2002 Ws6 Automatic on 2040-cars
Biloxi, Mississippi, United States
Holy Grail of all Muscle Cars! 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 All Silver colored T/A's no matter what year have more value than any other color! (FACT) This unit was adult owned and well maintained. Recently installed a TRUE Transmission shop rebuilt truck unit, (automatic) shipped in from my builder in Florida. Of course a new Rear Main seal was installed, this unit does NOT spot the floor with any fluid drips. Both CATS were replaced, all shocks were replaced, water pump, fresh speakers, window motors, oil pressure and oil pan volume sending units were replaced. To many fresh items to mention but have all recent receipts. Spark plugs just replaced and have fresh Diagnostic Print Out from Dealership proving a CLEAN bill of health. Car is super strong and trans shifts hard! I freshened this unit myself as a keeper but leaving country and the Duty Tax in my NEW country is way to high to import it there. Must sell. You can buy a cheaper one and you can also do all the repairs it will take to get the car perfect, this has been done you will not need to address these issues on this car. Have two brake rotors and a window motor new in the box to go with car. 98,000 miles and none from rough road driving. Car is in EXCELLENT condition with NO childish 'performance' upgrades. Tires are in great condition, body has no dings or dents, 100% Carfax report. These cars are 80% Fiberglass and the LS1 engine is super tough so you can expect to see these live a VERY long time! ATTENTION: Because EBAY will NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE at the ebay 'selling limit department' I am STILL unable to raise that idiot selling limit restriction so I may price my auto! Funny how I bought this and TWO other collector cars from ebay but they are NO HELP AT ALL when it comes to selling the SAME vehicles, hummm. Thanx for being unmanned at the telephone call center there ebay!! On Nov-08-13 at 17:41:47 PST, seller added the following information:OK, listen up, If you understand what I disclosed in my description supplement you may easily deduce that since I have an UNLIMITED BUYER Limit ebay (for what ever logical reason) has my seller limit set at $7500.00, since I have $7300.00 of goods up for auction I suppose that can mean I must start my bid on this auto at $200.00, R U following so far? Stop with the messages about shipping it to you when you win this machine for$3200.00 ha! I once again attempted to raise my selling limit and JUST LIKE ALWAYS the button goes NO WHERE! No,it won't even budge and once I finally get a call center monkey to pick up I always get transferred to the 'selling department' and, yeah, you guessed it, staying on the phone REPEATEDLY for hours gets NO ONE!! Pretty sick wouldn't you say, any one out there got any juice with these clowns tell em to give me a call, I would like to sell the same cars that I bought here, jus sayin. Oh, and if you think this is a 'give it to ya deal, WRONG, the reserve is $17,500.00, NOT MY FAULT EBAY HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, thanx for bidding. |

Jay Leno tries out a 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge that looks factory fresh
Tue, Jan 31 2017The latest machine to show up on Jay Leno's Garage is arguably the most iconic Pontiac GTO, the 1970 Judge. The example here is a radically red model and features all of the nifty Judge features, such as the mega-size rear wing, hood-mounted tachometer, and ram air hood scoop. The latter of which had a panel in the hood that would open up at full throttle to let in all that cool air from outside. The car is owned by the Wade Kawasaki, president of Coker Tires, a company that specializes in reproducing classic tires. Not surprisingly, his GTO features a set of the company's Firestone Wide Oval tires. That particular tire would have come with the car originally, but these new versions are built like modern radial tires, rather than the slippery bias-ply originals. The tires are indicative of how Kawasaki restored the rest of his Judge. Everything has been taken back to factory-spec. It has a stock, 400-cubic inch V8 that makes a supposedly underrated 366 horsepower, and it's complete with the chrome valve covers and foam intake seal. The tires are accompanied by exact replica GTO Judge wheels. The car even has the true, original interior. Somehow, the upholstery, dash, and other interior components survived in excellent condition. Check out the video above for more details on this flashy muscle car, as well as some reminiscing about the "good ol' days," and some history on the origins of the car's name. Related Video:
Junkyard Gem: 2010 Pontiac G6
Sat, Sep 12 2020What makes a discarded car a gem? Sometimes it's a car we all agree is very cool, and other times it's a car that tells us something about automotive history. Today's Junkyard Gem is the latter type: one of the very last Pontiacs sold, before The General shut out the lights forever on the storied marque after 84 years. The G6 was Pontiac's Epsilon-platform-based car, sibling to the Chevy Malibu, Saturn Aura, and Saab 9-3 (plus a bunch of Europe-only machinery). The very last Pontiac ever built was a white 2010 G6 sedan like this one (all '10 G6s were sedans, the coupe and convertible having been nixed in 2009), though that car was built in January of 2010 and this one came off the line in July of 2009. They build Bolts at the Orion Assembly plant these days. The higher-zoot G6s came with V6s or even V8s, but this car has "fleet machine" written all over it and has the base 2.4-liter Ecotec four-banger making 164 horsepower. Pontiac shoppers in the United States could buy the Vibe as a 2010 model as well, while Mexican Pontiac dealerships also sold new G2s (known as the Spark here) that year. The G6 was The Final Pontiac, though, bookending a run that began with the 1926 Pontiac Six. This one will go to its grave with the original owner's manual still inside. Even the cheapest 2010 G6s came with an AUX jack for the radio, a feature that was still maddeningly hard to find in rental cars a decade ago. This content is hosted by a third party. Fiero-based Zimmer Quicksilver was objectively terrible, but we'd totally drive it
Wed, Jan 19 2022Now here's something you don't see everyday. It's listed in our classified ads as a 1986 Pontiac Fiero, but as you can see, that description is a bit misleading. In fact, it's a Zimmer Quicksilver, which was indeed built atop the guts of a mid-engine Fiero coupe but was heavily modified by the Zimmer Motorcars Corporation at a facility in Pompano Beach, Florida. And the one you see here actually seems to be a pretty decent deal for a highly unusual car. We're not sure what was a more popular starting point for kit and custom cars in the 1980s and 1990s, but it would have to be either the Fiero or the vintage air-cooled Volkswagen Beetle. Fiero-based machines usually mimicked the design direction of any number of highly desirable Italian stallions, most commonly, we'd guess, the Lamborghini Countach. The Quicksilver is an altogether different animal, with over a foot of extra wheelbase added in front of the A-pillar to make for a dramatic, long and low silhouette that somehow still only has barely enough room for two passengers in its leather- and wood-lined interior. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. A stock 2.8-liter V6 engine from General Motors is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission that sends 140 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. Period road tests found the 0-60 run took a little over 10 seconds, which is terrible today but wasn't all that bad for the mid '80s. Best we can tell, only around 170 Quicksilvers were made between 1984 and 1988, which are, not coincidentally, the same years that Pontiac produced the Fiero. The 1986 Zimmer Quicksilver you see here is priced at $18,495 and shows well under 30,000 miles on the odometer. There aren't a lot of Zimmer Quicksilvers currently for sale for us to compare, but the ones we did find that had sold within the last few years suggest a little under $20,000 is a reasonable asking price. It could be a fun and offbeat addition to the garage, and if nothing else, you're not likely to see another one at your local car show. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
