You are bidding on a two owner, numbers matching, 1963 Super 90 Coupe (S/N 210988). The mileage is actual. The car was originally Black exterior, red interior. It has been painted only once, the

present yellow shown. At the time of painting, the only body work done/required was a small floor patch under the accelerator pedal and the replacement of the battery box floor, from the usual acid
corrosion. The car is/was otherwise quite dent and rust free, and has been stored indoors for the last 35 years. The certificate of Authenticity lists the engine as # 805590 and the transmission as
56744 (741/2A) which agree with the case castings. The transmission is listed as having a limited slip differential. To the best of our knowledge it has never been apart and the condition of it is thus
unknown. The vehicle also has the camber compensator that was standard feature with S-90s. It is 98% complete parts-wise and basically needs reassembly.

The engine was disassembled by the first owner due to a rod knock. While apart, his mechanic dropped one of the pistons, breaking its skirt (see photo). At that point, living in the "boonies", and not
being able to procure the proper replacement piston, he gave up in frustration, never putting the engine back together and selling the vehicle instead.  A new proper sized piston was eventually obtained
and the crankshaft was reworked and nitrided by Competition Engineering at first under on all journals. The alloy cylinders have almost no discernible wear. Bearings are included with the crank. New
wrist pins bushings need to be fitted to the rods. Rings are available for the pistons, so with lots and lots of cleaning, the engine should go back together fairly readily, without great parts expense.

The interior is done with correct square weave carpet and a new headliner. The seats were properly recovered. The vinyl is soft, but they feel rather firm when sat upon, so one may need/wish to
re-do the under-padding. The chrome on the seat mechanisms is in excellent condition. The same cannot be said of the window frames, which will ultimately need to be re-chromed, but all the parts
are there. The original radio and speakers with their grills are part of the package. The tinted windshield is new. The bumpers are straight and painted. It has its original muffler, all the exhaust and
sheet metal components. As per the photos, there are many new parts that come with the vehicle, such as bumper guards, headlight assemblies, lenses, a full kit of all the rubber parts, etc..

As indicated previously, the body is in great condition with none of the usual collision, rust and and panel replacement issues. There is one item to disclose and that is the painter/body-man chose to be
creative without asking and decided that even though it had never had any hood damage, the mounting points for it should be strengthened to keep that from happening. If one looks carefully, the
gussets he added to the hood can be seen in the photos. It certainly is possible to remove them if one is striving for a concours car, but for the moment, out of practicality they have been left in place.

Without a high lift and having a limited number of images available on this web-site, there are no photos of the underside, but rust and dents are definitely not an issue, only the annoyance of overspray.  :(
There are also more boxes of parts than the photo space for this listing will allow.

This is yet another stalled restoration, but at least most everything is there and mainly needs one with the time and dedication to bring it to completion.

Vehicle is also listed locally and subject to prior sale.

Trump calls Germans 'very bad,' vows to stop their car sales in US

Fri, May 26 2017

TAORMINA, Italy -Talks between President Trump and other leaders of the world's rich nations at the G7 summit on Friday were expected to be "robust" and "challenging" after he had lambasted NATO allies and condemned Germans as "very bad" for their trade policies. Trump's confrontational remarks in Brussels, on the eve of the two-day summit in the Mediterranean resort town of Taormina, cast a pall over a meeting at which America's partners had hoped to coax him into softening his stances on trade and climate change. According to German media reports, Trump condemned Germany as "very bad" for its trade policies in a meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, signaling he might take steps to limit sales of German cars in the United States. "The Germans are bad, very bad," he reportedly told Juncker. "Look at the millions of cars that they're selling in the USA. Horrible. We're gonna stop that." White House economic adviser Gary Cohn on Friday confirmed the reports. "He said they're very bad on trade, but he doesn't have a problem with Germany." Cohn said Trump had pointed out during the meeting that his father had German roots in order to underscore the message that he had nothing against the German people. Trump's spokesman Sean Spicer said Trump had "tremendous respect" for Germany and had only complained about unfair trade practices in the meeting. Juncker called the reports in Spiegel Online and Sueddeutsche Zeitung exaggerated. The reports translated "bad" with the German word "boese," which can also mean "evil," leading to confusion when English-language media translated the German reports back into English. "The record has to be set straight," Juncker said, noting that the translation issue had exaggerated the seriousness of what Trump had said. "It's not true that the president took an aggressive approach when it came to the German trade surplus." "He said, like others have, that (the United States) has a problem with the German surplus. So he was not aggressive at all," Juncker added. In January, Trump threatened to slap a 35 percent tax on German auto imports. "If you want to build cars in the world, then I wish you all the best. You can build cars for the United States, but for every car that comes to the USA, you will pay 35 percent tax," he said. "I would tell BMW that if you are building a factory in Mexico and plan to sell cars to the USA, without a 35 percent tax, then you can forget that." Last year, the U.S.

