1998 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air Convertible 5.7l Ls1 on 2040-cars
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States
Ive had alot of trouble uploading pictures on the previous listing so if it doesn't sell this time im going to sell it to a friend on payments . Ive priced this car to sell fast as i won it on Ebay a couple months ago for $8500 plus I put alot of money into it for my wife & we haven't even driven it yet . I found her another WS6 in Illinois with 32,000 miles on it for $14,000 so i bought it & therefore do not need this one . The car has had new premium wiper blades added $25 & new BF Goodrich G Force Tires & Alignment $775 & New Headlight Motors $150 & New High Beams & Low Beams $160 & New Window Tint $160 & a New Antenna Assembly for $125 & FlowMaster Muffler $100 & New Interior Speakers $300 . I have reciepts for everything but those prices are off the top off my head so they are close but not exact . The car literally runs & drives & rides like a brand new car . The interior is in incredible condition & the body is flawless with no dents or dings . The paint is in average condition for a 16 year old Trans Am with minor swirls except on the back trunk deck that has some bigger scratches on top . If they bother you then you could have it painted for cheap because the rest of the car doesnt need to be painted . I had the whole car buffed out & paintless dent repaired for about $500 so it really looks good . I would trust this car to drive anywhere . Im very confident that you can't find a better deal than on this car if you want a LS1 powered Trans Am . I have a 1999 WS6 with 34,000 miles on it & a 2002 Camaro SS with 64,000 miles & this car with 103,000 miles runs & drives just as good or better than them . Im sure im leaving some stuff out so if you have anymore questions please contact me at 317-603-2217 . No emails please as i dont get internet service at home .

GM issues four new recalls, 2.4 million cars affected
Tue, 20 May 2014General Motors has announced another set of recalls, covering some 2.42 million cars in the United States. For those keeping track, The General has now recalled over 15 million cars worldwide this year due to various issues.
Here's the breakdown for this most recent set of recalls:
1,339,355 - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia models from the 2009 to 2014 model years; Saturn Outlook models from the 2009 to 2010 model years
How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car
Fri, 17 Oct 2014Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Check out the video to see how this pint-size Pontiac performs.
GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes
Mon, 31 Mar 2014When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
