Now to the car and what it all has if you haven’t seen it this summer.

The car is a 1963 Pontiac Lemans that has been put over a tube chassis frame.. Very similar to  a Nascar Chassis. The frame work is all 2x3 square tubing and then a complete roll cage from front to back.  The body tub and doors are all steel.  The front clip is fiberglass and made by VFN fiberglass.  There is also a fiberglass rear bumper on the car.  The car weights 2900lbs w/o driver. Weight is 52% to the rear and 48% on the front.. The body is very nice no chips, cracks, scratches or damage.

The inside is very simple. Stock door panels front and rear. Kirby Seats that are very comfortable.  There is a RacePak dash that works with everything ( Oil Pressure, Engine temp, Speedo, Tack, fuel level,  and  Shift light) dash can also do a lot more if needed.   Drivers and passenger windows roll up and down   and wing windows work like original.  All headlights and turn signals work and there is also a horn.. No radio or heat.. There is a fuel cell in the trunk..  OPTIMA battery behind passenger seat, and there is fire extinguisher in the car also.

Motor is a Chevy 383 Build by AMS Racing out of West Allis WI.  I do have all paperwork on motor.  Horsepower is 510  to the crank.  It is na older GM block that was bored and a Forged Eagle rotating assembly installed.  Forged 10 to1 pistons.  The heads are CNC Ported AFR 210  with Scorpion roller rockers.  It also has a Comp Roller Cam with Crower Hippo Lifters.  Than the top has a powder coated Victor JR with a Holly 850 Carb with all K&N filters.  There is a complete Jones Racing pulley system on the car.  There is an aluminum radiator with an electric fan in the front.  All ignition is MSD with a billet distributor and a 6AL box with a blaster coil and MSD wires.

The Trans is a Tremic TKO-600 which is a 5 speed.  The shifter is a PRO 5.0 and a Joes racing handle.  The clutch is a Mcleod Twin disk with a skater shield and a Hydraulic throw out bearing.

The rear end is a Ford 9in from Moser.  It is a full floater with a Detroit  True Trac  carrier with 410 gears.   The rear end is held in with a triangle 4 link made by Art Morrison.  There is Wilwood Disk brakes and Ridetech triple adjustable shocks. There is also an aluminum drive shaft,   there is also a rear sway bar installed.

The frontend is all Art Morrison with a power rack.  Up front is also Wilwood Disk brakes with triple adjustable Ridetech shocks.

The wheels are forged Rushforth with Nitto NT05 Tires.  Front tires are 275 and rear are 315. Tires are new.  I just replaced them.

The photos you see with the lettering on the car are removed after every event. There will be no stickers on car at time of sale. I will give new owner all of the paperwork on car. All magazines and news articles. Most can be found on internet.  This car could be used for many things. (Cruising, racing, or just your local autocross or vintage racing)  I drove this car almost daily in the summer.. There are no problems driving the car anywhere. I’ve had a lot of fun with this car this summer and it is time to hand  it over to someone that will have just as much fun with it..  Over this summer I’ve driven  this car 1500 miles with no problems at all.  There is no reserve on the car it will sell to the highest bidder.  I’m very serious on sell that is why there is no reserve.  Next week there will be a different owner. I don’t want to play games just want to free up money for next project.   Have any questions ask..  262-470-6696   Please don’t ask how to build your car.

Car can be seen in Mukwonago WI 53149.  Will also have to be picked up there also.  I can help with loading.  I also have no problems with overseas sales. All payment to be made within 7 days of end of auction..  Please bid to win and make sure your wife knows that you’re bidding.

