Autocheck Certified
vehicle from Naples, Florida and only 70,660 miles!

2007 Pontiac G5 loaded with extras

Performance Autos of SW Florida
My name is Mike and I can be reached at 239-895-3962

Being from Florida I can't find a speck
of rust on this car and it is spotless inside. Runs, drives and shifts
nice and no rattles or squeaks either.

Had to be "garage"
kept and never smoked in because the paint and interior are near "flawless".

Loaded with lots of extras like 16" custom alloy
wheels-rear spoiler-tinted windows-custom accent stripe-keyless remote
with 2 keys and 2 remotes plus a hard to find color in Sunburst Orange Metallic.

Best of all is
the nifty 2.2L 4 cylinder Ecotec engine that doesn't need a tune up till
100,000 miles. Low on maintenance, provides power with 148
horsepower and yields an economical 22 combined/29 highway.

Some people
tested were even getting 35 MPG's according to fueleconomy.gov.

We also had this vehicle safety inspected and this was already previously done
at Germain Toyota in Naples, Florida, where we bought the vehicle. We
did change the oil; this vehicle already has new brakes and a
nice set of Nexen tires on it.

Questions?
Call Mike 239-895-3962

Other standard features include air bags-automatic
transmission-ice cold air conditioner-Delco am/fm cd player-power
windows, locks, side view mirrors and trunk release-cruise control-tilt
wheel-owners manual-fold down rear seats plus many more.

The air conditioner blows ice
cold and all the power equipment works including all of the speakers.

Can't find a reason not to buy!

This vehicle was on the lot at Germain
Toyota for $8999 plus like most Dealers you also have to pay an extra
"Dealer Fee" up to $1000 more. We are probably the only dealer in
Florida without "Dealer Fees."

If you would like to make a reasonable offer call Mike right now at 239-895-3962

We have this vehicle on sale on our lot
for only $7990; however to help with the shipping we have lowered the
buy it now to only $7333 and no extra dealer fee.

If you have any
questions call me right now at (239) 895-3962 and "I WILL ANSWER", or
call back right away! Thank you for your consideration,
Michael J Medinis, GSM, Performance Autos of SW Florida.

****PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING****

  • We ask that all successful bidders please contact me within 24 hours of auction end to begin process of completing the sale. Please do not make a bid on my car if you have no intention of buying it. Time is precious, let's not waste each other's. We promise to be fair to you, please do the same for us.
  • All vehicles are sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed or implied. Buyer assumes all responsibility once vehicle leaves our possession. The vehicle will be described accurately, but remember these are used cars, they will show signs as such. You are not bidding on brand new cars, so there may be parts of the vehicle that are not brand new. We are sure this is obvious to most people, but we just want it to be perfectly clear. We will do our best to describe all the obvious and important things so you have a good idea of what you are buying.  With advance notice we will make our vehicles available for a PRE-BID inspection. This must be completed prior to bidding.  We are an appointment only dealership.  Please just either email or contact us by phone when making an appointment to view a vehicle or to pick up one you have purchased.  Thanks so much.
  • All vehicles 10 or more years old are sold exempt from mileage guarantees unless specifically mentioned. If we have documentation to back up the miles on these older cars, we will.
  • Payment will be made by cashiers check, money order or wire transfer. A $500 dollar non- refundable deposit (PayPal preferred) must be received within 3 business days following close of auction and remainder paid in 7 days.
  • Florida residents must include 6% sales tax. According to Florida law, if an out-of-state purchaser takes delivery of a vehicle in the state of Florida we are obligated as a licensed dealer to collect sales tax at a rate equal to the purchasers state sales tax. The purchaser will then be given a receipt proving tax paid to present to their tax collectors office for sales tax credit. This does not apply to vehicles shipped out of state, only ones picked up in Florida.
  • Buyer assumes the cost of shipping and insurance. We already have contacts to ship the vehicle anywhere in the U.S.A. and will be glad to arrange this for you, and give you cost estimate ahead of time. If you are going to fly in, we will arrange transportation from the Ft. Myers International Airport.
  • All titles are guaranteed to be clean and free of any liens. If you would like documentation, contact us, and we will gladly get it for you.
  • Remember you are entering into a legally binding contract. WE WILL GIVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK ON ANY FINAL BIDDER THAT REFUSES TO HONOR HIS OR HER OBLIGATION!!!
  • Because of our local customers, we must reserve the right to cancel any auction early. This will be rare because we want to give everyone a fair chance. So don't be afraid to bid.
  • As with any preowned vehicle, personal preference is a factor.  Please consider and expect to invest a few hundred dollars into your new car, catering it to your individual tastes and requirements. We do try our very best to objectively describe our offerings and welcome your emails and phone inquiries. Again, Thank You.
  • Please use Paypal for $500 deposits only.  It assists in controlling our costs and can be accessed by logging in to http://www.paypal.com/, clicking send money, our email is Performance25@aol.com and selecting services.  Thanks so much for your help.

