1969 Pontiac Firebird 350, cloned to a 400 Convertible Real Deal Matador Red (Code 52) Black Interior Black Power Top (New) 82990 ACTUAL MILES, Paperwork and history confirm mileage, comes with a ACTUAL MILEAGE TITLE This is a very nice example of what a 1969 Firebird should be. This is a all original body panel uncut car from best I can tell. This is absolutely NOT a bondo bucket or abused, neglected car. This is a car that has been lovingly maintained over the years. The car is largely original. The top was replaced recently as well as both lift cylinders and convertible top pump at that time. Fit and finish on this car is great. The floors and trunk pan are free of rot and rust. The rear frame rails, shock towers are all excellent. The pinch weld on the rockers is very nice, with the spot welds clearly evident. The doors have excellent definition of the shell to skin, with no blistering or other rust issues evident. I removed the door panels to investigate for rust on the inside of the skin, none evident. The bottom of the quarter panels have spot welds evident indicating to me no bondo in the 1/4 panels. The trunk floor and drop offs are both excellent. The car has the original 350 engine Code XB, The car runs and drives great, with no overheating, pulling, or unusual noises. The rear end is coded for a 3.08 posi, no noise or issues with the rear end. The interior on the car is FANTASTIC! No issues whatsoever! Looks like it was never sat in. All lights, signals, ect. work as they should. Tires are BRAND NEW! This car is VERY straight, with excellent gaps and fitment. The paint on the car has had one repaint in correct Matador Red. The paint is great for a driver, with no rust bubbles or anything like that. However once again I am extremely picky…and the paint does have some imperfections from age. Overall, a very solid, honest car. Not a perfect car, but not priced as such either. Car is for sale locally and auction may be ended at anytime. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WELCOME! Call 312 622 7533 with any questions or concerns...or to just talk Pontiacs! See My Other Auction, as I have a Windward Blue 69 in almost identical condition 400 car that I purchased from the original owners some time ago as his/hers Firebirds |

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k
Fri, 08 Aug 2014General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.
