You are looking at a 1969 Pontiac GTO with a factory (date coded) 400 with working A/C. A complete frame on restoration this GTO is in excellent condition with no leaks. The car runs strong and at 100%. Even the A/C works!!

Exterior:

As you can see from the pictures, the car presents very well.  This is a frame on restoration and the car is show quality.  But please keep in mind, when I say show quality, it will stand tall at any local car show or cruise night.  You’re not going to win any concourse judging with it.  It is a great driver quality.  The car for the most part is pretty straight.  All floors, frame and trunk are solid.  The paint shines great but up close you can see some minor flaws.  I mean up VERY close.   The chrome and bright work is in good condition as well.  The vinyl top is also in excellent condition.   All the glass is clear and chip free.  Lights and marker lights work as they should.  Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions.

Interior:

The interior of the car is in excellent condition.  As you can see from the pictures it presents itself very well.  No rips, tears and the headliner is in excellent condition. There is a small cracked area on the dash above the glove compartment.  Everything works in the interior including the a/c.   The a/c blows cool to cold but not ice cold.  Again the car will stand tall at any local show or cruise night and is above driver quality condition.  The pictures will speak for themselves and I have many more pictures I can send.

Drive train:

The engine is a factory replacement 400 with a TH 400 transmission.  The engine is a Pontiac 400 and we believe was replaced by the factory back in the early 70’s.  It is considered to be a warranty replacement block.  So the engine is correct, it’s not a numbers matching block.  All the belts, hoses, tires, brakes, suspension and exhaust are all road worthy.  And the car runs and sounds great with no leaks.  The TH400 shift strong and on the money.  The limited slip non posi rear is quiet and operates great.    Please look at the pictures and let me know if you have questions.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:

GM recalling another 2.7 million vehicles in five separate campaigns

Thu, 15 May 2014

The recalls keep rolling in from General Motors, evidently keen to avoid repeating the mistakes of the ignition-switch debacle and clean house. This time they're all coming at once, with five separate recalls announced together covering approximately 2.7 million vehicles.
The largest of the five actions involves over 2.4 million units of the previous-generation Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura in order to fix brake light wiring harness, which have been found to be susceptible to corrosion. The recall is separate from the 56k Aura sedans which GM recently recalled over faulty shift cables, not to mention the previous massive recall of 1.3 million vehicles - some of them the same models - but appears to have resulted from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation that started with the G6 almost a year ago.
The second-largest campaign involves the 2014 Chevy Malibu, specifically those fitted with GM's 2.5-liter engine and stop/start system, approximately 140,000 examples of which has been found to have problematic brakes. The issue does not appear to be connected to the recall of 8k Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans (also involving brake woes) which we reported upon last week. Four crashes have been reported in such models, but GM admits it's not yet clear if the problem was a contributing factor in the accidents.
