1965 Porsche 356 C 1600 Sc All Matching Numbers In Good Condition on 2040-cars
Los Angeles, California, United States
Take a look at this 1965 Porsche 356 C 1600 SC with all matching numbers! I'm listing this vehicle for my father, and we are selling it as is. My father has owned this Porsche for 11 years, and it has been parked nearly the entire 11 years. The vehicle was running when he parked it, and it needed the top end rebuilt when he purchased it back in 2002. This Porsche is entirely original and all the numbers match. It has never been hit and is unmolested. The paint is cracked due to age, but there is no body rust on the vehicle, except for some rust near the battery compartment. The vehicle is registered as non-op status in California, and is located near the Glendale/Pasadena area of California. This vehicle is ready for full restoration and enjoyment! All posted pictures were taken on 10/27/2013. Please feel free to ask questions, and we will respond as quickly as possible. Seller offers no guarantees/warranties. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up and/or shipping. Local pick-up preferred, but we are willing to work with any pick-up/shipping method at the buyer's expense. Ships to U.S. only. (Please disregard Ebay notice of worldwide shipping because the shipping policy maker is not reflecting the correct data I entered for U.S. shipping only). $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal is due within 24 hours of auction end. Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end to arrange full payment and transportation details. Full payment is due within 3 days of auction end. The vehicle will be released only after full remaining payment is made. We will accept cash, personal check, or cashier's check as payment. All funds must clear prior to delivery of the vehicle. Proof the world revolves around the Porsche Cayman
Sat, 27 Apr 2013Or at least the world revolves underneath the Porsche Cayman, in the latest video showing off Stuttgart's mid-engine coupe. Porsche put an Easter egg in the world that spins triple-time, a "famous relative" of the Cayman hidden somewhere on the marble planet, and gave a Porsche Martini bag to one of the first 50 people who could point it out.
With more than 300 views there's no chance you'll win the bag, but you can still go on the treasure hunt in the video below.
A few pre-race notes and a lot of photos from the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Sat, 14 Jun 2014The 82nd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is on.
Audi has won 12 of the last 15 events, the scion of Auto Union is trying to make it 13 this year. To do so, it will have to overcome a situation faced only three other times during its dominance of La Sarthe: underdog status. Toyota has won the first two races of the year and claimed pole for this race, the rumor being that this year it's Toyota's race to lose.
And then there's Porsche. It's been 16 years since the Stuttgart brand raced on the top rung at Le Mans, three years years since it announced its return, just a year since it acquired Mark Webber in a signing that wasn't subtle and a few months since we got eyes on the 919 Hybrid.
Former Porsche CEO Wiedeking indicted over VW takeover bid
Thu, 20 Dec 2012Do you recall the failed efforts by Porsche to take over Volkswagen? According to a Bloomberg report, former Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking (above) and ex-CFO Holger Haerter have finally been charged with market manipulation over the exercising of options as part of the German sportscar manufacturer's ill-fated attempt to take over the much larger VW. That failed bid eventually resulted in the reverse coming true - VW swallowing Porsche.
The charges leveled by Stuttgart prosecutors come after a three-year investigation centered around allegations that Porsche execs made a concerted effort to increase the company's share in VW to 75 percent in preparation for a hostile takeover. Porsche had previously told its investors on at least five occasions that it had no intention to buy VW.
Portions of the investigation have subsided, according to prosecutors, citing an inability to prove certain improprieties with a "necessary degree of certainty." The number of charges is down to 5 from a previous 14 counts regarding "information-based market manipulation."