We make every effort to have ourselves available to show and deliver vehicles. However, Sunday is a day of rest, worship, and family for us. Therefore we do not conduct business on that day.

Junkyard Gem: 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Daytona 500 Edition

Tue, Aug 29 2017

The W Platform proved to be extremely long-lived and versatile for General Motors, remaining in production from 1988 all the way through 2016. You had your Impalas and your Regals and your Cutlass Supremes, and of course the 1988-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was a W-body. For the 2000 model year, Pontiac made the racy-looking Daytona 500 Edition Grand Prix, an example of which I just found in a Northern California self-service wrecking yard. 2,000 of these cars were made, presumably because it was the year 2000, and each one sports plenty of cool-looking Daytona 500 graphics. Perhaps some Regal owner will buy these seats and swap them. This is the second junked Daytona 500 Grand Prix I have seen recently, after this one in Colorado. The Daytona 500 was about the same as the GTP version, with Eaton-supercharged 3800 engine making a respectable 240 horsepower. Disappointingly, this car has an automatic transmission. It never saw 150,000 miles, unlike most 21st-century W-bodies I see in wrecking yards. Featured Gallery Junked 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Daytona 500 Edition View 21 Photos Auto News Pontiac Sedan

BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium

Fri, Jun 12 2015

Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull. Junkyard Gem: 1986 Pontiac Sunbird Sedan

Sun, Jun 28 2020

The J-Body platform was a giant seller for GM, staying in production from the first 1981 Chevrolet Cavalier all the way through that final 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. Outside of North America, Opels and Daewoos and Isuzus and Holdens and Vauxhalls and even Toyotas flew the J flag, and better than ten million rolled out of showrooms during that quarter-century. In the United States, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Buick, and Cadillac each sold J-Bodies. Of those, the Pontiac Sunbird often had the sportiest image, more cavalier than even the Cavalier Z24. I've documented a discarded Sunbird Turbo in the past, and now here's a bread-and-butter Sunbird sedan from the same era. The Sunbird name began its life in 1976 on the Pontiac-badged version of the rear-wheel-drive Buick Skyhawk, itself based on the Chevy Vega. The first J-Body Pontiacs had J2000 badges, then 2000 badges, then 2000 Sunbird badges, until finally the pure non-2000 Sunbird appeared for the 1985 model year. I remain disappointed that the 2000 name didn't survive into our current century, because we could have had a 2000 Pontiac 2000, or just the "2000 2000" for short. The base engine in the '86 Sunbird was this SOHC 1.8-liter four of Brazilian origin, rated at 84 horsepower. Originally developed by Opel in the late 1970s, this engine family went into cars built all across the sprawling GM empire. 84 horsepower doesn't sound like much— and it wasn't much, even by 1986 standards— but at least the original buyer of this car had the smarts to get the five-speed manual transmission. This car weighed just 2,336 pounds, a good 500 pounds lighter than the current Chevy Sonic, so performance with the manual transmission was tolerable. The '86 Sunbird's interior was much nicer than those in its Cavalier siblings, though nowhere near the Cadillac Cimarron's reading on the Plush-O-Meter. An AM/FM/cassette stereo with auto reverse was serious audio hardware in a cheap car during the middle 1980s, when even a scratchy factory AM-only radio cost the equivalent of several hundred 2020 bucks. The price tag of this car started at $7,495, or about $17,500 in 2020 dollars. The cheapest possible Cavalier sedan went for $6,888 in 1986, but a zero-option base '86 Cavalier would make you think you'd been transported to the Soviet Union every time you slunk into its harsh confines.
