This car is an all original 1995 Porsche 911 cabriolet. The car has an air cooled 3.6 liter, 3606 cc H6 gas SOHC naturally aspirated engine. This engine is possibly the best 911 motor that Porsche has ever built in regard to reliability and maintenance. This design is the last of the air cooled 911's and has a deep throaty sound when running. Newer porsches do not sound like this car. This car will really run.

The car has a tiptronic transmission which allows you to manually shift on the steering wheel or drive in a more conservative automatic mode which requires no shifting.

The car has a black exterior and cashmere interior. The car has always been garaged. I am the second owner. The car received a new top end in 2008. The brakes and rotors are 1 year old. All 4 tires were replaced 6 months ago. All service records included. The exterior paint is in good condition. The 911's are notorious for road chips on the nose cone. This car has it's share of road chips on the nose cone. The rest of the paint is all original and in good shape. The cashmere leather interior is in fair condition. The carpet still looks new. The engine in this car has always been serviced and is bulletproof. It is very strong and has been a delight to own. All components of the car are in good working condition

I am selling the car because I have changed my career path and work out of state 9 months of the year which does not allow me any time to drive the car.

Features;

Dual exhaust
Tiptronic transmission
Deployable spoiler
Alpine sound system with an amplifier
New tires
New brakes and rotors

Porsche tells 2014 911 GT3 owners to park their cars pending inspection

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Porsche may have have a serious problem on its hands. After a rumored five 2014 911 GT3 coupes caught fire in recent weeks, Porsche launched an investigation and stopped delivering its road-ready racecar until it could diagnose the problem. Now, it has issued a press release asking all 2014 911 GT3 owners to immediately stop driving their cars until they can be inspected. Porsche is offering to pick up the cars from owners' homes and take them to the nearest dealer.
Porsche confirms that the at least two 911 GT3 coupes them have caught fire in Europe, and it has elected to inspect all 785 2014 GT3s worldwide. However, it claims no drivers have been injured in the fires. Unfortunately, Porsche says, "Internal studies to determine the cause of the engine damage have not been completed yet," so owners might have a bit of a wait before they are able to drive Porsche's ultimate 911 again. Porsche 911 with VW turbodiesel prepares for LeMons assault

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

LeMons racing is a wonderful example that setting limits can actually breed creativity. The series mandates that all entries must cost $500, not counting safety equipment, and that cap forces teams to be ingenious in how they build a racecar. Take for example this diesel-powered Porsche 911, which its creators have dubbed Ferkel the Nein-11, that will be racing in the Sears Pointless race this weekend in Sonoma, California.
This Frankenstein combines a 911 chassis that was originally bought just for its European powertrain and a Volkswagen TDI diesel engine mounted in the rear. After deciding the shell could still be of some use, the team decided to go racing. "We began brainstorming what replacement drivetrain to use for maximum offense and there was really only one answer: a diesel," said Philipp von Weitershausen, one of the team captains, to Jalopnik. They bought a 1998 Jetta TDI on the cheap and started figuring out a way to hack the engine into the bay. To pay respect to the donor, the VW's trunk was highly modified (and drilled) and grafted onto the back of Ferkel.
This team isn't a newcomer to LeMons. Its last car was a classic VW Beetle with a Subaru engine and dual controls, named Ferdinand the Bug, which could be driven from the left or right side. It's quite a sight.

Porsche slathers Martini livery on 911, Panamera, Macan and Cayenne

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

This is how we imagine the conversation went in Porsche's Stuttgart headquarters: "Martini livery. Martini livery all the things." Okay, so maybe not, but that hasn't stopped Porsche from showing off images of its entire lineup bearing the iconic racing livery.
While we aren't sure about the questionably yellow 911 and lime green Macan, the navy blue Cayenne and the white Panamera both look pretty spectacular as they lap about the streets of Sochi, Russia.
As for why the liveried sports cars and crossovers were at the site of the 2014 Winter Olympics, we aren't totally sure. Porsche's Facebook page, where the images first popped up, was really light on details. Whatever the reason, we fully support Porsche doing more with Martini livery. Take a look at the full gallery to see what we mean.
