1990 PORSCHE 911, BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM A FRIEND, HE USED IT ON THE WEEKENDS ONLY, VERY LOW MILES FOR THE YEAR. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES THE CAR HAD AN ELECTRICAL FIRE FROM THE ALTERNATOR. ALL THE PLASTICS, AIR INTAKE, CABLES, WERE BURNT(SEE PICTURES). HE DIDNT WANT TO REPAIR IT SO HE SOLD IT TO ME, I HAVE HAD THE PORSCHE SINCE SUMMER OF 2012 AND HAVENT HAD THE MONEY OR TIME TO REPAIR IT. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A FRIENDS SHOP, THE DRIVE BELTS TURNED WHEN TAKING IT OFF THE TOW TRUCK. GOOD SIGN.... I HOOKED THE BATTERY AND IT ALL LIGHT UP. THE ELECTRIC TOP WORKS GOOD, ALL WINDOWS WORK, RADIO WORKS, ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH TURN ON. THE INTERIOR IS IMPECCABLE, NO TEARS, NO STAINS, CARPET IN GOOD SHAPE. HAS BOOKS, SPARE, TOOLS, OVER ALL IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. I HAD A MECHANIC SPECIALIZES IN GERMAN CARS CHECK THE MOTOR AND HE SAYS BY REPLACING HARNESS AND ALL PLASTIC COMPONENTS THE MOTOR SHOULD BE READY TO START. AS YOU CAN SEE VERY MINOR BODY WORK IS REQUIRED SUCH AS REAR BUMPER, THE REST IS SANDING, AND PAINT. IT HAS A CLEAR TITLE. I HAVE THE CAR LISTED LOCALLY, I HAVE RIGHT TO REMOVE LISTING IF I SELL IT, BEFORE ITS DUE. LOOK AT PICTURES IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK.....EVEN BETTER CALL ME OR TEXT ME AT (281) 669-7340 CARLOS........THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. |

Porsche 911 GT3 RS ends up in canal near dealership
Wed, Mar 30 2016All new Porsches are cooled by water. That's just the way it is now, and no amount of purist moaning is going to change it. But when it comes to a water-cooled Porsche, this stretches the limits. This Gulf-livery-themed 911 GT3 RS had its nose deposited in a canal outside Porsche of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. There's a water hazard joke to be made here. According to a Google translation, the dealership's owner is blaming a mechanic for the mistake, while adding the damage isn't fatal to the ultra-rare 911. That has to be at least partially because the heart of this beast – the 4.0-liter, 500-horsepower flat-six engine – sits at the far rear of the car. Hopefully, that means damage is limited to just the body, brakes, and suspension. While it's hard to tell from the angle of this photo, the rear-engine layout may also be what kept more of the car from going in the drink – it seems possible a front-engine car may have been submerged. Petrolicious profiles the rare Italian Porschephile
Wed, Sep 9 2015If you're Italian, you love Ferrari. It's almost a national requirement. If not Ferrari, then Lamborghini, or if you're a bit contrarian, perhaps Alfa Romeo or Maserati. This common belief, though, flies in the face of Rosita Corato's devotion to a certain unique Porsche. Despite growing up around cars from Italy's most treasured automakers, Rosita's family of coachbuilders had a passion for Porsche. This love was fostered by her father, who made a living repairing Ferraris. Despite his work, he'd longed for a rear-engined German, finally picking up a 1959 356 Speedster that was in desperate need of restoration. Rosita describes it as "practically a heap of metal" before her masterful metalworking father got to work on it. While it was originally meant to be a racer, it could best be described today as a restomod, and Rosita still uses it regularly on rallies. The engine and brakes have been upgraded, while the ratios on the manual transmission have been tightened up for improved performance. To save weight – remember, Rosita's father wanted a racer – the doors and hood were replaced with aluminum units, while other aesthetic upgrades were made as well, such as moving the fuel access up onto the hood. Check out Rosita's gorgeous 356 Speedster in the very latest episode from the team at Petrolicious. Related Video:
Lightspeed Classic 911 rocks out with its sprockets out
Thu, Sep 3 2015Singer does a pretty damn good job re-imagining the Porsche 911, but the faithful will aptly tell you that it's not the only name in the business. Munich-based Autoaktiv Motorsport also does a pretty compelling rendition of the classic German sports car. It's called the Lightspeed Classic, and this video clip casts it in light as good as we've ever seen. The brainchild of former Porsche engineer Ralf Skatulla, the Lightspeed Classic is based on the 964 but upgrades some key components while keeping the classic style. Power comes from a 3.8-liter flat-six from the 964 RS (albeit rebuilt with titanium components) that's been retuned to deliver 340 horsepower. It's got the gearbox from a 996 Turbo, the clutch from a 997 GT3 RS, and the brakes from a 996 GT3 Cup, along with Michelin Pilot Sport rubber coating a set of Fuchs-style BBS alloys. The result, as you can see, is lovely. Especially with Tim Schrick behind the wheel. The German racing driver is also a television personality, co-hosting D Motor – Germany's equivalent to Top Gear – alongside Sabine Schmitz and Carsten van Ryssen. Which is all well and fine, but what you really want to do is scope out the footage for yourself. If you dig Porsches (or even if you don't), it'll probably be the best 49 seconds you'll spend all day. Related Video:
