1977 PONTIAC TRANS AM 6.6

Here is a chance to own a piece of history.  This car is in great condition and is a recent restoration.

I took this car in as a trade on a new camaro.  The car is very solid all around and surprisingly everything in the car works as it should.

The exterior paint on the car is in very good condition.  The body is very straight and doesnt show signs of bondo at all.  There are no major blemishes in the paint and all the decals are in excellent condition.  The interior of the car is also in great shape.  The only wear I see to it at all is in the passenger seat has a little cracking but very minor.  All of the lights, switches, locks, electronics all work as they should.  This car is a very quality driver for sure.

The car is believed to have a 403 motor that was rebuilt when the car was restored.  It runs very strong.  The car has dual exhaust and sounds great.  The car shifts as it should and seems to be geared low.  Has alot of get up and go.  You are not buying a project or someones patch job.  This is a very nice car that has had alot of money spent on it over the years.

I have had the car for a short time but people are always stopping and complimenting the condition of the car.  The new owner will be very happy with this car and be able to enjoy it for many years to come.  I have set the reserve low on this car.  I actually seen this car at a classic car auction a couple of years ago and seen what it brought there.  I have the reserve set thousands below that.  If it does not sell here it will be in the Mecum Kansas City sale.  This is your chance to save a couple thousand dollars and avoid those fees.  I am open to trades of the same quality.  I am more than happy to answer any and all questions that you may have.  I will try and install a video of the car.  Upon pickup the vehicle will be fully detailed and ready to go.  Please bid with confidence!!!!!

Thanks and Happy bidding!!!!!

I HAVE HAD ALOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAR. I CALLED THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND I AM MISTAKEN ABOUT THE MOTOR. IT IS ACTUALLY A 402 CHEVY MOTOR. ITS NOT THE ORIGINAL MOTOR. THANKS!!!

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable

Fri, 21 Sep 2012

General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]

Fri, 26 Aug 2011

You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
More importantly, which of these two cars would you rather own? Have your say in our poll below.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
