About 2 years ago we sold this car to one of our clients, he really enjoyed the car but decided that the time had come to get something more modern. He’s now driving his Cayman, so it’s time to sell the ’77.

The body and paint were done many years ago to a very high standard. This isn’t a car that was put together a few months ago. It had a complete motor re-build prior to us selling the car the first time and only has a few thousand miles on it.

The car runs great, doesn’t smoke and is relatively leak free. It drives very nicely and the transmission shifts great. All the gauges work, including the clock. The car is rust free and the paint is very nice.

This car commands attention and is a conversation starter wherever it goes.

If you want the Turbo Look without all the expense, look no further!

What's the deal with all these Porsches Seinfeld is selling?

Mon, Feb 8 2016

In case you haven't been able to tell from watching Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, Jerry Seinfeld is as fanatical about automobiles as he is about comedy. The man has one of the most enviable Porsche collections in the world. But now he's preparing to auction off a significant share of them, and Gooding & Company, the auction house handling the sale, has just released the full list. We got our first look at some of them a couple of weeks ago, including a 550 Spyder, a 356 Speedster, and a 911 IROC RSR – all of them valued in the millions. But that's only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Other Porsches from the Seinfeld collection set to cross the auction block include a 917/30 Can-Am Spyder, a 718 RSK, a Carrera GT prototype and a 962C racer. There are old and new 911s aplenty, a handful of 356s, even a 597 Jagdwagen and a couple of 1960s VWs thrown in for good measure. You can scope out the full list in the press release below and view some of them in the gallery above. And if you have the funds and the inclination, Amelia Island will be the place to be next month. Here's hoping it all works out better for the proud new owners than that time George thought he had bought Jon Voight's Chrysler LeBaron. This content is hosted by a third party. Gooding & Company Reveals the Complete List of Collector Cars To Be Offered from Jerry Seinfeld's Collection at the Amelia Island Auction Porsche Highlights from Jerry Seinfeld's Collection Include the 1973 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am Spyder and the 1959 Porsche 718 RSK SANTA MONICA, Calif. (February 5, 2016) – Gooding & Company, the auction house acclaimed for selling the world's most significant and valuable collector cars, is honored to announce the full selection of consignments from The Jerry Seinfeld Collection to be sold at the Amelia Island Auction on March 11, 2016. Enthusiasts and collectors will not want to miss this historic event as these superb examples cross the auction block. "Mr. Seinfeld is recognized throughout the world as having acquired one of the finest Porsche collections ever assembled," said David Gooding, President and Founder of Gooding & Company. "He has become known as the definitive Porsche connoisseur based on his passion and devotion to the marque. We at Gooding & Company share his reverence for Porsche and are proud to offer these truly incredible examples.

Jay Leno's Dodge Challenger raises $585k for USO in Scottsdale

Mon, Jan 19 2015

Of all the metal moved in Scottsdale, AZ, this holiday weekend, the one you see here was hardly the most expensive. But it's noteworthy for another reason: despite being a relatively humble, second-hand 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8, raised an impressive $565,625. That's because, first of all, it belonged to Jay Leno, and secondly because the proceeds were going to the USO. Leno donated the modern muscle car from his collection to benefit our men and women in uniform, and was on hand to present the car on stage at the Gooding & Company auction, along with USO president J.D. Crouch II and former Army chief of staff General George W. Casey, Jr. After frenzied and patriotic bidding, the gavel ultimately dropped at $360,000, accompanied by over $200,000 in additional contributions, bringing the total amount donated to the USO to over half a million. Commendable though it was, of course the Challenger didn't garner the highest bids at the auction. A 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider sold for $7.7 million and a 1968 Ferrari 330 GTS fetched $2.4 million. A rare 1962 Ferrari 400 Superamerica Series I Coupe Aerodinamico sold for over $4,070,000 – which, according to Sports Car Market, is the most ever paid at auction for a 400 Superamerica. And a 1966 Porsche 906 Carrera 6 also sold for a record $1.98 million. Best new convertibles for 2024 and 2025

Thu, Jan 25 2024

If you’re here, then youÂ’re already in the right mindset. Convertibles rule, and we have all the best convertibles listed for you further below. Driving around with the top off is an experience you need to live to fall in love with. When the weatherÂ’s right, youÂ’re on a proper bit of road, and the car youÂ’re in is a good one, few automotive experiences can top it. The experience is extra special when you have a musical exhaust note filtering directly into your ears and echoing off the landscape around you. And while rolling the windows down and opening a moonroof can get you part of the way there, it's nothing like feeling the wind wash over you with absolutely no roof overhead. The downsides can be just as harsh as the upsides when youÂ’re in the wrong conditions, though. Convertibles are typically worse to live with in cold climates, and driving around with the top up frequently means you might be subject to more road noise and worse visibility than an equivalent coupe. And when it comes to pure performance, convertibles are inherently compromised from a weight and structural rigidity perspective. All that said, we still think the upsides outweigh the compromises if your number one objective is to simply have fun. ItÂ’s a good thing then that there are a ton of great convertibles for sale these days. And no, the list of possibilities isnÂ’t as long as it used to be. Long-running standbys like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and C-Class Convertibles are gone (replaced by the one CLE-Class). And so are others like the Audi TT Roadster, Fiat 124 Spider and Nissan Z Roadster. Nevertheless, opportunities abound from the ultra-cheap and fun, to physics-defying supercars and everything else in between. WeÂ’ll give you options for which new convertibles we think are the best below, so read on to find out.   Mazda MX-5 Miata Pros: Lightweight and compact; great engine and transmission combo; one of the most raw and pure driving experiences out thereCons: Not great for tall people; infotainment is dated; tiny trunk Read our Mazda MX-5 Miata Review Miata is always the answer, right? In this case, that rings even more true than usual. In fact, you could stop reading this list right here and go buy a Miata and youÂ’d likely be just as happy driving it around as you would be in any of the more expensive offerings that follow. ThatÂ’s just the magic of the MX-5.
