Very rare Amethyst Metallic with Espresso interior

Save over $90,000 off new. The car is more than $30,000 under current book value.

The car is on a rebuilt title after it was arbitrated as an insurance write off. The previous owner had a minor wreck (photos are included) and refused the car, forcing the insurance company to buy it (usually this happens with high end cars when owners say their cars resale value was diminished by being in a wreck). It was light front end damage with no airbags deployed. It was repaired right and I was told repairs were less than $10,000.

With 5k miles driven since, this car just had it’s 30k mile service at the Porsche dealership and passed the typical multi-point inspection with flying colors. The car is perfect. No dings, no scratches, and pretty much like new.

Very rare color - Amethyst Metallic almost looks like a candied paint option. The car looks black most of the time, and a dark blackberry hue when the light hits it right. It’s a very classy color gets a lot of compliments.

The car is very heavily optioned.

There’s loads more options than this on the car - but here’s the basics.

Porsche Doppelkupplung “PDK” transmission

Spyder RS Wheels with Center hubs

Heated and Ventilated Front Seats

Dynamic Bi-Xenon Headlight Package (the headlights turn when you turn the wheel)

Parking Assist,

Voice Control

Sport Design Steering Wheel

Interior Package Switch Panel Exterior Color

Door Finishers in Exterior Colors

Console in Exterior Color

Rear LED Footwell Lighting

Mirror Attach Point Painted Option

Front Intake Grill Painted Exterior Color

PCM Package Painted

Illuminated Steel Door Sills

Natural Leather Option in Espresso Brown

Amethyst Metallic Paint Option

Only selling because I have too many toys and it's time to cut down.

The car is always garaged. I can promise you this is not a car you’ll be disappointed in. Nearly perfect, insanely fast, great milage and tons off retail.

This is the second rebuilt titled car I have owned (the last being a Lamborghini Gallardo) and it’s a great way to get a great car for thousands under book.

Make sure you have financing lined out before you bid or "buy it now".

Happy bidding! Please contact me with any questions. I am going to list this in there places so I may end the auction without any notice prior to hitting reserve.

Porsche's baby Panamera delayed until 2019 or later

Tue, 15 Jul 2014

If you're enticed by the idea of a Porsche sedan but find the Panamera to be too big, your hopes may have been raised by the development of the so-called Pajun. But don't get those hopes up too much, because the latest word coming in from the Old World has it that the Panamera Junior has been delayed.
The Pajun was (and theoretically still is, despite tardiness) a project to apply to the Panamera the same winning formula that Porsche used to transmute the Cayenne into the smaller Macan. Its size would be closer to the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class than the larger Panamera, and employ an array of six-cylinder engines.
The smaller five-door was set to be the cornerstone of Porsche Product Strategy 2018, a plan that included several new models to be launched within the next four years. However, reports now indicate that the Volkswagen Group is counting on Porsche to help bolster its profits and is not keen on investing in new products at this time, pushing the Pajun and other projects back until 2019 at the earliest. Although much of the strategy remains undisclosed, it is believed to include (or have included) a sub-Boxster sports car and a supercar to slot in between the 911 and the 918 Spyder. There was also talk of a shooting brake version of the Panamera based on the Sport Turismo concept pictured above. What will become of those projects, however, remains to be seen.

Recharge Wrap-up: Porsche buys stake in carbon fiber partsmaker, Formula E runs on solar

Thu, Mar 5 2015

The US Department of Energy is providing $35 million in new funding for fuel cell and hydrogen technologies. The money will fund projects to advance technology and speed up adoption of fuel cell applications like light-duty vehicles. Categories for possible projects include deployment of fuel-cell electric hybrid vehicles, mobile refueling and one called "Crosscutting: America's Climate Communities of Excellence." Other possible projects include research and development for hydrogen production, delivery and fuel cell manufacturing. Read more from the DOE. Porsche will buy a 25.1-percent stake in carbon fiber parts manufacturer Capricorn Composite GmbH. Capricorn has provided parts for Porsche's LMP1 racecar and 918 Spyder. The deal will give the automaker better access to the lightweight material going forward, and will "build on joint work over many years in the motor-sports industry and secure the future," according to Porsche. Porsche's parent company Volkswagen owns almost 10 percent of Capricorn's competitor SGL Carbon SE, but an expansion of that ownership could be thwarted by BMW, which controls more of SGL's stock. Read more at Bloomberg. The electric racecars running in the Formula E Miami ePrix will use solar energy. Florida Power & Light (FPL) will provide the electricity the cars will be using for the race on March 14, and its Martin Next Generation Solar Energy Center provided the electricity the cars used during the announcement event. "Our partnership with Formula E and the Miami ePrix is another example of our commitment to advancing zero-emissions solar energy and the use of electric vehicles in Florida," says FPL President and CEO Eric Silagy. FPL currently operates two other solar plants, with plans to install 1 million solar panels at three more power plants by the end of next year. Read more at Domestic Fuel. Porsche 924 GTP restored for coupe's 40th birthday

Thu, Apr 28 2016

The Porsche 924 is among the most unappreciated models from the German brand, but it's still an important part of Porsche's history as the predecessor to the 944 and eventually the 968. To mark the 40th anniversary of the sport coupe's 1976 introduction, Porsche Great Britain is restoring an important member of the vehicle's legacy by bringing a 1980 Porsche 924 GTP racecar back to its former glory. This car was among three factory-backed 924 GTPs that raced in the 1980 24 Hours of Le Mans. After the event, the car immediately went into Porsche's museum collection, and it has been there ever since. The missing body parts and rough paint still show the wear and tear of racing around the clock in France. The 924 GTP featured all the tricks you would expect would be needed to take the road-going coupe to the track. Porsche cut the weight down to 2,050 pounds, and the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine made 315 horsepower and 282 pound-feet of torque. Power went to the rear wheels through a five-speed gearbox. You can follow along with the restoration online, including period photos of how it should look. The video above also offers a rare glimpse at the Porsche archive, which includes over 5 million photos and 5,000 hours of movies and audio. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
