I have a 1979 10th anniversary Trans Am. This is a 403 car with a t400.
Here is the brake down about the car;
My company restored this car 5 years ago. It was taken down to bare metal and started from there. This is a rust free car and has no bondo. Everything on the car has been metal worked. The car was painted with PPG 2005 dodge silver. My customer's daughter, who was 16 at the time, wrecked the front end of the car 2 times and we put it back together. The last time we never got it painted before she blew up the motor by racing it. I then bought the car and was going to fix it up for my son. Well, my son doesn't want it. I then had another one come into the shop that needed parts. This car is a roller.
The car has every body panel
All the new glass
Shaker hood and scoop
I have some used stuff from the car. We are putting the parts on for the inside dash door panels and so on. I will try to make the car complete as I can. There is no motor or trans that is coming with the car but if you looking to put it back to a 403 car I do have a trans I will sell along with other parts that were made for the car. I also have the seats that where custom made for the car and I will sell them for extra. You are bidding on the car as a roller with a clean clear title. I do have a dash and gauges for the car but the rest of the parts inside are out of a different car and are in ok shape. If you want to know more you can email me.
I'm putting pic's of the car the way it was when it was done by us so you can see it's worth the save. This car has won over 36 trophies it's first year being done. Really I would like to see it crushed because its been a thorn in my side because I have watched my work get damage many times over the last 5 years. This is a great fast start of a cool car. You have no rust to repair and no body work to do just needs paint scuff it and shoot!

GM doing fine at retaining Pontiac owners
Fri, 28 Oct 2011This isn't the first time we've reported positive news about General Motors retaining former Pontiac owners. Get a few more stories like this latest report from Edmund's Auto Observer, and it will mark an ongoing positive trend for GM. Edmunds.com crunched the numbers to see how well the General is hanging on to customers after shutting out the lights at Pontiac, and it found that nearly 40 percent of Pontiac owners stayed with a vehicle from a General Motors brand.
The numbers are a little lower than an earlier R.L. Polk & Company study, but Edmunds says General Motors is keeping more former Pontiac buyers than it has since 2007. Most are turning to vehicles from Chevrolet, especially during January and February of 2011, when GM incentivized Pontiac owners to stay under the umbrella. Those moves seem to have worked, and 28.1 percent of Pontiac owners trading up made the jump into a Bowtie.
Buyers that have gone elsewhere have largely stayed loyal to Domestic automakers, with Ford picking up the most conquests from Pontiac, with 9.4 percent switching. Toyota and Honda picked up 7.4 percent of the pool of former Pontiac drivers. The numbers are defying any predictions that Pontiac buyers would completely exit the General Motors fold, and have climbed up closer to parity with the retention figures of other GM brands from a 2009 low of only 16 percent retention.
GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes
Mon, 31 Mar 2014When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod
Fri, 21 Feb 2014There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.
