VERY RARE 40TH ANNIVERSARY DAYTONA 500 PACE CAR. THIS IS THE YEAR THAT DALE EARNHARDT WON. THIS IS CAR NUMBER 176 OUT OF 1500 EVER MADE. THIS CAR CAME FROM ALABAMA ORIGINALLY AND WAS PROBABLY AT THE TRACK THAT DAY. WHAT MAKES THIS CAR EVEN MORE RARE IS THAT ONLY 100 WERE EVER MADE WITH SUNROOFS. INTERIOR IS GRAY LEATHER WITH POWER DRIVER'S SEAT. IT HAS THE 3.8 SUPERCHARGED ENGINE. ALSO HAS A THROTTLE BODY SPACER, NEWER FACTORY INJECTORS, THEY FACTORY "U-BEND" IN THE EXHAUST WAS TAKEN OUT AND REPLACED WITH A STAINLESS STRAIGHT PIPE (PLUS 7 HP), CHROME STRUT BRACE, I'M SURE THERE'S MORE?? PARTS THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED: ALL FOUR WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLIES, ALTERNATOR, FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, WATER PUMP, RADIATOR HOSES (COMPLETE SYSTEM WAS PRESSURE CHECKED), PLUGS, WIRES THIS, "NEW" BATTERY. ALSO REPLACED IN - TANK FUEL PUMP/SENDING UNIT. THE TRANSMISSION FILTER AND FLUID WERE ALSO REPLACED. THIS CAR HAS THE HEAVY DUTY TRANSMISSION WITH PERFORMANCE SHIFT OPTION ON THE SHIFT HANDLE (COOL OPTION FOR FIRM SHIFT). CAR HAS ABOUT 320 HP AND SHOULD DO 140+ MPH. HAS ALL OF THE POWER GOODIES: POWER WINDOWS, LOCKS, REMOTE MIRRORS, A/C, CRUISE, POWER SUNROOF, CD PLAYER / 8 SPEAKER STEREO WITH EQ (UPGRADED INFINITY SPEAKERS), STEREO STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS, HEADS UP DISPLAY ON WINDSHIELD. THIS CAR HANDLES VERY GOOD WITH THESE TIRES AND NEW SUSPENSION. I AM ALSO GOING TO THROW IN A FACTORY SET OF NEW CARPETED GM FLLORMATS THAT I NEVER REALLY USED (DIDN'T WANT TO GET THEM DIRTY) THESE WERE $80 COST. YES, IT HAS FLAWS - SOME RUST (NOT MUCH), LITTLE DENT'S AND DINGS (THE USUAL FOR AGE). - STILL LOOKS GOOD! RUNS GREAT AND WILL GET 32 PLUS MPG ON THE HIGHWAY, 24 - 27 MPG DRIVING AROUND NORMAL. I DO NOT BEAT ON THIS CAR, I AM 44 YEARS OLD. WE HAVE A TWO YEAR OLD AND THIS IS NOT A GOOD DAYCARE CAR FOR ME (BEING A TWO DOOR). JUST BOUGHT AN SUV LAST MONTH, TIME FOR THIS CAR TO GO. IT HAS HIGHER MILES ON IT, 90% HIGHWAY MILES (12,600 YEARLY), BUT RUNS LIKE A CHAMP - ALL NEW TUNE UP PARTS. IT WILL HONESTLY GO ANOTHER 100,000.IT ALSO HAS A NEWER FACTORY UPGRADED SUSPENSION (ORIGINAL HEIGHT). Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes

Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.

Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
