could make a lot of sense. It currently ships the semi-completed Panameras from Hanover to Leipzig, a distance of around 160 miles by road, and presumably it's a costly and time-consuming process.
The Leipzig factory produced 27,000 Panameras last year, although it's unclear just what its production capacity really is. Besides the Panamera and the upcoming Macan, the factory also builds the Porsche Cayenne.
2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid is one mean green machine
Sat, 20 Apr 2013The entire Porsche Panamera lineup gets a refresh for the 2014 model year, and new additions to the range include two long-wheelbase models and this E-Hybrid fuel-sipper that makes its debut here at the Shanghai Motor Show. And, well, we say "fuel-sipper lightly."
Porsche has packed its hybrid Panamera with 416 horsepower and 435 pound-feet of torque, and that certainly makes for one quick sedan-hatchback-thing. Hitting 60 miles per hour will reportedly take just 5.2 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 167 mph. And while Porsche hasn't revealed specific powertrain details, the company says that the S E-Hybrid "improves upon the concept offered by the previous Panamera S Hybrid with a more powerful electric motor," which leads us to believe that the supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine at the heart of it all still remains intact.
Fuel economy numbers (or estimates) have not been released as of this writing, but we expect to have that information closer to the car's on-sale date later this year. As for the new battery system, Porsche says that when plugged into a 240-volt charging station, it can be fully charged in just two and a half hours. When topped off, the Panamera S E-Hybrid should have an electric driving range of around 20 miles at speeds up to 84 mph, though, obviously, not at the same time.
J.D. Power: Vehicle dependability at all-time high, Lexus and Porsche lead
Wed, 13 Feb 2013
Each year, J.D. Power and Associates surveys original owners of three-year-old vehicles to find out what kinds of problems they have had experienced over the last 12 months, and then it uses this data to create its annual Vehicle Dependability Study. This means that the models in the 2013 study are 2010 model year vehicles, and J.D. Power rates each make as well as the top individual models based on how many problems were experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100).
Debunking the idea that carryover models are more dependable than new or updated models, the 2013 study found that the average carryover model experienced 133 PP100, while all-new or redesigned vehicles for the 2010 model year had 116 PP100; vehicles that received minor changes fared the best with just 111 PP100. The overall average for all makes was 126 PP100, which is the lowest figure since the findings were first issued in 1989.
