1964 Pontiac Gto Clone Convertible Gto With 4 Speed Manual Transmission on 2040-cars
Studio City, California, United States
This car is a famous Hollywood Picture car. I use it for photo shoots, music videos, feature films and weddings. I drive only 1,000 miles a year. It makes me money every year. It is NOT a show car. What it is a great reliable daily driver that has awesome front disk brakes, $2500 Hotchkis suspension, strong running engine, new radiator, crystal clear NOS windshield and working power top and great clutch. I would jump in the car and drive right now cross country with it. However, I need to move to Orlando, Florida (from Los Angeles, CA) in 10 days due to my wife's job and can not take all my vehicles with me so I need to sell it fast. By Wednesday July 9th It must be sold! I purchased the car in 1998 and never had it for sale until today.

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction
Mon, 01 Aug 2011For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.

This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels
Sat, 14 Dec 2013We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.