Junkyard Gem: 1984 Pontiac Fiero with supercharged 3800 V6 swap

Tue, Dec 31 2019

Like the Corvair, the Vega, and the Citation, the Pontiac Fiero was a very innovative machine that ended up causing General Motors more headaches than happiness, and Fiero aficionados and naysayers continue to beat each other with tire irons (figuratively speaking, I hope) to this day. The General has often proved willing to take the occasional big gamble and huge GM successes in engineering prowess (including the first overhead-valve V8 engine for the masses and the first real-world-usable true automatic transmission) and marketing brilliance (e.g., the Pontiac GTO and related John DeLorean home runs) meant that the idea of a mid-engined sporty economy car (or economical sports car) got a shot from the suits on the 14th floor. Sadly, the Fiero ended up being the marketplace victim of too many issues to get into here, and The General pulled the plug immediately after the 1988-model-year suspension redesign that made the Fiero the sports car it should have been all along. But what if the plastic Pontiac had never suffered from the misery of the gnashy, pokey Iron Duke engine and had been built from the start with a screaming supercharged V6 making way better than 200 horsepower? The final owner of today's Junkyard Gem sought to make that very Fiero, by dropping in one of the many supercharged 3.8-liter V6s installed in 1990s and 2000s GM factory hot rods. The first Fieros came out in 1983 for model year 1984, and the only engine available that year was the Iron Duke 2.5-liter four-cylinder, which generated its 92 horsepower with the full-throated song of a Soviet tractor stuck in the freezing mud of a Polish sugar-beet field. The 2M4 badging stood for "two seats, mid-engine, four cylinders," just as the numbers in the Oldsmobile 4-4-2 once represented "four carburetor barrels, four-speed manual transmission, dual exhaust." This car is a top-trim-level SE model, which listed for $9,599 (about $24,200 today). The no-frills Fiero cost just $7,999 that year, making these cars far cheaper than the only other reasonably affordable new mid-engined car Americans could buy at that time: the $13,990 Bertone (aka Fiat) X1/9. The Toyota MR2 appeared in North America as a 1985 model with a base price of $10,999 and promptly siphoned off the car-buying cash from a bunch of potential Fiero shoppers.

GM recalling 70k Chevy Malibus, Pontiac G6s over steering issue

Sun, Feb 15 2015

A problem with the power steering system in the Chevy Malibu and Pontiac G6 has prompted General Motors and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall for an estimated 69,633 vehicles. The issue revolves around the electric power steering assist, which could suddenly fail and increase the risk of a crash, especially at low speeds where the power steering is most helpful. The recall affects 2006-2007 Chevy Malibu sedans and Malibu Maxx wagons (specifically those manufactured between April 1, 2006, and June 30, 2006), as well as the Pontiac G6 (which was offered as a sedan, coupe or convertible) from the same model years and manufactured from April 18, 2006, to June 30, 2006. Owners of the affected units can expect to hear from the manufacturer with instructions to bring in their vehicles to their local dealers to have the torque sensors in the power steering system replaced. RECALL Subject : Sudden Loss of Electric Power Steering , 1 INVESTIGATION(S) Report Receipt Date: FEB 04, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V064000 Component(s): STEERING Potential Number of Units Affected: 69,633 Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2006-2007 Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx vehicles manufactured April 1, 2006, to June 30, 2006, and 2006-2007 Pontiac G6 vehicles manufactured April 18, 2006, to June 30, 2006. In the affected vehicles, there may be a sudden loss of electric power steering (EPS) assist that could occur at any time while driving. CONSEQUENCE: If power steering assist is lost, greater driver effort would be required to steer the vehicle at low speeds, increasing the risk of a crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the torque sensor assembly, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Pontiac customer service at 1-800-762-2737. GM's number for this recall is 14772. Note: This is an expansion of recall 14V-153 to cover additional vehicles built between April 1, 2006 and June 30, 2006. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability is subject to change. No donation or payment necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze. Normally when we write about Omaze sweepstakes, they involve a car that you'd never go out and buy on your own. A six-figure camper van build, a $300,000 Ford Bronco restoration, a Land Rover Defender that's so beautiful it should be in a museum. Today's prize might beat out all of those, because not only could you win a dream car, you'll be entered for a chance to win $100k cash to go along with it.  There are a lot of cars you can buy with $100k. You could buy a Land Cruiser Heritage Edition or a Mustang GT500 or 6 Chevy Sparks and start your own racing series. Personally, if I won that kind of dough, assuming I also won this Bentley Bentayga, my favorite of Omaze's current offerings, I'd probably use some of it to buy something quirky, like a Honda Element converted into a pop-top camper, or a restored/upgraded 60 series Land Cruiser. Think that's a terrible way to spend the cash? That's the beauty of it. It is completely up to you. No one can tell you what to do with it.
