For sale is a 1969 Porsche 912. I purchased car in Las Vegas in 2003.Car had been in storage for at least
6years. gas tank was cleaned prior to that storage. Car was taken apart & soda blasted. Car was painted in St. George Utah in 2007. Car was never rubbed out or color sanded ? Car in storage until Nov. 2012
in Mich. In Nov. 2012 car was taken to a German Auto service shop in Grand Rapids for inspection & repair. Car ran
rough Solexes could not be adjusted. A new set of Webers were installed. Valves were adjusted, plugs, points, oil were changed. ball joint was changed per suggestion as were the front wheel bearings. Car runs very strong. Not certain, but I was told that it did have a big bore kit. This car runs much stronger than the 912 I owned previously.
Car needs tlc and trim put on. I have most parts to finish. Seats are installed but appear loose. It came with RS door panels, but the originals come with car as do the pockets. car has original radio, no back seats. it is equipped with a gas heater but its not hooked up. Doors need to be adjusted, door locks work. The electrics need hook up. lights, horn, wipers, turn signals. car also needs healiner, which has hole above passenger visor.
After moving back to mich. I got ill. I dont have any energy to finish. Thanks for reading. If you need more info...Ask
If you need to speak to me I will include a phone# in response. And of course potential buyers can inspect personally.
please note that the Fuch wheels are not included. they are too wide to fit under the fenders.
thanks for looking.

Porsche Cayman S and Caterham 7 go head to head on the drag strip
Fri, 27 Jun 2014We recently saw the standard Porsche Cayman go up against a Subaru WRX STI in a one-mile drag race with surprising results. Apparently, Evo had a similar idea of evaluating the Cayman's quickness. However, it opted for the more powerful S model and chose a flyweight Caterham Roadsport 140 as the challenger. Will the results of this battle be as close at the end of the kilometer-long (0.62-mile) drag?
Neither of these are cars you'd usually associate with drag racing, but they are nearly evenly matched. Evo selected them based on power-to-weight ratio, with the Caterham offering a scant 140 horsepower in a lithe 1,213-pound package. The Porsche is a quite svelte 2,910 pounds but has 325 hp to haul it around.
Of course, power-to-weight ratio isn't everything. There are a ton of other variables like aerodynamics and gearing that play a huge role, as well. Can the little Caterham's weight advantage overcome the better aero and additional power of the Porsche? Scroll down watch the video and find out.
New Porsche 4-cyl engines to range from 1.6L to 2.5L
Mon, 02 Jun 2014Recent rumors of a turbocharged, flat-four-engine from Porsche for the Boxster (pictured testing above), Cayman and maybe other models go back over a year. The latest scuttlebutt indicates that there could be three variants on the horizon with 1.6-, 2.0- and 2.5-liter displacements and power as high as 360 horsepower.
Car magazine in the UK claims to have access to the specifications for the project and thinks the 2.0- and 2.5-liter versions are guaranteed for production for the Boxster and Cayman. However, it believes a question mark still looms over the 210-hp 1.6L because the engine would go into a new, smaller sports car that still doesn't have a green light for production.
Regardless of displacement, the new fours would be turbocharged and direct-injected. The 2.0-liter would produce around 286 hp and 295 pound-feet of torque, and the 2.5-liter would make about 360 hp and 347 lb-ft. Earlier reports pegged some parts sharing with the current flat-six.
2017 Porsche Panamera caught testing without camo
Mon, Mar 14 2016One of these days, Porsche is going to introduce the 2017 Panamera. That day is not today, though, so we've got yet another round of spy photos showing the new sedan undergoing winter testing. This is easily the closest we've seen to a production body on the new Panamera – it's completely free of camouflage aside from the unconvincing stickers over the headlights and taillights. They're not very good, though. We can see the taillights will adopt a similar look to the new 911 – they'll be slim LEDs that occupy a lot less space than on the current car. The headlights are slimmer too, but there's no light being shown through the stickers, so we can't discuss actual changes as easily as we can on the tail. As we've said before, the Sport Turismo Concept styling has been plainly converted to create an evolved version of the Panamera's existing design language. According to our spies, the next Panamera will ride on a new MSB platform that aims to slash 200 pounds of fat from the next-gen model. Aluminum and high-strength steel play a big roll in that weight loss. Underhood, there should be the usual range of six- and eight-cylinder engines with a plug-in-hybrid option. As we reported previously, expect the Panamera to show up at a European show, likely Paris or possibly Geneva in 2017. Related Video:
