Description:
This is a gorgeous example of a 964. All body lines are straight, and she drives phenomenal. A/C is ice cold and all mechanical functions work as they should. Engine has plenty of power and she was dyno proven for this sale. Interior has no foul odors and has been tastefully redone to retain the factory look. Tires are 80% and all wheels are in fantastic condition. Over 3k invested this past month on engine maintenance. (all receipts will be given to new owner) All new fluids throughout( engine oil / brake fluid/ engine coolant(just kidding its air cooled) Dash is in like new condition. Please take a moment to scroll through our gallery and watch our video, you will truly fall in love with this gorgeous Porsche. This is a Clean Carfax car.

Drivetrain:
Engine and transmission are in perfect working order with plenty of life left. This car put down a whopping 217HP and 212TQ to the wheels on a Mustang Dyno!! If you factor the 12% drivetrain loss we are right on the money with crank horsepower! 250-260HP!!!! Yes it still has all the power it came with back in 1990. Transmission does not slip and holds the power as it should, motor pulls very strong. axle boots are in good condition, all wear components have been gone through. Brake pads are fairly new and have around 70% life left. All fluids are new in this car(engine/Trans/Brake), including new plugs wires, and filters. This is a dependable driver that needs a new home. Fly in and drive it cross country!

Interior:
Interior has been tastefully redone, carpet, door panels and seats all to original specifications. Overall very nice. Dash is perfect, and all gauges function as they should.  This was a non smoking owner. The bonnet has the tool kit and very hard to find Porsche Specific Tire Pump!. all shocks work as they should, and hold all doors correctly.

Exterior:
The exterior has fairly fresh paint, It was resprayed and it was done correctly, all gaskets and trim were removed for the process, the paint shines very well and shows a vibrant gloss as if it was new. Please look at the photos, and you will see what I am talking about. There are minor imperfections due to highway use on the front bonnet, but nothing serious. Sunroof functions perfectly, and there are no signs of rust on this gorgeous 964. Has a 2mm imperfection near the passengers side window gasket, due to carless install when paint was still curing. (I would have to point it out for you to notice it) Overall the paint is very nice. I would rate it a 8-10.

Key Facts:
-It is getting harder and harder to find a 964 with under 100k miles in this condition.
-Motor is strong as shown in our dyno video
-Has several small imperfections on the front bonnet from highway use
-2mm imperfection on passenger rear glass gasket contact.

2015 Porsche Cayman GTS

Thu, 29 May 2014

The Porsche Boxster and Cayman will forever nip at the heels of their big brother, the 911 Carrera, and perpetuating this tradition are the latest GTS variants, which add yet another arrow to the quiver of the plucky mid-engined platform.
The GTS' performance enhancements boost horsepower by a mere 15 and shave a tenth from 0 to 60, but Porsche's clever product planners and engineers have stuck to their familiar formula in making the Cayman GTS more desirable than the Boxster for dyed-in-the-wool performance enthusiasts. More on that shortly.
Laps around Spain's Circuito Mallorca RennArena and the nearby Serra de Tramuntana mountain range would shed further light on how the GTS differentiates itself from lesser Caymans.

2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS prowls into Geneva with biggest NA engine in the 911 range [w/video]

Tue, Mar 3 2015

We've been waiting for the debut of this road-going and race-ready Porsche 911 GT3 RS for quite some time now. As is typical for high-profile sports machines, the new 911 has been foreshadowed with spy shots and information leaks aplenty, all pointing to this grand day at Geneva. Here she is. Just a glance at the duct-sliced bodywork and massive rear wing will tell you that this Porsche means business, but let's look at its bona fides. The heart of the matter, under that short rear deck, is the largest-displacement and most powerful naturally aspirated engine in the 911 family, with 500 horsepower and 338 pound-feet of torque developed by the 4.0-liter flat-six. That hoss of an engine is mated to a newly developed version of Porsche's PDK dual-clutch gearbox – with functions such as "paddle neutral" that effectively works like depressing the clutch on a standard manual, and a Pit Speed button for on the track. Working in concert, engine and trans allow the GT3 RS to sprint to 60 miles per hour in 3.1 seconds, hit a quarter mile in 11.2, and lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife in just seven minutes, 20 seconds. (That 'Ring time makes it the fastest current 911 around the benchmark course, and five seconds faster than the current 911 GT3 – so quick.) Weight has been saved via exotic materials; the car sports a magnesium roof and carbon fiber for the trunk and engine lids. Overall the RS is 22 pounds lighter than the GT3, but also boasts a lower center of gravity. As we said at the top, there's a wide, low and aggressive body kit on the GT3 RS, all engineered with racing performance in mind. That huge rear wing is balanced in the front by a deep chin spoiler, and the front wheel arches have been punctuated with vents that help to increase downforce on the front axle. The roll cage is the most obvious interior modification to let one know that this is a racing tool, but Porsche has also slathered the space in Alcantara and installed carbon-fiber bucket seats (based on those found in the 918 Spyder) to drive the point home. The cost of such racing glory will be steep at $175,900 plus a $995 destination charge, but not out of the scope of the current ask for the 911 range, when you consider that a Turbo S runs over $180k. Look for 911 GT3 RS deliveries to start in July of this year in the US, and for track days to be more competitive for the addition. Le Mans-winning Porsche 956 up for auction at Pebble Beach

Sun, Jun 21 2015

Collectors looking to get their hands on a piece of racing history will want to be in Monterey this August. That's where Gooding & Company will be auctioning off the genuine Le Mans winner you see here. One of the finest examples of the Group C era, this 1982 Porsche 956 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1983 – the eighth time the German marque won the legendary French endurance race, en route to the record seventeenth win it racked up at La Sarthe this year. This 956 was the third of only ten examples made, complete with Rothmans livery and unimpeachable history. It debuted at Le Mans in 1982, where it placed second behind another Rothmans-liveried 956, and went on to win the next four races it entered. The following year, the two Porsches switched places in the winner's circle at Le Mans, securing this car's place in the annals of racing history. Now set to cross the auction block at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Gooding projects this most historically significant Porsche to fetch between $7,000,000 and $9,000,000 once the gavel drops. According to the Sports Car Market database, that would make this the most valuable Porsche ever sold at auction, eclipsing the 1972 Porsche 917/10 Can-Am racer that Mecum sold for $5.83 million in Monterey three years ago. It would also far exceed the ˆ2.35 million ($3.15m) paid at RM's auction in Paris last year for another Rothmans-liveried 956 that completed the 1-2-3 finish at Le Mans in '82. That is, assuming 956 #003 sells this time: the last time it crossed the auction block, it failed to sell after a high bid of $2 million. Le Mans-Winning Rothmans Porsche 956 Roars its Way to Gooding & Company's Pebble Beach Auctions SANTA MONICA, Calif. (June 19, 2015) – Gooding & Company, the official auction house of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance®, is thrilled to announce the addition of one of the most important and desirable competition cars of all time to its Pebble Beach Auctions. The 1982 Porsche 956, chassis 003, was the outright winner of the 1983 24 Hours of Le Mans and the most successful example of this revolutionary and dominating series of Group C cars. The sale of this factory Porsche racing machine presents an incredible opportunity to own a significant piece of motorsport history and it is sure to be a highlight of Gooding & Company's internationally renowned auction, taking place on August 15 and 16, 2015 in Pebble Beach, California.
