This car is virtually in new condition. Driving it is an absolute thrill. It has never been driven in rain or snow, and always parked inside a climate-controlled garage in Suffolk, VA. Rides smooth, shifts smoothly, sounds wonderful, especially with the "Sport" button turned on. It has GPS navigation that has never been used (DVD is still in its sealed packet) only because you wouldn't care if you got lost...just keep driving!. The black fabric top looks and feels like new. It folds and stores remarkably smoothly and quietly. Goes backupn without a hitch, locks itself on. Check pictures.

Absolutely no nicks or scratches on the flawless paint, a classic combination of metallic Forest Green and tan interior, Sand Beige leather seats and panels. All adjustments are power-assisted or motorized. Tires are perfect with no flat spots and no nicks or marks on the optional sport 19" alloy wheels. Rides so smooth and quiet for a 911, you can actually have a conversation even with the top down. But...step on the gas and the power will push you back against the leather seats like no tomorrow! The response is almost instantaneous and keeps going 'til the 7000 rpm redline. It has many options practical in today's technology like PCM and Bluetooth capability. Phone and other controls handily on the steering wheel. All features and options listed in attached dealer sticker and authenticity pictures. One meticulous owner car.

I have too many cars and simply cannot enjoy this Porsche the way it should be enjoyed. Take advantage of this seriously good opportunity to own a future classic.

Porsche in Paul Walker fatal accident was traveling over 100 mph before crash

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

The Porsche Carrera GT involved in the November crash that killed Fast and Furious star Paul Walker and racer Roger Rodas was traveling at speeds above 100 miles per hour before Rodas lost control for "unknown reasons," according to a report from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office that has been acquired by The Hollywood Reporter.
Once control was lost, the Porsche spun, hit a curb and then impacted a tree and a light post, then it spun 180 degrees and hit another tree before erupting in flames, the report said. Neither Walker nor Rodas were under the influence of any drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident, according to toxicology reports conducted by the coroner.
As for the future of the Fast and Furious franchise, a separate by The Hollywood Reporter claims director James Wan, writer Chris Morgan and Universal Studios will move forward with the seventh installment in the franchise, which was only partially completed when Walker was killed.

Which is quicker in the standing mile, a Subaru WRX STI or a Porsche Cayman?

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

The 2015 Subaru WRX STI and 2014 Porsche Cayman are both saddled with unfair reputations. The STI with its huge wing and gold wheels has the title of the ultimate boy-racer. On the other hand, Porsche brand snobs look down on he base Cayman as just a wannabe 911. In reality, they are both pretty fantastic performance cars. But what would happen if the two of them lined up at a stoplight, and maybe the guy in the suit in the Cayman started throwing some revs at the young man in the STI? Automobile decided to find out in a recent video pitting the two stereotyped hot rods against each other in a standing-mile drag race.
In terms of raw numbers, they are surprisingly close. Both use flat engines and six-speed manual transmissions here, but the Subaru has more power and torque. However, the Porsche makes up for it with 300 pounds less weight. Neither should have a problem with traction either thanks to the STI's sophisticated all-wheel-drive setup, and the Cayman's mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout.
The comparable specs certainly show themselves in the real world for the race. We're not going to give away the winner here because it's too exciting, but let's just say the finish is very, very close. Scroll down to watch both of them shrug off their stereotypes and show off their real performance.

2015 Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series is a seriously quick way to spend $260k

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

Porsche is usually associated with being a sports car brand, but with vehicles like the Cayenne and Panamera it takes a step into the world of luxury against firmly established players like Mercedes-Benz. One way for the company to poke its head above the high-class fray is by taking things further, and in the case of the Panamera Exclusive Series at the Los Angeles Auto Show, it means pushing grandeur to extreme levels.
Coming in at an absolutely eye-watering $263,900, plus $995 destination, the Panamera Exclusive starts its life as the already sumptuous Panamera Turbo S Executive with a 4.8-liter, twin-turbo V8 making 570 horsepower on an extended wheelbase. To help justify the extra $63,000 for the Exclusive, though, the model gets 20-inch black Sport Classic wheels and an interior in swaddled in Nappa leather with dark walnut and piano black trim. Rear passengers also get 10.1-inch touchscreens mounted on the back of the front seats. A set of fitted Poltrana Frau leather luggage is included with each one, as well.
The luxurious sedan earns it Exclusive moniker because just 100 of them are being made worldwide. Scroll down to read about Porsche's ultimate limousine.