Russian President Putin's new limo makes debut ahead of 2017 production

Tue, Apr 5 2016

What's the best way to ignore an international money-laundering scandal that's allegedly revealed your link to $2 billion in off-shore accounts? Why yes, you get a new car. While information from the so-called Panama Papers is still being uncovered, Russian President Vladimir Putin's new Russian-made ride has been unveiled. Unlike US President Barack Obama's Cadillac-badged Beast, Putin's Kortezh will be available to any Russian that has the means. A total of 5,000 will be built in four different styles – limo, sedan, SUV, and minivan – although only 200 will roll off production lines next year, Sputnik News reports. Deliveries are expected to start in late 2017, while assembly will carry on through 2020, the Moscow Times reports. Commerce and Industry Minister Denis Mantrurov confirmed that Porsche has been brought in to help develop the Kortezh's powertrain. Whether that engine ends up being the turbocharged V12 we reported on way back in October 2014 isn't clear, though. Regardless of what's sitting under that long hood, we're betting it's going to be extremely powerful. Putin will likely take delivery of the Kortezh in 2017. Related Video:

Top 11 Lego Technic cars to buy on Amazon in 2024

Mon, Jan 22 2024

Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. I recently got a birthday wish list from my 11-year-old nephew, and I couldn't help but smile when I saw “Lego Technic Cars” at the top. Lego isnÂ’t a phase, itÂ’s a lifestyle. Once a Lego fan, always a Lego fan. In fact, IÂ’d be willing to bet that many of you reading this right now have some kind of Lego vehicle in a box somewhere, or better yet, on display in your home. While theyÂ’re not necessarily cheap, getting into building Lego Technic vehicles doesnÂ’t have to bankrupt you, either, unless you go for the $400 Lamborghini right off the bat. Here are 11 of our favorite Lego Technic vehicles on Amazon, right now, ranging from an affordable $35 all the way up to $450. LEGO Technic Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Ages 9+ (544 Pieces) - $39.99 (20% off) One of my first and favorite model cars growing up was a first-gen Ford Mustang GT350, so this GT500 for under $40 is right up my alley. At 544 pieces and made for ages 9 and up, the GT500 is a considerable step up from Grave Digger but a great starter to a Technic collection nonetheless. It isnÂ’t the most accurate-looking vehicle in this list, but the AR app and the fact that it can drive make it a worthwhile purchase. $39.99 at Amazon LEGO Technic Formula E Porsche 99X Electric Ages 9+ (422 Pieces) - $49.99 Not a Ford fan? Not a problem. This Formula E Porsche 99X is the same price and better looking than the GT500. Even though there are 122 fewer pieces in this Porsche set, it has a level of detail seen in much more expensive Technic sets including numerous decals and a pull back motor.  $49.99 at Amazon LEGO Technic Jeep Wrangler Ages 9+ (665 Pieces) - $54.99 This is the set I ended up going with for my nephew, not because I think it is the coolest, but because for the price, I think you get the most bang for your buck. 665 pieces is over 50% more than the comparatively priced Porsche 99X and it also scratches the nostalgia itch for me: The first-ever model vehicle I built was a yellow Jeep Wrangler Sahara. This Wrangler Rubicon has definitely had some aftermarket mods like the front winch, which makes it one of the coolest Technic sets under $60.  $54.99 at Amazon LEGO Technic Monster Jam Grave Digger Ages 7+ (212 Pieces) - $34.16 If ever there was a gateway Lego Technic, this Grave Digger is it.
