1985 Pontiac Trans Am rolling project car.  This car is a project with no motor or transmission.  Everything else is in tact.  The odometer is showing 21,000 so I'm assuming its 121,000.  The car has a blue exterior which is very solid with no rust or rot.  Front facia/nose cone has a few bumps and bruises.  The gray interior of the car is all there but worn.  Seats have rips/tears and the car needs carpet.  Factory t top car with limited power options.  More of a show n go!  Car was originally a 350 automatic car.  This vehicle is a project with a clear Michigan title! If you don't understand the meaning or concept of a project car, stop reading and move onto the next ad to save wasting my time and yours.  You are bidding to win the car.  Not the option to come inspect it and decide.  With that being said, personal inspection of the vehicle is strongly encouraged and can be done by making an appointment prior to auctions end.  Car is being sold in an AS IS, AS PICTURED, WHERE IS condition.  Prefer local pickup but will assist and work with your shipper to get the car to its destination in one piece and in the same condition it left in.  I do reserve the right to end this auction at any time as well as reject/cancel any bids for any reason I deem necessary.  If it sounds like I've been around the block once or twice I have and don't have time to deal with ding a lings.  If your sitting there scratching your head wondering what is this guy talking about, I'm more then likely referring to you.  Car is being sold in a NO RESERVE AUCTION with a reasonable BUY IT NOW option with bonus for opting to use the buy it now.

Pontiac Firebird in latest Generation Gap scrap

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

Generation Gap is mining the Lingenfelter collection again this week to compare two very different interpretations of the Pontiac Firebird. An original 1968 example goes toe-to-toe with a 2010 Lingenfelter Trans Am to see whether the old man or the modern re-imagining takes the crown.
Being from the Lingenfelter collection, both cars are absolutely immaculate. The '68 packs a Pontiac 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) V8 with a claimed 320 horsepower and some classic, muscular style with a hood-mounted tach. Plus, it's painted in an understated shade of green that you don't usually see.
In the other corner is Lingenfelter's pumped-up take on the classic shape based on the modern Camaro, and this is just one of six concept versions ever made. It wears an eye-catching, vintage-inspired livery of blue with a white stripe package. Under its shaker hood is a 455-cubic-inch (7.5-liter) V8 with a reported 655 hp and 610 pound-feet of torque.

NHTSA investigating 550k Pontiac G6 models, 320k Honda Odysseys

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

According to two separate reports in The Detroit News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching investigations into 550,000 Pontiac G6 (pictured above) and 320,000 Honda Odyssey (pictured right) models. The G6 models are all from the 2005 to 2007 model years, while the Odyssey minivans are from the 2003 and 2004 model years. The two NHTSA probes are not related.
In the case of the G6, this is an upgrade to an original investigation that started in February after NHTSA received "hundreds of reports" that the brake lights on these cars may malfunction. According to The Detroit News, the lights may come on when the brake pedal is not depressed, and likewise, the brake lights may not illuminate when the pedal has been pushed. General Motors was able to provide NHTSA with a significant number of warranty claims, including 1,100 reports that could potentially relate to this problem, one of which indicates a vehicle crash.
For Honda, the NHTSA probe concerns airbags that may deploy unexpectedly. The government agency received six complaints from 2003-04 Odyssey owners saying that the front airbags suddenly went off without a crash. The Detroit News reports that three of the six owners sustained injuries from these incidents. Additionally, NHTSA has received 41 complaints from owners saying the vehicle's airbag warning light had illuminated.
