2001 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Convertible 2-door 3.4l on 2040-cars
West Hollywood, California, United States
This Porsche is in pristine condition. Black on Black. This is my car, not a dealer, and I have been the only driver of it since 2008 when I bought it. When I bought it in '08 it had 53K mi and now has 76k. Used as my daily driver for the first year then got a commuter car to keep the useless traffic miles off and it became my weekend vehicle. No racing or tracking. Never had any major issues with this car. Almost all maintenance has been done at one shop since '08, Speed Gallery of North Hollywood CA. Feel free to reach out to them and ask questions about the vehicle. All parts have been Porsche OEM parts, no cheap crap, all of which I have documents for. I have recently replaced the water pump, which tends to go between 60,000 and 90,000, also the clutch, battery, O2 sensors, brakes and tires all within the last 7k mi.
Tire's are basically new, I am including pics of the tread. I added an aero kit, and spoiler and then new paint when that was added to match everything up so when she's washed and waxed she looks good as new. Replaced the back window for the convert top last month. The removable hard top is included and gives it that hard top look when on. I tend to take it off in the spring then use the hard top in the winter. Wheels have a couple chips in them from the curbs, my plan was to plastic dip then for the black wheel look. I have taken great care of her, feel free to ask me any questions. I put a low reserve good luck bidding. |

Porsche offering short-term loans to Macan waitlisters
Wed, 02 Jul 2014Walk into a Porsche dealer today, place an order for a Macan and you'll be looking at a waiting period of six months or more before you can expect delivery. That may be common enough for high-end European automakers, but the Macan is meant to lure new buyers to the brand, and the waitlist could be enough to deter them from sticking around.
The solution? Offer to lease them a Boxster or Cayman until their new Macan arrives. Shorter in term that the usual new-car lease, these six-month terms are designed to keep buyers from turning their backs, all the while experiencing the kind of vehicle Porsche does best.
Of course it doesn't hurt that the dealer then gets a used sports car to sell again once the short-term lease is up. And we wouldn't be surprised to see some buyers asking to hold on to their mid-engined sports car for a little longer, either.
Watch onboard video of the Porsche 918 Spyder's record 'Ring lap
Tue, 10 Sep 2013"Pics or it didn't happen!" You could almost hear the Internet shouting this when news started to trickle in about a sub-seven-minute Nürburgring lap by the new Porsche 918 Spyder. Well, after an official press release, which we ran earlier today, we have your "pics." Moving pics, to be more exact. Porsche has released on-board footage of the 6:57 lap.
The video, which runs about eight-and-a-half minutes, and shows the 918 from inside the car on a flying lap of the German track. Perhaps what's remarkable is just how undramatic it all looks. Sure, there's some sawing at the wheel from test driver Marc Lieb (one of three testers, including legendary rally king Walter Röhrl), but he makes wrangling the Martini-liveried 918 look kind of easy.
Take a look down below for the full, on-board video, and then click over and read our initial write-up from earlier this morning and take a glance at the more stylized video that Porsche originally posted.
Watch a Cayenne Turbo S, Range Rover SVR, and Cherokee SRT drag race
Thu, Mar 17 2016We live in a weird world where high-performance SUVs could win a 60-mile-per-hour sprint against sports cars from just a few years ago. Here, Top Gear sets up a three-way drag race against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and the results show just how quickly these high-riding models can cross the quarter mile. The Cherokee SRT is the patriotic choice among the three, but it's down on power in this fight. Meanwhile, the Range Rover's menacing growl sounds the best, and the Cayenne Turbo S has the most horsepower. You'll have to watch the video to see which SUV will win this battle. Related Video:
