Vehicle Description
Mike's Place is proud to offer this 2003 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet. The MSRP on this vehicle was over $78,400. Here is your chance to own this car for a lot less. The vehicle history report shows the mileage as accurate. The title is 100% clean. Many vehicles from other states experience a rather hard life dealing with harsh weather conditions. Rain, snow, hail, salt roads and cold weather cause all kinds of issues both mechanically and cosmetically. So a West Coast car may appeal to you.
The exterior is what really sets this car apart from almost any other 2003 911 that you have seen. This car was ordered right from the Factory with an "Aero Body Package". The Aero-Kit with Flared Rocker Panels is incredibly rare! Huge 18" 5 Spoke Raised Spine Alloys look SUPER ! The interior is in really nice condition. The leather seats look very good. Both power seats function properly. This vehicle is in amazing condition and priced to sell now! Must see to appreciate, will not last long. Needs nothing! No stories, No wrecks, nothing negative to discuss. The interior is very clean, very fresh, No smoke or foul odors. The dash is in great condition. All the gauges seem to function properly and the digital display looks great. There are no check engine light or warning lights on of any kind. I tried all the buttons located on the dash and door panels and everything seemed to function properly. The air conditioning blows cold and the heater works. The convertible top works great and smooth, please note there is a small warn spot right in the center of the top (see pictures). The door panels are all in great shape and all the power windows work properly. The radio works and the speakers sound great. The exterior of the car is Silver Metallic. The body is straight and dent free. This is a rust free car. Please check out the pictures to see condition of rims and tires. All the glass is in good shape with no visible cracks. This car drives sweet! The engine runs strong with no smoke or funny noises and the transmission shifts nicely. This would make a great daily driver. Please look at all the pictures and keep in mind that this is not a brand new car, normal wear is to be expected. We help transport about 90% of our cars sold. Porsche offers a closer look at the Mission E's design
Wed, Mar 30 2016As Porsche's first fully electric sports sedan to go on sale, the production version of the Mission E concept could revolutionize the company's products. It's vital to get the look just right because of so much riding on the upcoming EV, and a new video from the German sportscar maker offers a glimpse inside the Mission E's design process. When Porsche decided to create a four-seat sports car with an electric drivetrain, the designers started by creating a series of drawings that became clay scale models. While they don't look too different from the final shape, this video gives us a look at several different design sketches for the Mission E. The designers tacked up pictures of the brand's models and took some ideas from them. For example, the smooth nose has a resemblance to the front of the 718 RSK racecar from the late '50s and early '60s, and the Mission E also has cues from the current 919 Hybrid. The interior design process proceeded similarly. The stylists wanted to carry the look of the 911 into the future. For a cutting edge cabin, they also included elements like gesture recognition and holographic displays. In concept form, Porsche claims the Mission E all-wheel drive EV powertrain makes 590 horsepower, and Porsche promised a 311-mile range under the European testing method. Production should begin around 2020 at an updated factory in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Germany. The company's workers at the plant even agreed to adjust their wages to make sure assembly happened there. Related Video:
Race Recap: 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans defines 'endurance'
Mon, 16 Jun 2014Commenting on the rush of events that rocked beginning and end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Paul Truswell of Radio Le Mans said "the race is about the ability to endure, not just the ability of drivers to do what they do for a long time." The entire race machine, all the way down to the pit boards and radios, has to survive the stress and abuse of the entire day. This was the race to prove those words.
There were two Toyotas, two Porsches and three Audis, five of the seven led the race at some point, six of the seven ran in the top three. Toyota will be hugely disappointed that it didn't win when its car and drivers were so, so strong, but they gave Audi the kind of scare we haven't seen since the best of Peugeot's days, and Toyota did a better job of it even in the loss. Porsche blew away everyone's expectations, falling 3.5 hours short of a fairy tale ending that would have made Disney cry.
But Le Mans doesn't really do fairy tales. Well, not that fairy tale. Audi's Twitter handle during the event was #welcomechallenges. As usual, Le Mans answered for the entire field.
Porsche bringing electric Pajun concept to Frankfurt?
Wed, Jul 22 2015France's L'Automobile magazine reports that a precursor to the long-rumored and much-discussed Porsche Pajun will come to the Frankfurt Motor Show. The reveal is being characterized as a "'connected' study that could well turn into a series model." Just seeing something at all, however, would be a major step. Pajun palaver has been splattered all over the Internet for more than three years, since back when it was going to come with a V6 to be an ICE challenger to the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, and Mercedes E-Class. The intervening years have turned the rumormill up to Level: Sasquatch, and still we had no idea when we'd ever see a car that, at one time, was headed for showrooms next year. Then we got a bunch of reports at the end of last year about a swoopy electric sedan, accompanied by patent filings for novel electric and hydrogen fuel cell powerplants. This year, Porsche has been making noise in the US and Europe about EV and connected-car initiatives, and reports blossomed with giggly details concerning the Pajun, like a 300-mile range, potentially 600 horsepower, two electric motors, four-wheel steering, and a topological battery layout with "108 separate battery pouches." A more recent report posits a Tesla Model S-fighting 420 horsepower and a 265-mile range. So we hope L'Automobile is correct, because we can't wait to see the proper, sheetmetal inspiration for whatever the Pajun will be. Related Video:
