You are bidding on a 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus original P code 400 HP automatic car. This is an 85k mile original car that has the matching numbers 400 engine and transmission. I purchased this car in pretty much the same condition as you see it except for the addition of the wheels and tires. This is a nice original car that has been repainted ( approx. 7 years ago) and runs and drives very nice and is very dependable. The previous owner who painted this car described the body as virtually rust free except for a small rust area on the bottom rear of the driver door and the driver side foot well area of the floor pan which was replaced. The car was painted the original GY9 Tawny Gold metallic in PPG base coat/clear coat. The car is super straight and has nice gaps around all of the panels. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner and has a mild hydraulic Competition Cam with roughly 480 lift and 280 duration which has a nice choppy idle. It has Hooker Competition headers with the original intake manifold and a remanufactured Thermoquad carb. The exhaust has "cut-outs" with 2 1/2" exhaust through Flowmaster mufflers and turn downs just after the axle. The car runs and sounds very good. I have the original orange dual snorkel air cleaner that is in very good condition but needs refinished. The 727 automatic was also rebuilt and shifts very firm. The car has the original 8 3/4 differential with 3.23 gears. The original 26" radiator has been re-cored and the engine runs very cool. The front suspension has been completely rebuilt and the power steering box has been rebuilt by Steer & Gear and has been upgraded to "firm feel". I have owned many Mopars and this car is the nicest driving car that I have ever owned. The front disk rear drum brakes have been completely gone through and perform well. I recently purchased Wheel Vintiques rallye wheels with new centers and trim rings. The fronts are 15x7 with new RWL 235/60 15 radials and the rears are 15x8 with new RWL 275/60 15 radials. The wheels and tires have less than 500 miles on them.The interior is mostly original except for the front seat covers and the carpet. The dash pad is perfect The rallye instrument cluster has the 150 mph speedometer that functions very smooth. The original clock does not work and I have not tested it to see why it does not. All of the other gauges function properly. The radio area is uncut and I have the original am/fm radio with cassette recorder plug. In fact the fender tag shows code R26 which is am/fm with stereo cassette. Unfortunately the cassette recorder is long gone but you can see the mounting holes on the console. The original Tuff steering wheel is in very nice shape for its age. The original rear seat cover has a small tear on the passenger side. The car originally had air conditioning but it is not hooked up. I have all of the original components but they would probably need gone through. The heater core is new as is the heater control valve. The partial vinyl top is original and in very nice condition. All of the stainless is in excellent condition. The bumpers are original and look really nice with only minor blemishing. The original chrome dual sport racing mirrors have some pitting but look respectable. I have only a partial build sheet that was recovered from the rear seat. If you are looking for a clean, dependable, and original big block muscle car for the show season then this is the car for you. This car is the next best thing to owning a 71 GTX for a lot less money. 'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
