1979 TRANS AM, BLACK AND GOLD SPECIAL EDITION, 110,000 MILES, T-TOPS, AUTOMATIC, ORIGINAL GOLD SNOWFLAKE WHEELS, 400 PONTIAC ENGINE. RUNS AWESOME! OR SHOULD I SAY, LIKE A SCALDED DOG!!!
THE CAR ORIGINALLY CAME WITH A 305 ENGINE AND THE ORIGINAL OWNER THOUGHT IT WAS TOO SLOW AND CHANGED IT WITH A 400 PONTIAC . SHE IS VERY FAST!

SHE IS A TRUE HEAD TURNER EVERY WHERE SHE GOES!!! BESIDES, ANYONE CAN BUY A NEW CAMARO, HOW DIFFERENT IS THAT? EVERYONE AND HIS BROTHER HAS ONE OF THOSE..HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU KNOW WITH ONE OF THESE? SHE WILL GO UP IN VALUE EVERYDAY!  It is rare to find one of these car that is originally black and gold and this one is!

PAINT JOB IS ONE YEAR OLD (Not perfect but looks pretty good)  It was a $5,000.00 paint job.
TIRES ARE FAIRLY NEW ALSO
NEW DECALS
TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT LAST SUMMER
NEW ALUMINUM RADIATOR
NEW DASH

NEW SONY 6X9 SPEAKERS IN THE BACK WINDOW (1200 WATT SONY XPLODE AMP IN THE TRUNK)
NEW CARPET just to name some of the items.

NO RUST OR BONDO! COMES WITH PHS PAPERWORK ON THE CAR, ALSO, I AM INCLUDING SOME EXTRA TAILLIGHTS, AND THE A/C COMPRESSOR PART FOR THE CAR( the car originally came with air but the parts under the hood are not installed) I also bought the paint to touch up the engine and the gold on the wheels, you can have that too. I will also throw in another stereo (A NICE JVC) with the car. The one in it, sounds descent because of the subwoofer and amp in the trunk but will sound better with the nicer stereo i will include. I could just never bring myself to cut the dash for the new stereo.  I AM ALSO INCLUDING A NEW FUEL PUMP I BOUGHT BUT NEVER NEEDED.  It has original trans am floor mats that sell for over a hundred bucks on ebay by themselves.

JUST SPENT OVER $2000 BUCKS ON IT GETTING A WINDOW REPLACED, TRANSMISSION REBUILT ABOUT YEAR AGO AND SOME NEW DECALS .

NOW FOR THE BAD.....I WILL LIST EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF THAT THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE PERFECT AND CAR SHOW READY.
ALL MAJOR WORK HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE TO THIS CAR. I HAVE SPENT OVER $17,000 TOTAL ON IT, AND SHE IS VERY RELIABLE!!!!!

seatbelts are kinda in poor condition and in need of repair, or just replace with new ones.
front drivers seat is coming apart at the seams
horn doesnt blow (dont need a horn if you have antique tags, which i do)
temp and oil guage doesnt work (fuel, speedometer and tach works tho)
the brakes need to be bled i think (car still stops pretty good tho)
the wheels look good from a distance, but could use some polishing
engine needs to be repainted to be in show condition
the heater doesn't work (i think its something simple)
passenger door is sticking and sometimes wont open from the inside
New dash put on, but the glue sent with it didn't hold it down so it needs to come off and be reglued with stronger glue.
The bumpers are not metal so therefore should've been prepped better, due to some cracking in the paint.  Not bad enough to ruin the looks of this beautiful car.
The car has power windows with a new switch installed and a new passenger window motor put in.  The window stopped rolling down about 2 days after it was installed.  I think its a bad connection but haven't had time to take door panel off and research it.

So all that being said, don't buy this car if you expect it to be perfect.  It needs some tweaking to be perfect but all MAJOR WORK HAS BEEN DONE!  It is cold natured when you first start it, but after that it runs excellent and i would drive it to California and back!  It is very reliable!  I know i will regret the sell of this car later, but right now i really need the money.

According to Nada bluebook value system, my car qualifies for the average retail price which is $20,520.00 at present time. The value is steadily going up on this car and will continue to climb. Pontiacs are not made anymore and this is a highly collectible car!

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.

GM doing fine at retaining Pontiac owners

Fri, 28 Oct 2011

This isn't the first time we've reported positive news about General Motors retaining former Pontiac owners. Get a few more stories like this latest report from Edmund's Auto Observer, and it will mark an ongoing positive trend for GM. Edmunds.com crunched the numbers to see how well the General is hanging on to customers after shutting out the lights at Pontiac, and it found that nearly 40 percent of Pontiac owners stayed with a vehicle from a General Motors brand.
The numbers are a little lower than an earlier R.L. Polk & Company study, but Edmunds says General Motors is keeping more former Pontiac buyers than it has since 2007. Most are turning to vehicles from Chevrolet, especially during January and February of 2011, when GM incentivized Pontiac owners to stay under the umbrella. Those moves seem to have worked, and 28.1 percent of Pontiac owners trading up made the jump into a Bowtie.
Buyers that have gone elsewhere have largely stayed loyal to Domestic automakers, with Ford picking up the most conquests from Pontiac, with 9.4 percent switching. Toyota and Honda picked up 7.4 percent of the pool of former Pontiac drivers. The numbers are defying any predictions that Pontiac buyers would completely exit the General Motors fold, and have climbed up closer to parity with the retention figures of other GM brands from a 2009 low of only 16 percent retention.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
