This is a 2007 Porsche 911 997 body Twin Turbo with a 6 speed. I will start by saying this car does have salvage history due to light interior flood issue while I owned it which happened a few months back. Car drives 100% with all repairs done. CLEAN & CLEAR title in hand even had it inspected at DMV after it occured. I decided to do keep the car and do the repairs which I will list which where very minor. I drive the car every few days with no lights no issues and no known problems. You are welcome to have a tech look at it at my location. The car is being sold as-is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. I am only selling because my fleet is getting a little large and need a new house so this one makes the most sense to sell. Its black on black with about 54,000 miles which will go up as I drive it. 6-Speed Porsche PSM Full leather seats with Porsche crest in them Navigation Brand new brakes pads installed at 52k miles I have two sets of wheels which will be included in sale. The ones on the car are Vossen 20inch with nitto tires (rears will need to be replaced @5k miles) Also included are the original wheels with brand new Ventus tires with approx 800 miles on them. After water issue car was cleaned inside( no module damage or computer failures) Spark plugs replaced, air filter, All coils where replaced and Oil changed several times to be safe but no water was found in engine after all. Water was only in intercoolers which where cleaned and dried. No turbo failure at all. I have installed an APR tune which has many modes including stock retail is $3k I also have all the parts to do a custom exhaust still in the box and never installed. Car came with a clear bra in the front. Also has small chip in rear bumper which also is barely visible. Has tinted windows AC buttons have worn off a little which is common on these cars I bought the car from an owner who bought it CPO and took great car of the car.

Porsche celebrates 5M Facebook fans with crowdsourced one-off 911

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

Porsche's Facebook fan base appears to be accelerating as quickly as the cars it builds. The German automaker has just unveiled a special 911 Carrera 4S designed with crowdsourced input as a way to thank its five million Facebook fans.
The 911 features special Aquablaumetallic paint from Porsche Exclusive, contrasting 20-inch white Carrera S wheels and pinstriping, along with an aero package including a fixed rear wing. Inside, there are unique backlit sill plates and the obligatory dashboard engraving that says "Personally Built by 5 Million Porsche Fans."
As a way to turn at least one virtual thumbs up into its more meaningful physical-world equivalent, Porsche is holding a contest to win the chance to drive the car at Britain's Silverstone racetrack - and bring a friend - and nine lucky runners-up will win 1:43-scale models of the 911. A beastly 1979 Porsche 930 is unleashed by Petrolicious

Thu, Nov 12 2015

The 911 Turbo held a special place in Porsche's lineup for decades. Much of the mystique came from its performance potential, but that huge capability also required a deft hand and foot to keep things in check. These days even the most basic 911 packs turbos, but Grant Karnes and his 1979 Porsche 930 demonstrate why the early models remain classics in the latest video from Petrolicious. Karnes says he gets attention from everyone he passes in his 930, and it's easy to understand why. Even before the coupe comes into view, the upgraded, turbocharged engine pops and crackles with a wonderfully raw sound. People then see the Porsche's classic combination of wide fenders and a big rear spoiler. Karnes also adds a vintage racing vibe with Martini decals on the hood and doors, and his license plate tells folks exactly what kind of machine this is. Plus, if you happen to spot this car at night, the exhaust can shoot bursts of flames. Porsches are a fairly common subject in Petrolicious' videos, and they run the gamut from well-worn classics to heavily modded canyon carvers. Karnes' 930 leans more in the latter direction but still maintains a vintage look. He promises the coupe is always exciting to drive, and this clip does a fantastic job of showing why. 1950s car ads are timeless

Sat, Aug 8 2015

Usually around the Super Bowl a few great car commercials show up, but for the most part auto ads today pale in comparison to the '1950s and '60s. In an era with a truly viable magazine industry, automakers would take out gorgeous full-page spreads to get the word out about their wares. It was also a time when imports were just hitting the US, and there was a boom in sports cars. Car and Driver has gone for a dig into its advertising archives from when the book was known as Sports Cars Illustrated for a truly great viewing experience. You can imagine a young Don Draper mulling over the copy for these ads, but some of it is laughably quaint today. For example, there's a great image of a driver whipping an Austin-Healey 100 around a track. The italicized red text proudly proclaims, "From 0 to 60 MPH in 10.5 seconds." One of the beautiful parts about these advertisements is that you seldom see photos of the cars. Instead, there are often detailed drawings that slightly distort the vehicles' lines. With this approach, the Porsche 356 ends up looking far more curvaceous than in real life. Plus, the front end of the Chrysler 300 looks large enough to land a helicopter on. The whole thing is worth scrolling through. There are some fascinating glimpses into auto history like an ad for Abarth exhausts before the brand was just known for tuning Fiats.
