See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"This is a real nice running and looking 928S, Great engine power and super shifting transmission. The right rear 1/4 was hit a number of years back but the repair was done professionally and the car tracks perfectly, drives beautifully, great handling. My photos should show the bad and the good (mostly good). Paint shows very nicely with some minor defects. I wouldn't characterize this as a show car by any means but for asking price, you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer condition 928. Interior is in very nice condition with new carpeting, dash covers, and door skins. Passed recent emissions test in Maryland. Includes rear wiper and front spoiler (I like the car without the front spoiler)"

I'm looking for a more practical car so the baby needs to go.

Timing belt service- new belt, rebuilt belt tensioner, new pulleys and bearings, rebuilt water pump, new coolant

Brake service- New master cylinder, flushed out all lines with fresh brake fluid
Replaced, re-greased wheel bearings, new seals
Engine vacuum lines replaced
Fuel injector seals replaced
New Blaupunkt radio +  new speakers
NEW Sliverknit carpet, original color
New door panel skins
Redone drivers seat in leather other leather surfaces are still in nice shape
Dash + pod were recovered with new skin (plastic but looks very good- much better than those carpet covers)
Sunroof seals replaced, motor works as designed.
Recent paint work and detailing, not perfect but looks very good.
Gauges cluster rebuilt
New Kumho's in front, wheels bead blasted and repainted last year. Car handles great, like a Porsche should.
Steering rack boots, and CV boots have all been replaced.
Previous owner had a timing belt failure so the heads were rebuilt professionally at around 90k miles (I have the receipt to prove) at a cost of some $5000 so this thing still has great compression and power, (it will still catch rubber shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear).
Transmission shifts great - no problems
Windshield replaced a few years back but is in great condition- no chips
Rear tail light housings and lenses replaced

The only things that don't work are the cruise control, rear wiper (still have the motor and mechanism) and the rear view mirror controls.

Recent work on AC system:
• Compressor rebuilt with new seals + new Castrol POE oil
• All new O-rings throughout the system, this system will hold charge!
• New hoses- system held vacuum so it will not require recharging like typical old cars
• Blow nice and cold on those hot summer days!

Momo steering wheel shown in pictures, I would like to keep this wheel, however if the reserve price is exceeded, I will include.  I have the original steering wheel, in good condition.

The only thing that will need attention is a small tube in the exhaust system needs replacement, the rest of the exhaust system is in great shape.

As stated above, I have the rear wiper mechanism and front spoiler bu like the look of the car without so I left them off.  Spoiler is in very nice shape though- see pictures.

I will promptly answer any and all questions about my car so please ask. My reserve is set low, substantially less than what I've put into the car.

Thanks for looking!

Jaguar F-Pace vs. Porsche Macan | Performance luxury crossover comparison

Mon, Jul 16 2018

TRANSCRIPT: The luxury performance crossover. 10 years ago, the list of examples was only a few vehicles deep but today it seems like every luxury car company makes at least one of these. This specific example is a 2018 Jaguar F-Pace S and it happens to be Autoblog 's newest long-term test vehicle. And here's the thing: It's really great to drive. Welcome to the Jaguar F-Pace S. Under the hood we have a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that makes 380 horsepower and 332 pound feet of torque, which pulls the F-Pace from 0 to 60 in just 5.1 seconds. That's a pretty sizable upgrade from the base model's 247 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired to an eight speed automatic transmission that responds pretty quickly to the paddles when in sport mode. There are three driving modes to choose from: You have dynamic, normal and eco. Even though the F-Pace name sounds like the F-Type, aside from the powertrain, they really aren't related. It's named that because it's based on the rear-wheel-drive Jag XF, just like the E-Pace is on the XE and the J-Pace will end up being based off of the XJ. Even though the F-Pace is all-wheel drive compared to the rear-wheel XF, it is a rear-bias system, which means it belongs exactly where we are right now, on twisty, turny back roads. This is a Jaguar, which means it sounds good but it looks even better. In my opinion, this is the best looking SUV on the market today. The Caesium Blue is a new color in the U.S. for this model year and we opted to get the black package, which includes black side vents, a black grill and roof rails. This is a $70,000 luxury crossover and the materials, they're okay. The plastics, I don't know, they kind of feel cheap even with the luxury interior upgrade package. The 10-inch touch screen is pretty big, in a good way. And while the surround sound isn't the best that I've heard, it's perfectly serviceable, especially since all I want to hear is this engine. For $70,000, this is what you get: A beautiful SUV that performs incredibly on the road. But what if you want more? This Macan costs over $96,000, which is almost $30,000 more than the F-Pace S. If you wanted to, you could buy a base Cayenne and a base F-Pace for that kind of money. But with that price comes more power, thanks to this Macan Turbo's performance pack. 60 more horsepower and 90 more pound-feet of torque than the F-Pace S bringing the total to 440 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque.

Porsche 911 GT2 RS vs. Mercedes SLS AMG Black in battle of who can shred more rubber

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

We might be looking at the end of an era in European performance models. Mercedes-Benz is doing away with the SLS in favor of a rumored smaller and cheaper SLC, and Porsche has said that a new 911 GT2 isn't necessarily a sure thing, which means another 911 GT2 RS is even farther away. In its latest video, Evo's Jethro Bovingdon pits the ultimate versions of these German sports coupes against each other and finds two of the fastest cars the magazine has ever lapped around its track.
In one corner, there is the Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series that sits as the pinnacle of the company's halo model. It relies on the classic setup of a V8 mounted in front powering the rear wheels. On the other side, there is the 911 GT2 RS with a turbocharged flat-six mounted at the back, spinning the rear wheels. It was conceived to be Porsche's ultimate expression of a turbocharged 911, and while it's a few years old, Bovingdon shows that it's up to the task of racing a more modern rival.
Both of these rear-wheel-drive monsters are more than capable of some fantastically smoky power-slides, but they also show how great the last generation of sports cars was. Scroll down to check out the video.

2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

Fri, 19 Jul 2013

I don't care who you are; when a new Porsche 911 rolls up in your driveway, that's a pretty good day. This was my very first experience with Porsche's 991 911, and after having spent time with just about every tune and trim of the last car, I was hotly anticipating comparing and contrasting.
Somehow (I don't remember sending out any cash-filled, unmarked envelopes) I'd scored a week in the 911 Carrera 4S over a long holiday weekend, too. That meant that I'd get to A) log a ton of miles in one of the best cars in the world, B) get to show-off the Porsche to family and friends and C) tempt cops in three states to pull me over. Good thing I've got the Autoblog traffic lawyer on speed dial...
