For Sale:     1999 Pontiac Trans Am.   |   90,XXX on the dash.   |    Clean Title.   |    No Accidents.   |     I am the 4th Owner.

WARNING! This black beauty is quite the head turner! In fact, you may sprain peoples necks because they stare so hard when you rumble by! People will ask if you're batman and if this is your bat-mobile. You will also get tons of complements and people will constantly pull up beside you wanting to race. And if you're super lucky, you might even be able to pick up a couple ladies ;) If you don't like any of that, then this car is not for you.

This Trans Am features:

350 LS1 5.7 V8 Engine (305HP)
6 Speed Manual Transmission
WS6 Ram Air Hood
T-tops (don't leak)
17" Chrome Boss 304s
12.5% Tinted Windows
DoubleDin CD Deck w/ bluetooth (can play tunes wirelessly from your smartphone)
2 -12" Infinity Subwoofers w/ Amp

Minor Issues:

Manual stick bezel needs to be replaced
Passenger side skirt has some minor scratches (could easily be buffed out)
SES light is on (O2 Sensor needs to be replaced)
Windows have some sort of shortage. They will randomly work/not work. (might be a fuse?)
Driver's seat has a tiny tear
Passenger headlight needs to be repainted

All of the issues listed above are relatively small issues that can easily be fixed. I simply do not have the time nor space (garage) to fix them.
Please keep in mind that the car is 15 years old, so naturally it will have some tiny dings/dents/straches...but nothing out of normal wear and tear unless otherwise listed above.

This Trans Am is rust free and has been stored every winter and I know the same goes for the previous 3 owners before me.
Please note: I am not in a need to sell this nor do I need the money. Please don't waste your or my time.  Serious offers only.  Have your financing prepared BEFORE you bid/offer.

Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Check out the video to see how this pint-size Pontiac performs.
